The last time I exercised was
Hi everyone! I hope you are well. Let's discuss the last time we exercised. Keep in mind that the time may vary based on your current fitness level that can change as per illness, mental or physical.
When was the last time you exercised and what did you do?
I did 30 min/3 miles on the elliptical yesterday at various resistance levels. I was glad to be back exercising. The last 4 months I have been riddled with illness and injuries keeping me off my bike and out of the gym. Its amazing how much you lose going from regular exercise and workouts to none. Now I get to slowly work my way back to the fitness levels I was at.

I need help with staying accountable especially when depression sets in
I can completely relate to being accountable when having a bout of depression. I get the same way. They say that exercise helps that but for me it's hit or miss. I can be down and force myself to bike or workout and sometimes that makes it worse because I'm in my own head the whole time...other times when I'm down amd force myself to workout I feel better afterward....I think accountability to be specific to each individual based on where they at in life at any given time....
I am always open to try to help motivate when it comes to exercising and keeping fit and healthy....i know there are plenty of places people can share their workouts and go for motivation online, but because of the annoniminity of this site, maybe we could start a specific thread for keeping us all accountable and for sharing workout/exercise motivations....just a thought

Yesterday I did pilates. I injured myself last week, so I expected to just do some simple stretches and spend most of the session practicing meditation. But I was able yo do loads more than expected. So pleased with that.
And walked the dogs. They are just the best of exercise motivation.
@Hope I am very ill but I still do some walking. Going out getting the things I need, riding public transit, as well as lifting and carrying keep me somewhat in shape.
@Hope
Ice skating, one hour.

Unless you count walking 1.5 miles.
@PatienceImpatiens IF I could walk 1.5 miles, I'd count that.
Most definitely walking 1.5mi still counts as exercise. Way to go
@Hope I walked a couple km a few days ago, and mowed the lawn on Saturday. Currently, there's some urgent computer work to be done and the weather is ugly - I'd love to escape outside, but can't.
I having been doing Physical Therapy for my legs and knees.
Then last week I went to the wrong place and had to walk 2 miles back to my car.
It was torture... I wanted to give up... but I couldn't stop... and I made it.
Then I drove to the right stadium and saw our team win the soccer match!
It was hard, but I am so glad I didn't give up.
i walk 5-6 miles every single day had a streak of 465 days when i got ill so had to start streak over at about 80 days now.
I went to the gym yesterday for 50min. I did 10min on the treadmill, stretches, band walks for my chondromalacia patella, hanging leg raises modified for chondro to strengthen core, plank, lat pull, and chest press. I intend to do another hour today soon.
