What is the one thing you do to help yourself feel better when you're experiencing depression? It can be anything at all, even simple things such as a longer warmer shower and listening to music or sounds of nature before bed.

I take a drive. Sometimes somewhere specific, other times just aimlessly. I like to roll the windows down and turn the music up. Normally something with heavy bass, feeling the beat always puts me into a relaxed mood.

battle internally about telling my friends even though i know they suck at listening/understanding what i need but feeling bad for thinking that way when they try their best to help but also not wanting to be the person who brings bad traumatizing news all the time but also realizing bottling things up is not good

and then just accepting im a huge fucking mess lmao

I baby myself. I try to think gentle things, and do nice things for myself one small step at a time. I let myself lean on my supports. I remind myself that Ill forgive myself for anything that doesnt get done.
