Forum Functionality: Provide Feedback Here!

Hello, everyone!

As you might be aware, there are some on-going forum changes taking place. You can use this thread to provide any feedback, suggestions on forum functionality (functions, features, utility, any technical aspects only) or bugs that you encounter.

This is mainly being done to help keep things organized as it can be hard to gather it from various places/people and ease up the process for everyone to pass on feedback further to the 7 Cups team.

We encourage everyone to use this thread for its purpose anytime and use it for only that. Kindly review this post for any other feedback/behavior reports that don't involve forum functionality.

The links to see everyone's forum threads are not working for listeners. This is both using the link and typing in the username as well as using the link on people's profiles (ie. Search more from ...)

The links are not broken, they just bring up 0 results. Oddly, for the members I have tried this does work. The same is true for my own accounts, I can see all my threads I made on this account, but using the My Threads option on my L account shows 0 results.

The pen pals community won't load. I've tried a few different time points and devices.

Thank you Affy, we had this issue with another community a few days ago which was previously fixed so I went through them all and created a list of broken communities. I've reported this to the tech team so hopefully they'll get resolved fairly quickly!

@mytwistedsoul @MistyMagic - I've also reported your two glitches to the tech team for investigation, if you have any additional comments or anything that you think might help (e.g. additional info or screenies) then please email support@7cups.com or raise a ticket on the help desk.

@LoveMyMoonflowers I'll third it! Thi.s is absolutely ridicu.lous. This whole situation is a me.ss. It seems that anything posted that isn't oozing with posit.ivity gets automatically and permanently minimized. Lovely example of c.ensorship

2 cents... i like the new format for now. Bugs bebuggered. it'll take time but i like just seeing the immediate reply instantly and not have to guess where it is in 2 pages of collapsed replies.

It's clean and organized. 

it doesent squish everything to the right. I like that part a lot.

I say good job and give it time to remove or get used to the bugs. 👍

@Iamwhoiamwhoami hi there ❤️ the app is known for being quite glitchy and a bit unreliable. Perhaps you can use the website on a browser? it's much easier and there are fewer bugs.

Actually the app is the easiest for me . I have some issues with my brain and memories short and long term. I have many moments where I “zone out “ and then I don’t remember where or who I am, and I can fumble my way back to the app on my phone to get back here and then find my writings in my little corner of this place, and that helps trigger me a little back to myself.

A website on a browser is ok , more difficult on a phone. I am currently bedridden and live alone so the phone is my main connection.

Besides during this glitch the phone app has had less issues then the website. ❤️

There’s a a site issue that’s been bothering me for awhile… I’m going to use @Tinywhisper11 as an example hehe (Hi, Tiny!)


When I click on her profile, her latest posts, most recent first, populate. However, when you click on “search more from @Tinywhisper11”, it ALWAYS starts with a post with a pic of her art from 2023. (Which is super colorful and creative btw!) There is no way to sort by date in that section, so I can’t find her most recent posts. Is there a way of fixing this? Thanks! <3

@jesusredeemedme2425 As far as I know, no. I'm not even sure of the sorting method used for the threads. More options to sort threads is something I have asked for

I am probably mistaken but I thought awhile back that there was either a sort feature and/or when the posts listed it listed with most recent towards the “outdated”.

@Iamwhoiamwhoami There are things like most recent or needs reply (old to new) for the forums overall, or the threads of a community. 

When viewing someone's threads or search results these aren't options.


Hopefully that clarifies it well.

@slowdecline48 you mentioned comments disappearing. Were you referring to the permanent minimizing issue which seems to be back again or does it seem like your posts were deleted? I don't think any of your posts were moderated by anyone within the last 24 hours. I'm wondering if there's more bugs.

@AffyAvo It might've been the "minimizing" issue but I'm not for sure. The thing is, each comment appears under the one it's responding to and at the end of the thread itself....it's hard to keep track right now.

I have lost the ability to moderate posts? I cannot delete and I believe I am not alone with this.
Also the new format makes it very hard to find the new posts that we need to read and check to see if they are safe and acceptable or if  they need to be moderated.
