@AnnaSilverberg
Happy holidays to you too!!
@AnnaSilverberg thank you for your kind words, have an amazing Christmas too 😊 To answer your questions:
🌟What is your most favorite moment of this year? taking the leap of faith and going against everyone´s wishes by dropping out of uni despite it meaning changing the course of my future entirely. My life has never been better and I feel like I have progressed in life so much in this few months that i haven´t together for the last few years. I finally feel like i´m getting my life back in my hands instead of just being passively thrown around by it
🌟 What plans or goals have you set for the new year? to continue to grow in the ways i need. That means continuing to work, progressing towards full time employment, working on my finances to invest what i have saved up and make some more through my job, getting my health together, working on getting more indepandence in my family so I stop being treated like a child, visit my bf, start to read the Bible
🌟 Have you appreciated yourself today? Yesssss
🌟 What kind words would you like to bring into the new year? wait, i play a word search every year just for fun to see if my words are accurate in the end. This years words were love, alignment, lessons, breakthrough. They were very true, despite me forgetting about them. Sooo next years words are: connection, change, alignment, lessons. Looks like my lessons are just getting started lol.
attaching down below if someone is into this: The first 4 words you find are supposed to describe your next year. May post it as an activity separately after Christmas tho so we can revisit it next year and see if our words described our year
@BrightIndigo A cozy year ahead 😊 Also, thank you for finding this for me, I was wondering what was my last word but couldn´t find it 😅 You are the best :3
doing new things we've not done before can turn into growth.
I see that you are well on your way when it comes to growing.
I wish you all the wonderful luck, thank you for replying

💞
January is upon us and many of us are still recovering from all the festivities from the holidays.
🤗 And so today, I would like to talk a bit about how self-care is important 🤗
💛
🧐We often see a lot talked about self care, but what really is it?
🌟
💓 Self care is taking care of our most basic needs,
such as food, water, emotional balance and hygiene 💓
🙃 And as simple as that sounds,
those things can feel like they are the most challenging thing ever 🙃
💗 Sometimes it can feel too exhausting to take that shower or brush our teeth 💗
😩 But after we've done those things, we feel like we made a big issue out of nothing
and can feel like we're invalidating our challenges with it 😩
🤗 What you feel, the challenges with self-caring is absolutely valid 🤗
👐 Often we need support with the most simplest things and that's perfectly okay 👐
🌟
💜 I want you to know, dear Smile Spreader that you do deserve the most wonderful things 💜
💕 And that includes validating your self care challenges 💕
🤔 But what can we do to make self care easier?
🤔 What can help us feel more at ease with self caring?
💛 Often setting things into a routine can help,
that includes doing things at the same time 💛
😊 Routines can bring us a whole lot of comfort 😊
🌞 And when we need things to help us feel more emotionally balanced,
then it helps to look for things that give us comfort and positive emotions 🌞
🔸Hobbies are a wonderful way to achieve that, do you have any fun hobbies?🔸
🤗
😛 I would love it if we would do something different this month. 😛
If you feel comfortable, post your replies here below to those questions:
💙 What is your most favorite way to self care?

💕 Please tag a fellow Smile Spreader in the comments and give them a message,

Aww thank you Anna! This looks soo soo pretty!💖
I'm glad you like it!
You deserve to be appreciated 💚
✨💙✨
✨
@AnnaSilverberg
💙 What is your most favorite way to self care? I love a good hot bubble bath!
💙 What is your favorite hobby? Diamond paintings and horseback riding
💙 What do you do when you feel like self caring is a challenge? The more of a challenge it is the more necessary it is for me to do something good for myself usually. Sometimes a nap is all it takes to turn around my challenges.
It sounds like you've got some amazing self care ways,
your hobbies are absolutely wonderful! 💙
I can also imagine how helpful it is to nap, I'm glad you can take naps!
✨💙✨
✨
And last but not least, of course imma answer these questions! So fun!
1) What is your most favorite way to self care?
I've shared this thought around quite a bit in LSR (especially lately) but I absolutely love to take myself out on "me-dates". Just doing anything I would normally do with other people but alone! Going out to eat, going out for a movie, going to operas, theatre, etc.
Psst! I also love to make errands fun for myself this way. I always convince myself it's a me-date because i barely go out to begin with, so it helps me a lot!
2) What is your favorite hobby?
I'm fairly sure a lot of people I know here on cups know I love to sing. Maybe one day around I'll share recordings or something. So, yeah, singing - by far my favorite!
3) What do you do when you feel like self caring is a challenge?
Whenever self care tends to be a challenge for me, it's usually because I'm going too fast, feel like I have no time, etc - so reducing responsibilities is one way to ensure I get time for myself. Reaching out to close ones, maybe even see them and so on is also a very important part of my self care routine, because I cannot do anything without my support system. :)
@AnnaSilverberg
what a lovely post! Thank you Anna! 🥺💕
@AnnaSilverberg
Thank you Anna 😍💖😊May you keep flourishing and spreading positivity wherever you go🌟
@AnnaSilverberg
💙 What is your most favorite way to self care?
i love to switch things up according to my present needs. Sometimes, I need an active one like exercise, a walk or a stretch. Other times, I need a creative and mentally stimulating thing, like reading or getting creative, or challenging myself with a project of my choice. Then there is some social selfcare, when I need to connect with someone, go out with a friend, talk to my family or go to therapy. Health related selfcare is it´s own cathegory, like making medical appointments, visiting the doctor, taking my meds or making sure i´m adressing a health issue or pain I have. Last but not least, sometimes I just need to erase my brain, when I opt for a low effort, high chill activity like watching a movie or playing some games. My selfcare type varies usually on what did i do a lot of lately, and then do the opposing one as a way to relax.
💙 What is your favorite hobby?
Oh I have a lot. I love to play games, read, draw, sew, paint, cross-stitch, do DIY projects, cook, bake, journal, write stories or do digital graphic... I also love learning about new things by going to an exhibition, watching a documentary, learning a new skill, doing some research or just talk to someone who is interested in it.
💙 What do you do when you feel like self caring is a challenge?
I have a golden rule of what won´t hurt me in the moment. It is usually a basic thing like drinking water. Eating something. Taking a walk. Looking out the window. Anything that is low effort but won´t end up hurting me. These things often make me feel much better about myself, and food and drink as an evergreen on my list even give me a boost of energy to usually get myself to do what i need. Also, if nothing works and my selfcare seems to be suspiciously a lot of screen time and time in bed, i just yeet myself out of the bed and force myself to do things, because i know that as much as being in bed is nice, if i overdo it, I become a sad and demotivated little blob but this can be broken by gathering enough willpower to get out and do something
@AnnaSilverberg That was such a warm welcome Anna :) I'm happy to be a part of this team! <3
@AnnaSilverberg Hi Anna, thanks for keeping the team loved by you through these warm and delightful posts every month!
@AnnaSilverberg
Awww thank you for this beautiful post, Anna, love the pretty graphics and your super thoughtful, compassionate and encouraging reminders for self-care. So so important indeed and everyone can use a lil nudge to keep at it hehe.🤗💖
💙 What is your most favorite way to self care?
Spending time by myself/ Taking my me-time hehe!
💙 What is your favorite hobby?
Does sleeping count?!😭😴
💙 What do you do when you feel like self caring is a challenge?
I try not to force it or make it a big deal/ be fussy about it. Sometimes you need to simply go with the flow (even if you're not sure where it's flowing lol), and breathe through the moment(s). All that, or just go lay down on bed hehe.
💎 And lastly! 💎
