@tommy I read a lot but I tend to read Japanese manga when I wait for my bus after work. Currently, I'm reading Komi Can't Communicate which deals with a high school girl who has severe social anxiety. She wants to make a hundred friends but has difficulty speaking people. I'm up to volume seven (have two volumes I have to order because the store sent me duplicates for some reason) and I find it adorable. I have trouble speaking casually to people (most of my past attempts have gone awry) so I can empathize with the main character's concerns and feelings. It also highlights the idiosyncrasies of the other students in the school. I have the two missing volumes ordered plus three more.
Even though I haven't been reading the series for long, it has helped give me a much needed diversion after a long and stressful day at work.

The anime of Komi can't communicate is so good too! I love her, she is such a cute and innocent bean. I support her on her quest to make 100 friends, and I hope tadano and she becomes a couple lol, they are so cute and sweet together 💙
She is really beautiful, the artist did a great job in designing her 😀
@calmmoon2104 I have a lot of anime that I haven't seen. I just can't find the time to sit and watch. I can always find time to read. I'm up to volume 23 now. There was a bundle sale on Crunchyroll so I got volumes 16-27 (although now I have two volume 16) because it was cheaper getting the rest that way than one at a time.
I still have plenty of things to read after I finish these. My biggest issue is shelf space or lack thereof.
@tommy
im currently reading the twisted series by Ana Huang and i would absolutely recommend reading them if you're into the new adult and contemporary romance genre! they're filled with suspense, drama, dark themes, and spice too hehe
@tommy
Hi there!
As of right now, I'm currently reading "Six of Crows" by Leigh Bardugo! It's really cool, I've been enjoying it so far, and would definitely recommend it.
Another handful of books I'd recommend would be the "Tiger's Curse" series by Colleen Houck. It's a series with five books: "Tiger's Curse", "Tiger's Quest", "Tiger's Voyage", "Tiger's Destiny", and "Tiger's Dream". I've really enjoyed this series, despite not reading book 4 and 5. 10/10 fantasy/mild romance, would recommend.

To Kill A Mockingbird. Yes loveeed it when Bob Ewell died. Arthur Radley is a herooo.
@tommy I read "Permission to Speak" by Samara Bay and highly recommend it for someone who wants to embrace the beauty of their voice.
It was not about finding your voice (since everyone has their voice) but about learning to embrace the power, the "weirdness," or the uniqueness in your voice. As a soft-voice person, I get a lot of criticism regarding public speaking, but this book encouraged me a lot.
The Sunbird by Wilbur Smith
and I am loving it

I'm reading 'My Absolute Darling' by Gabriel Tallent. The advance uncorrected proofs. Love to maybe compare notes with someone who has the final version; see what's different.
I just finished The Overnight Guest. It was a great thriller, suspense, true crime kinda book if you’re into that! Currently waiting onto The Silent Patient to become available in my library!
Currently reading LINOTTE THE EARLY DIARY OF ANAIS NIN 1914-1920 I don't know why the entire thing is capitalized. I find it a fascinating piece of literature!
