What have you done to prevent burnout today? Preventing Burnout at 7 Cups
Hi everyone! This is a forum post linked to the path 'Preventing Burnout at 7 Cups'
What have you done to prevent burnout today?
This can a variety of things like:
• Saying no to a task because you have enough on your plate
• Taking part in self-care activities
• Taking a self-care break from 7 Cups
@RainbowRosie
Sounds so nice :) I love a good doggo walk :) Excellent job taking care of yourself and your puppers!
@broadfemmelovelive me too ❤️ I love dogs

I listened to my body and did my work very slowly today. I took time for healthy meals, made sure I stayed hydrated and also talked with my family :) I stayed fairly sill most of the day but managed a short stretch with my meditation practice. Burnout recovery is constantly evaluating your body while maintaining good habits that fuel your recovery.
i was barely on cups today and will probably not do much tomorrow either
@Hope
After a week of continuous exams, I took a self-care break before approaching the international exams :)

I spent time with my dogs who always make me laugh and feel less stress. I also watched a comedy special from a favorite comedian, and when my sister dropped my son off I was able to talk to her for a bit and see my nieces. My older niece is so funny and her little sister is adorable (and with their Mom there they weren't my responsibility, lol, so no stress).
@Hope
Previously I've taken a 3 month break from 7Cups to focus on school :)
I took time to do some personal reading, took time with friends and did some exercise.
@Nvlmi
these are all really good ways to take care of yourself 😊
@Hope Hi :) I've been working really hard at my self-care activities! I have mild anxiety about schoolwork, and taking breaks has been really hard for me for a long time. I've been making an effort in the past few months to do them more often, and they have really helped my mental health. It gives me time and space to de-stress and reset by doing something that makes me feel happy, before going back to my schoolwork.

I haven't had any chats since starting LDP Monday but I have spent today focusing on studying burnout till my check-in meeting. My self care task was I drank my morning tea, though.
What have you done to prevent burnout today?
Today, I took the time I needed to relax so I could be refreshed for the week moving forward. I did some low-stress chores today.
(I said today twice in that two sentence response and we're just going to ignore that, haha)
@Hope
I took a break from work in order to give my mind the relaxation it needed.
@Hope
I didnt go to a social gathering that was stressing me out, I stayed at home and made art
@Hope
Today I have taken the morning off cups, to do some self care and go on a walk :)
I worked on staying in bed, without any strings or conditions attached. To allow myself all the time I needed to go and take on tasks. Just allowing myself the freedom to say no to responsibilities and saying yes to more self care was my way of managing burnout for today

I so seldom feel burnout these days. I make it a point to pace myself and find that as a professional, saying 'NO' is one of the best things to learn to do. When I feel overwhelmed, I stop, reflect and meditate. I am not a listener, so I need not take a break from 7 Cups.
@Hope
Today I painted a canvas to take my mind off of all the other issues going on in my life so I can deal with them tomorrow with full force again!
@Hope Thank you for your post!
What have you done to prevent burnout today?
I spent time with my family and my boyfriend
@Hope
I felt that I was reaching my limit for chats today and stopped taking chats after that for today and went on a walk instead and made myself coffee
@Hope I took a long break today was my first time taking a member after a couple of days and I set up a timeframe to talk as soon as we started the conversation
@Hope
I had taken a mini break from Saturday to Sunday, from accepting member chat requests.
I created a member account and connected with a listener!
I focused on my growth path.
