Affirmations are short, generally positive, statements or phrases that can help challenge negative or challenging thoughts. Affirmations work by leading to long-term changes in the way we think and feel, and so many people find them helpful.

While there may be many affirmations you can look up on the internet for several topics, writing your own affirmation for yourself, generally or for a specific challenge, can be powerful on its own.

Do you have an affirmation that helps you? Please share it in this thread so that we can collect our favorite/most useful affirmations.

That one is so good.

Proverbs 11:17 The merciful man doeth good to his own soul: but he that is cruel troubleth his own flesh.

We have to be kind to ourselves, but strict at the same time, if something is bothering us, handle situation and obstacle, don’t except defeat and discourage yourself, use your brain and understand that it can be resolved.

We also must gravitate towards positive reinforcement, a string is weak on its own, but when braided, it becomes strong. We are built for social concord, a sorrow shared is half a sorrow, a joy shared is a double joy.

You said, a sorrow shared is half a sorrow, a joy shared is a double joy."

I just love that!!

I still struggle with reading the Bible due to being stuck in a cult that put their own strange twist on it. But I do love proverbs, and many Psalms. Thank you for sharing.

All the way, yeah don’t get caught up in others ways, have your own consensus of what is said to you and how you feel about it. Many prophets had even brothers that had the same instructions, and did the opposite, parables of the two sons from Jesus.

So as long as you’re upholding what scripture is telling…you. Than you should be okay. For the african proverb says if there is no enemy within, the enemy outside can do you no harm.

Evil is no match for Good— but Good must be active.” “TO HAVE MORE THAN YOU'VE GOT, BECOME MORE THAN YOU ARE.”

It never hurts to do some self-affirmations every now and then. :)

@SynSavoryi disagree, it shouldn’t be once in a while, but everyday.

Consistent, insistent, and persistent.

When you talk about it it’s a dream

When you plan it, it becomes a vision

When you schedule it, it becomes reality.

one affirmation that always helps me to think is "you get out of something what you put into it."

this means that, you reap what you sow, so doing good definitely gives and gets you good things!
