Member Oath

As a member of the 7 Cups community, I am here for a variety of specific reasons. But one thing we all have in common is our love of the 7 Cups community. Our community is a safe haven, a place to find connection, compassion, love, and support.

Our community is only as strong as it's members. I agree to these community guidelines and interact in ways that reflect these guidelines and the 7 Cups values.

Today, I would like to take ownership of my home here. To show my commitment, I take the 7 Cups member oath. By completing this oath, I am promising to show kindness and support to all those you interact with here. It could be in the forums, with a listener in a 1-1 chat or in the group support chat rooms.

I am also taking an oath. I mahy not always be or have the perfect reaction, but all in all, I believe I have tried hard to both support and be supported in ways that are constructive, or that at the very least did not create additional or unnecessary drama or chaos the community, or at least I tried. I know none of us are perfect so we can only try to do our best

I emphasize the phrase 'everyone is human' because i know its comomnly confused with 'everyone's just human'. Thats becasue human isnt bad, so i promise to be the better one.

Why exactly are you removing key functionalities on this website until you copy paste some stuff on a forum somewhere? This feels like just a way of inconveniencing actual users on the website and not doing anything to slow down people who troll on it, or use it as just a regular chatroom

How about we fix the group chatrooms for actual support, re-establish the chat for people who don't have any issues with self image or socialising, and add chatrooms that provide support for people that really need it? Like for those under the spectrum, or for non native English speakers, instead of just "Come here for being over 40, here for anxiety that nobody is in, and here for everything else"? This is surely more important than making people type empty words for no good reason
