The One Thing I Do When I'm Depressed is...
What is the one thing you do to help yourself feel better when you're experiencing depression? It can be anything at all, even simple things such as a longer warmer shower and listening to music or sounds of nature before bed.
When I was really depressed I lost interest in the things I used to like... And felt hopeless and it was hard to begin to do things.
When I'm depressed I have a few different approaches. I have a tendency to avoid my feelings, so I have been trying to first acknowledge how I'm feeling and then I might take a nap or go to bed early, take a bath, or get out of the house!
I cry a lot, sleep, feel worthless then get angry, take baths.
Watching television 😩
Listening to music
Walking
Play video games...a lot...watch soccer and watch sports shows...I think the ambience helps and drowns out the bad stuff...
I try to meet up with friends, or listen to music.
I try to busy myslelf so that I won't fall into my thoughts, but sometimes that doesn't work and i fall deep down into the rabbits hole
I usually watch a sad movie to cry in a more healthy way than putting myself down enough to let myself cry. Either that or I take a nap. Or I try to figure out what's making me feel this way so that I can stop.
