Safety Stuff

Kieran000 3 hours ago

Hello everyone. I just wanted to make this post to consolidate all the different information we have around the site relating to reporting and safety, as requested within a recent safety discussion.

Other posts that provide a good overview include this one by Tommy here and this here by @WarmChocolateMug and this masterpost by @AnnaSilverberg

To begin with, I’d like to provide an overview of the safety structure here on 7 cups. First, we have Safety Patrol, which are listeners and members who can flag profiles that have inappropriate bios, usernames and pictures. If you see a profile which you feel is clearly inappropriate, please feel free to send it to any one of these users below.

Safety Patrol

Then, we have the Safety Team, split into Safety Outreach Team (SO) and Safety Discussions Team (SD). These people are trained to reach out to individuals with fixable profile violations and/or are trained at hosting safety related group chat discussions. They are also part of the safety patrol team but are not tagged above to prevent repetition, so do feel free to send profiles to these people especially if they are unclearly inappropriate.

Safety Outreach Team and Safety Discussions Team

@Coolvibes @KindnessMatters2020 @izzyy528 @MelodyoftheOcean / @daydreammemories

Now, we have the PA and leaders of the safety team, who you can send profiles to as well, all are trained to be part of Safety Outreach Team, Safety Discussions Team and Safety Patrol, as well as recruiting for each team, checking-in with team members and other stuff! Feel free to send extremely inappropriate profiles here if needed as we can deal with it fast if it’s necessary.

Please note, the below leaders, as well as the above, may be extremely busy at times so might not be able to respond quickly. For me, I usually respond quickly within the hour, and never longer than 5 hours to an immediately concerning message/situation. Also, keep in mind some may be on break, so I only recommend contacting those who you are familiar with, have been active recently, seen in chatrooms, or if they’re online/green dot on picture here and always respect their right to not be available at times. ❤️❤️

Safety Leadership Team

@Rebekah @Tommy @EvelyneRose / @Kieran000

I hope this has provided you with an up-to-date understanding of the extra safety peeps that help out, and who you can reach out to with any concerns regarding account profiles on the site.

Now, I’d like to give an overview of the different types of reports that you can use and what’s most suitable for each situation.

Reporting

Member Group Chat Review Form - You can use this to provide positive or constructive feedback on anyone who was present in the room. This may include moderators use of moderation tools, room supporter behaviour, or member and listeners’ general behaviour.

Submit a Request via Zendesk - You can use this link to access options for Data Removal Requests, Deleting Accounts, Requesting Refunds on Therapy, Account Reinstatement, Product Bugs, Reporting Listeners, Reporting Members, Updating your Age and a few other options.

There are other kinds of report forms floating around, like the verified listener report form etc, but to streamline the reporting processes it may be best to just submit via Zendesk (preferred) or email community@7cups.com with concerns, as long as it gets seen by the community management team in a safe way I’m sure it’s fine.

7 cups does not provide information on the outcome of reports, so if you feel your report has been ignored, it most likely hasn’t, please read the behavioural points system which has most likely been implemented for any reports you’ve made.

If in the unlikely but possible instance that there is any concern about an admin/s themselves, the point of contact is @Heather225 who is our community manager.

I hope this post has provided you all with a consolidated overview on our safety structure and preferable methods of reporting.

Thank you all for reading, and for those who participated in the safety discussion earlier. Happy to respond to any questions in replies to this thread. Take care ❤️

@Kieran000

thank you for the port of access for those in clear violation and hosting a discussion on such a needed topic.

i do however have personal grievances with this whole subject while equally disliking the ability for member listeners chats to be seen.

Regardless of personal issues it does take a unified effort to identify issues as they present. The safety of everyone is something that without doubt you can count on me to uphold when and where I can, to the fullest of my ability.

thanks for the post and means of reporting. Definitely a better means than emotions getting myself in trouble.
