Care Team
The Care Team is a very special project that was created in August 2020 to reach out to our Listeners to offer them extra support. This team is here to check up on listeners with resources and friendly support. Those of you who visit the Listener Support chatroom (LSR) or Teen Listener Support Room will know that many listeners come to the room and reach out for support which is given either in the room or by PM. Often these are listeners that are feeling lost and confused and sometimes are overwhelmed. The Chat Support mentors and Peer Supports provide help to all these listeners in those initial moments. The Care Team is there to reach out later and offer a friendly check-in. If you are a new listener you can nominate yourself or new listeners for a care request here.

Listener Verifier Team
Listener Coaching Team (any mentor track)
The Listener Coaching Team is a team of volunteer listeners passionate about quality. They help listeners build listening skills and learn how to use the site so that listeners can feel more confident taking chats and gaining the skills needed for their listener journey. This is short-term coaching, but listeners can request a long-term mentor as well.
Anonymous Evaluations (any mentor track)
The Anonymous Evaluations team plays an important role in ensuring that 7 Cups provides a safe and supportive environment for users to receive mental health support. As a member of the team, you will be responsible for evaluating listeners’ skills and providing feedback to listeners to help them improve their skills and provide better support to members.
Active Listening Grading (any mentor track)
Quality Mentor
A Quality Mentor helps listeners with questions and guides listeners needing help to resources that will help them become better listeners! There is basic quality mentoring (short term), or in-depth, called mentorship. In-depth mentorship can look like several different things. You can work together through mock chats to help improve their listening skills with certain topics. You can give your mentee resources on certain active listening skills they would like to work on, and certain chat topics they want to improve in. You can discuss difficult chats they've had and how they can improve their skills for the next time they encounter a topic they need help with. They also might have questions about the site, getting involved, or badges. You are their resource for building better active listening skills. Quality Mentors also participate in a quality project on the site that helps improve quality in the overall community.
Quality Mentor Leader
The Quality Mentor Leader works closely with the Quality team to develop and implement quality improvement initiatives and provides guidance and support to Quality Mentors as they work with listeners to improve their active listening skills through different projects. They collaborate with other teams on the platform to ensure that quality improvement efforts are aligned with overall community goals.
Quality Ambassador
The Quality Ambassador is a member of the 7 Cups team who is dedicated to ensuring that the community provides high-quality mental health support to users. As an ambassador, you will work closely with other members of the Quality team to identify areas for improvement and implement strategies to enhance the overall quality of the project.
Responsibilities
- Promote a culture of quality and continuous improvement throughout the 7 Cups community.
- Work with the Quality team to develop and implement quality improvement initiatives.
- Collaborate with other teams on the platform to ensure that quality improvement efforts are aligned with overall community goals.
- Help to identify and address quality issues that arise on the platform.
- Serve as a resource for listeners and members who have questions or concerns about quality issues.
