At Member Group Support Chats, our primary goal is to foster an environment that encourages open dialogue, the sharing of experiences, and the cultivation of meaningful connections. We understand that each person's journey is unique, and we embrace the diversity of perspectives and backgrounds within our community. Whether one is seeking support, inspiration, or simply a safe space to express yourself, group support chats are their place.
Member Group Chat Leadership puts efforts into serving to ensure one has a comforting space in the group chats. We believe that leadership is a mindset and a way of approaching challenges and opportunities. It is about taking ownership, inspiring others, and making a positive impact. We understand the importance of leadership development and strive to provide our members with a supportive environment where they can grow and support each other

Sharing Circle Host
Room Supporter
It focuses on providing quality listening and support to community members in the group chat rooms. Room Supporters foster healthy and supportive conversations in the chat rooms to ensure everyone entering the room feels welcomed, empathized, validated, comfortable, and included in the group. This role is suited for both members and listeners because our members are also amazing and supportive listeners in the chat rooms to provide support to each other.
Requirements to become a room supporter
A. For a LISTENER, Check your profile to make sure you meet the following requirements:
- No “Newbie” badge i.e. being a listener for 4+ weeks
- Have 2+ Group Support Chats**

Chatroom Moderator
The role of a Moderator is a Group Support leadership role that is essential for supportive community-building. Moderators ensure that chat rooms remain safe, inclusive, kind, and supportive for all participants. Moderators facilitate productive communication and foster a healthy environment that is necessary for emotional support.
Requirements to fulfill
Group Support Mentor / Teen Star
This role would involve mentoring and guidance through specific areas to support the room supporters, and chatroom moderators and ensure overall quality and support in the group chats. Under this role, we are offering two key tracks:
Track I): Building & leading the support teams. It focuses on being involved in one specific community of your choice and overseeing the group discussions and team building.
Track II) Help and support the Quality aspects of the Group Chats. It focuses on generally, supporting all group chat leaders regardless of what community they are part of. It has further categories:
- Buddying new Room Supporters, Mods, and other group leaders
- Leading Skills discussions to empower group chat leaders
- Community meetings & feedback
- Managing general group support resources (including scripts)
- Welcoming and recruiting new group support leaders
Criteria to become Group Support Mentor/ Teen Star
- At least 8+ weeks as a moderator (Community-Centered or Global)
- 10+ Positive Member Reviews
- 30+ help guides completed
- 75+ Group Chats (For Teens, it is 50+ Group Chats)
Note: All Group Support Mentors/Teen Stars will be required to complete Global Mod training within 2 weeks of receiving the badge (if not already completed).
Group Support Mentor Leader
As a Group Support Mentor Leader, you will be responsible for mentoring and leading a team working on a specific sub-project. Your primary responsibility will be to ensure that all members of the team are providing high-quality support and guidance to the members of our community. You will be expected to set an example for your team, providing them with guidance, support, and feedback to help them grow as leaders and make a positive impact on the community.
Group Support Ambassador
As a Group Support Ambassador, you will play a vital role in fostering a supportive community for our members and listeners in the member group chats. Your primary responsibility will be to provide guidance and support to Mentor leaders to ensure that they have access to the resources and tools they need to achieve the group support project goals.
Responsibilities
- Act as a mentor and guide community members who are new to 7 Cups
- Help members navigate our platform and find the resources and tools they need to achieve their goals
- Foster a positive and supportive environment within our community by promoting our values and principles
- Work closely with other members of our team to identify areas where we can improve our services and support
Expectations
- Excellent communication skills and the ability to connect with people from diverse backgrounds
- A passion for helping others and a strong desire to make a positive impact on the world
- Experience in a leadership or mentoring role, preferably in a community setting
- A deep understanding of the challenges and issues faced by people who are seeking emotional support and guidance
