Academy
The 7 Cups Academy is a tuition-free institution that trains members, listeners, and researchers to develop skills and better care for our community.
The document includes information and application links for those who are interested in becoming a Project Agent, Academy Mentor, Academy Mentor Leader, or Academy Ambassador. These roles provide an opportunity for individuals to take an active role in the 7 Cups Academy Leadership and gain valuable experience while helping others.
Project Agents
Project Agents are leaders who work with the Academy Leadership team to help develop, maintain, and improve the Academy courses and resources. This role requires a 1-2 hour weekly commitment and maintaining a 48-hour response time.
Who can apply?
○ All Verified Listeners are welcome to apply
○ Members can apply if they are an Academy Trainee (after completing the two-week trial) or an Academy Graduate
You will be working with the Academy Leadership team (Hope, Ambassadors, Mentor Leaders, Mentors, and other Project Agents)The role requires 1-2 hours of commitment weekly and maintaining a 48-hour response time.
Academy Mentor
Academy Mentors are responsible for guiding trainees through our Academy programs, providing them with support and feedback as they work to develop their skills and better care for our community. This is an excellent opportunity for individuals who are passionate about helping others and want to play an active role in the 7 Cups community.

Additional requirements program-specific
1. Quality Listening Program
- 100+ 1-1 chats
- Been a listener for at least 3 months
- Priority will be given to QLP Graduates
2. Leadership Development Program
- Been a listener for at least 3 months
- It is preferred that you are an ATL but not needed
- Able to work on and communicate with a team
- Able to commit at least 3 hours a week
- Priority will be given to LDP Graduates
3. Group Support Program
- Thorough understanding of the group support chatrooms
- Able to commit at least 3 hours a week
- Priority will be given to GLDD Graduates
4. Internship Program
- 3+ months as a listener
- 150+ chats with member/guests
- Sparkler and Tiny Chat badges (obtained by completing 20 member and 20 listener group chats)
- Should be able to maintain a response time of within 3 days unless on informed break.
- Should be able to give the track at least 2 months after acceptance before taking any major breaks.
- Priority will be given to Internship Program Graduates
5. Content Development and Marketing Program
- Questions in the application form
- 3+ months as a listener
- Priority will be given to CDM Program Graduates
Academy Mentor Leader
Academy Mentor Leaders are responsible for leading and guiding Academy Mentors in their role of guiding trainees through the Academy programs. They provide support, feedback, and training to ensure that Academy Mentors are equipped with the necessary skills to help trainees better care for our community.
Academy Ambassador
The Academy Ambassador is a volunteer role that reports to the Academy Leadership team. Academy Ambassadors are responsible for promoting the 7 Cups Academy programs and resources to listeners and members. They are also responsible for recruiting potential applicants and helping them through the application process. Academy Ambassadors play an important role in the 7 Cups community by helping to ensure that the Academy is effectively serving the needs of our community.
As an Academy Ambassador, you will have the opportunity to gain valuable leadership and communication skills while making a positive impact on the 7 Cups community.
