We share love bombs, birthday wishes, shout-outs, cookies, cakes, glitter, and hugs. We come together to celebrate each other because you matter to us. While it can be a good idea to show your appreciation and acknowledgment through such events but please don't feel pressured to host or attend any party. This is just an option for those interested. If your birthday is coming up and you want to throw yourself a party, that is also perfectly okay! We encourage and celebrate self-care and self-love. Last week, we discussed the power of self-care in the Positivity Corner group chat and all participants shared their insights, encouragement, and support to promote the practice of self-care. It is a significant aspect of overall well-being. Many think and there is a misconception that it is about selfishness or indulgence. But, that is untrue. It is more about recognizing the importance of taking care of oneself to lead a more fulfilling and balanced life.  We live in times that often emphasize productivity, goals, and success. But, we also need to understand that taking care of ourselves and each other is the way to live a well-lived life. So as you start your day to begin your journey of productivity and meeting goals, and other needs, do take a moment to do two steps of reflection and ask yourself a question: “What can I do to take care of myself today?” Once you answered the first question, the second question to reflect on, “What can you do to take care of others around you?”  Responding to these questions can help you unlock the awareness of yourself and how self-care is beneficial for you.   So, what does self-care mean to you? How do you practice it Let's discuss and feel free to share your thoughts and experiences on self-care.

I'll go first and rest you can join me in,  The goal which I achieved was simple but just being healthy throughout this year, I always struggled with fitness but now where I'm, I made a lot of improvements and I'm proud of my past self who took the decision of excercising and I'm happy that I did it!

For me it has to be the moment I learned to ride a bicycle and I felt unstoppable!  It was the happiness in those little achievements which one could apply right now as well to just lift themselves up.

This post is special as I want to convey something to my friends. 7 Cups has always been a welcoming space for me. I am so grateful for that. I got the opportunity to meet spammers to amazing fantabulous people. I learned a lot from this beautiful journey as WeEarth. I am a person who always values friendship but doesn't know how to express it. Sometimes I feel confused about what to say or mention in order to maintain a friendship. I tell myself to be myself, which may help me build strong connections. But, sometimes I act weird like too extrovert and introvert. Initially for me, professional talks were more comfortable and easier than having a simple talk with friends. I know that, I find it difficult to express myself in person, but I find online communication more comfortable. My sister is more comfortable meeting in person, perhaps due to our different situations and needs. She tends to be more in the front, while I prefer to work in the backend. Maybe that's why I find 7 cups more friendly. I am literally afraid to talk with friends, but I manage if it's a professional meeting, speech or team communication. I wasn't like this, but over the period of time and situations, I became like this. I am thankful for that path as I learnt so many things and it helped me to have my perspective. My friends if any of my actions or words left you sad or any kind of discomfort, I sincerely apologize and hope I will be able to be myself and continue our friendship. I have got so many amazing awesome friends here and I hope I am very comfortable now talking with friends, much better than before. Thank you everyone for everything, being supportive and with me in my 7 Cups family.

...See more What is your mini mantra? Saying/thinking this every day upon waking can really make great changes in your life. Penumbral thoughts... first thoughts upon waking can make a big impact on the rest of your day. I find putting a sticky note next to the bed with what you wish to say/think/feel can remind you to have a positive affirmation when waking up. And if you don't feel it everyday, that is ok too, all good things take practice.
