Welcome to 7Cups Of Tea! I am a Verified Listener and I am glad you are here! Feel free to text me whenever you want and I will do my best to reply to you as soon as possible! Alternatively, you can browse available listeners (and narrow down by filters) here or you can connect randomly by starting a new chat.

I can support and listen to you, I can empathize with what you are going through! Sometimes life can be really hard and some days are just rough. Sometimes you feel like crying before you can move forward and I just want to let you know that all of that is okay and I am here for you.

I am willing to guide you and my door is always open to anyone who wants to talk to me. I am comfortable discussing most of the topics. I am very glad and proud of everyone who joined this wonderful community. Talking about ourselves to a stranger is not that easy. I usually take chats for one hour or more, but we can set up a time and date to talk regularly. As a listener, my first and foremost priority will be listening to you with all my ears without any judgments.

I am a Group Support Mentor Leader for the Member Chatrooms so if you have any questions or concerns about the member rooms please feel free to contact me.

I am a member of the 'Verified Listener Team' Feel free to message me if you want to get verified, I would love to schedule a mock chat with you! (Listeners Only)

Please don't feel bad if people remember you only when they need you... Feel privileged that you are like a candle that comes to their mind when there is darkness"

Self-Care: You Need To Be Able To Take Breaks as a Room Supporter/Moderator
Group Support / by ASilentBunny

...See more Being a Moderator & Room Supporter can be incredibly rewarding and I truly admire their hard job! Keeping the chatrooms a safe place for everyone is not an easy job. Our team works every day so hard being there for the users and moderating the rooms! I will never be able to thank them enough for what they are achieving within our wonderful community! Even tho being a Moderator or a Room Supporter can be really rewarding, sometimes it can be really stressful and tiring. From my personal experience, it’s not always easy participating in the rooms, welcoming everyone who joins while ensuring I haven’t skipped someone, encouraging members to engage in the conversation, maintaining a supportive and safe environment in the room and making sure that every single participant feels supported and comfortable. There will be times when the pressure gets too much and you might feel you need a break and that’s perfectly okay! In fact, it’s essential to take a self-care break every now and then! If you burn out you won’t be able to do your job properly and that’s not good for you and the community! Yourself should always be your first priority and if you want to do well in your role, you also need to ensure that you are taking good care of yourself. So, if you ever feel like you are in over your head, please don’t be afraid to take a self-care break and recover from burnout! We will definitely understand the reasons you need a break and we will all be here waiting for you to come back stronger and even more motivated! You are the reason the group chats are safe and we have so many users participating in the rooms every day! Volunteers like you are what make 7cups a supportive and fabulous place to be! I understand that many of you have your own lives, families, jobs, school, responsibilities and many more and I can’t express how grateful I am to see you on this platform dedicating your time to making our chatrooms a better place for everyone! We are so thankful to have you in our team and we acknowledge the hard job you are putting in order to maintain a supportive and friendly environment in the group chats! However, if you feel like you are burning out, exhausting yourself, feeling pressured or you simply feel you want to take time to focus on yourself and/or other responsibilities, then it’s time for you to take a wonderful self-care break! We truly want you to be here and be part of our team, but at the same time, we want you to enjoy your role and your time while moderating the rooms! As leaders, we are always by your side and if you ever need anything our chats are always open to you! If you ever need someone to talk to about your role or your duties as room supporter or moderator, please don’t hesitate to text me! I will be more than willing to listen to you and find a balance between your role here in 7cups and in your life outside! If you ever feel you need a break, I am rooting for you! You truly deserve that break because you are working so hard! Note: Before taking a self-care break please inform one of the Leaders (ASilentObserver, Lou73, ASilentBunny) so we can be aware of your break, update your status, reassign you the badge and wait for you to come back patiently and support you!

Mods & Room Supporters Updates February 2023
Group Support / by ASilentBunny
Last post
February 10th, 2023
...See more Hello everyone, I hope you are doing well! The Group Support Leaders wanted to update you all with some of the changes we have made within the team and the latest updates. Activity: One of our goals as a team is to ensure that we engage within the chatrooms in order to create an enjoyable environment and keep it safe so everyone can feel comfortable participating. In order to achieve that, we need to be active in the chatrooms. By being active, you can create a strong relationship with the members, meet some amazing new users, welcome them and motivate them to engage or even collaborate with other fellow team members. Apart from that, you will understand how we can make the chatrooms a better place for both members & listeners and what updates they would like to see within the rooms. Monthly Quota: As for now, in order to keep the role, you have to send 100 messages in the group chats you have selected to be as a Room Supporter/ Mod. We do believe this is something achievable as we all have a full month in order to send the messages and keep the badge. Please keep in mind that failing to meet the quota will result in losing the badge. If you are thinking of taking a self-care break, please make sure you let the Leaders know so we can update your status and reassign you the badge in case it’s lost. If anyone feels this is something not achievable, feel free to message me so we can talk about it and find an agreement, because we want to make sure that you guys have plenty of time to meet the quota and balance your personal life and the roles you have within 7cups. Team 2023 Since we have a huge team of Room Supporters & Mods it’s really hard for us to private message each one of you in order to figure out who is active, who is on self-care and who is simply inactive. So, I have made a new page on the Dashboard where we will all be able to see the team members, their roles and their status. This won’t only help us to have a clear number of the people within the team and their activity, but it will also be a good way to have a better knowledge of the team members and get to know each other since you will be collaborating with them. I would highly appreciate it if you could go to the Dashboard, click on the “Team 2023” page and add your name and status. You don’t have to fill in the rest, but please make sure to add your name and status. This will give us a better perspective of the activity within the team and the number. Getting to know each other session: I know this is something I also talked about in my previous post, but I would like to update you again since many of you were really interested. Unfortunately, I will have to postpone the session for now. That’s because I would like to have a better idea of the clear number of team members and their activity in order to start planning it. However, soon I will update you more on that! I truly can’t wait to get to know you guys more and you meeting your fellow team members! Nevertheless, for now, we have the “Team Hangout’ page on Dashboard where you can communicate with each other. Updates on the Dashboard: I have updated the Resources page where you can find really important links that can be really helpful throughout your journey as Room Supporters/Mods. I am still removing and adding new ones every now and then because they get updated every once in a while. If there are any specific links you would like me to add there, feel free to let me know! I have also added new Scenarios & Protocols to Handle Situations for Room Supporters. If you just became a Room Supporter or Mod I would highly recommend you to read the Scenarios & Protocols to Handle Situations as you can feel more prepared and learn some new tips. We do try to find ways so there can be better communication between the team members and we are still working on that. For now, however, we have a ‘Team Hangout’ Page where you can write whatever is on your mind/questions/tips/motivating each other etc. You can also respond to other comments so there can be some interaction between us, where we can all communicate! A very important page has also been added to the Dashboard. On the ‘Message Board’ page, you can find some helpful messages that you can send depending on the situation. For instance, when it comes to sending verbal warnings or what to say when there is a difficult situation. I hope you can find them helpful, I will still keep updating them and adding more stuff, but let me know if you need anything else. For now, I am working on a new page called ‘Emergecies’ where Room Supporters & Mods will write down some tough situations that took place in the rooms in order to get advice, ask questions about how to handle a specific situation, discuss a tough situation and reflecting on it in order to understand what could have been done differently so we can all improve and generally this will help other Room Supporters & Mods to be aware of those situations or of specific users who are often trying to cause trouble, so they can be aware when they enter the rooms and how to act in case of an emergency. More information will be provided in the following updates since this is still something that needs to be worked on, but I am open to any feedback! Quiz: I am so happy to see the results of the quizzes our Room Supporters & Mods took! I am glad to see that you are aware of your role as a Room Supporter/Mod and the responsibilities you have! It’s great to see that our Room Supporters & Mods can face any challenging situation within the rooms while keeping a professional and respectful attitude towards all members and maintaining a safe environment in the room, while also acting successfully on the issue. Soon, I will post the new quiz in order to see the progress and maybe a few areas that we can help you to improve on! If you have any questions regarding the quizzes, please don’t hesitate to ask! Become a Mod Mentor Every week our little family is growing and we have new amazing additions to our team! Since there are a lot of new Room Supporters & Mods, I have decided to give the opportunity to Mods who are experienced with the role to become a Mods/Room Supporter’s Mentor! You will be helping new Room Supporters or Mods to get accustomed and used to their new role! If you are interested, you can apply here [https://forms.gle/yuTEUb8UXZStBYGeA]! Sharing Circle: As you might already know, our wonderful Leader @Lou73 is working really hard on updating the Sharing Circle Room! Lou has created a new Sharing Circle Host Basic Training! If you are interested to host members' Sharing Circle Session, you will have to complete a short training before you can host a session! You can find the application form here (link). For any questions you might have, please message @Lou73 (Adults) or @ASilentObserver (teens). Our amazing Leader, Lou, is also launching a new buddy scheme for the Sharing Circles! If you are a Group Support Moderator, you can team up with an assigned host to keep the chatrooms a safe place and ensure that members can share their thoughts and feelings in a supportive space! This will be a great opportunity to engage more in the chatrooms, meet new members and also get to know them! Your role will be really important as you will have to team up with the host and be responsible to keep the chatrooms safe and interruptions to a minimum, so members can share in a supportive space. Thank you so much for all the support you have given to the team, and we are super excited to keep you updated about future plans and goals. We would love to say a huge thank you to all Room Supporters & Mods for making this team so amazing and keeping the chatrooms a safe and enjoyable place for everyone! If you have any questions or would like to inquire further about these updates, please feel free to reach out to me and I would be more than willing to talk to you!
Quiz Time!

...See more Hello everyone! I hope you are all doing well! As you may already know, a few weeks ago I made a post about the new updates. One of the recent updates is that all Mods and Room Supporters are required to take a quiz every month! One of our goals is to ensure that all Room Supporters & Mods are comfortable with their role and are aware of what is expected of them! We do believe a Quiz will definitely help us to see if there are areas that you can improve and how we can personally help you to develop as a leader and in your role as a Mod/Room Supporter! Mods & Room Supporters are responsible for keeping the chatrooms a safe and pleasant place for everyone! That means you must have a great and in-depth knowledge of the rules - as you are expected to be the ones enforcing them on the participants, but you must also be able to handle different and difficult cases. We understand that all Mods & Room Supporters have different techniques when it comes to moderating the rooms and handling those cases. That’s why the Quiz will give you the opportunity to show us how YOU would personally handle those scenarios! We understand that a Quiz can make some of us stressed, worried and wondering what will happen if we don’t do well. Well, the Quiz is made in order for you to refresh your knowledge and for us to see how we can best support and help you to develop. Once you finish the quiz, we will give you feedback on how you did which will include helpful links and tips. There might be a chance that you will have to go through extra training, but that’s not something you should be worried about. Once again, we would like to thank you for helping us keep the chatrooms safe! We understand that being a Mod & Room Supporter can be sometimes hard, but we are here for you and we are more than willing to help you! The Quiz can be found on the dashboard. I will personally try messaging each one of you and providing the link, but I think it’s much better and easier to find the link in the dashboard. If you have any questions feel free to message me. If you don't have access to the dashboard please let me know. The Quiz can be found in the dashboard. The Deadline is in 3 weeks, so please make sure you take it as soon as possible.
Mods & Room Supporters Updates September 2022

...See more Hello everyone! I hope y’all are doing well today! So, we have a lot to talk about today, so please grab a hot cup of tea, sit back and relax! Firstly, as you already might know we have a new Room Supporter / Moderator Team Dashboard, woohoo! It’s still new, so ASilentObserver and I are still working on it! If you have any suggestions, feel free to message me, we will be glad to hear them! One of our first goals is to ensure that our team, both Mods and Room Supporters, are active and ready to engage in the chatrooms, keeping them safe and creating an enjoyable environment for everyone. Since, it will be hard for us to private message each one of you and figure out who is active and who is not, we would highly appreciate it if you could go to the dashboard > Team and in the status section please add if you are active/self-care/inactive. I will try to contact each one of you to see how you are doing and if you are currently active or not. On the Resources section you can find helpful links, please take a moment to take a look at the links maybe you will find some helpful links (If you have any link that you find that should be added to the list, feel free to message me) Next section is ‘Tips’ if you are a new Room Supporter or a Mod, then we strongly encourage you to take a look at this section since you can find some tips that can help you throughout your journey! Of course if you need anything we are always here to support and assist you! One of the most important sections in the dashboard is ‘Scenarios & Protocols to Handle Situations.’ Please dedicate a little bit of your time to read this section and go through each scenario and see how you would personally handle the situation. Of course, we understand that we all have different techniques and methods when it comes to moderating the rooms, but we do believe this section can help you a lot to get an idea of what is expected of you. It has different scenarios and how to handle some really important cases that can be kinda tricky! The dashboard can be found here [https://docs.google.com/spreadsheets/d/1ZawjAlDmqeRBAXboSVmRD2b761gLG5uERYd5AZtmcas/edit#gid=2090044495], please take your time to go through the dashboard and for any questions don’t hesitate to ask! We will be more than willing to help you! Secondly, from now on we will check in with all Room Supporters and Moderators. For new Mods and Room Supporters I will do weekly check-ins to ensure that they are comfortable with their new role, all of their questions are answered and that they are capable of moderating the rooms. We will do monthly check-ins with old Room Supporters and Mods to see what they are doing, if they have concerns and encourage and appreciate them for their help and support. If you feel you need more check-ins that’s totally fine too, just let me know. Also, all Mods and Room Supporters will be required to take a Quiz in order to refresh their memory every month. This is nothing to worry about tho! We just want to make sure that you have understood everything, you are familiar with the chat room rules and you are able to handle different situations. Depending on your score, we will send you feedback letting you know how you did and help you improve! The feedback will be focused on areas that you can improve in order to be able to help even more effectively in the chatrooms! We all have areas to improve, so don’t worry! Finally, we are planning to host a party in order to get to know each other. How exciting!! This will probably happen around October, but I will make another post about it letting you know more about it and the dates. We will be really glad and happy to see y’all there! This will be a perfect opportunity to get to know each other since many of you will be collaborating together and it will be a way to bring the members of our team closer to each other! That’s all for today! We highly appreciate the hard job you are doing and we are always by your side! From my personal experience I understand it’s not always easy moderating the rooms and if you ever need someone to talk to I am always a message away! Also, don’t hesitate to talk to our Peer Supporters too, they are amazing! Once again, thank you for keeping the chatrooms a safe place for everyone and we truly hope we will see you at the party we will host!
