What book or talk has helped you?
Hello! We will be reaching out to people to see if they'd like to create a growth path playlist on 7 Cups. These can be authors, experts, or influencers. People that are well known and people not so well known, but have something helpful to say. Any and all are welcome! If a book, movie, or TED talk helped you, then please share here so we can figure out the best way to incorporate their work on 7 Cups. Links to talks or books would also be helpful. Thank you!

Not a book, but recently a song by BeyoncΓ© called Bigger is just such a glorious song that reminded me of my worth and purpose on this earth. It is just really powerful.
I would say Bounce by Matthew Syed helped me. And Malcolm Gladwell's Outliers also inspired me.
This is not some video or book but my Life experience I guess. When I was in high school I went to a Sikh school that means maximum teachers and students there were Sikhs. Which was really cool I wasn't a Sikh and I came to learn a lot about a religion other than mine.
ββββββOur Principal also a Sikh was a tall, well dressed middle age sikh man. He looked really strict and everyone was so so scared of him. He never really talked much. Even on events he would say 1-2lines and walk away.
On my last day of high school I was kindoff anxious if I would ever score high enough to be a valedictorian (A topper ) so I was just standing lol he walks to me and says..So all excited for exams? I was like NO SIR and he looked at me and then I got scared and said Yes sir ! Lol Then he turns to me and smiles ( that was the first time I saw him smile) and says ..always remember "Himmat krne walo ki kabhi har nai hoti" : Which means "If you are Determined to do something , you will never lose ever"
that I think stuck with me. Now I try to do everything with determination and courage.

Not really a philosophy book but one book that helped me when I needed to escape reality was the Percy Jackson series, or any Rick Riordan book for that matter.
@probablycomitingtaxfraud I really want to look into Percy Jackson --I started the series a few years ago but wasn't ever able to obtain books further than the first one :)
@charmingdeer909
Man that sucks, its a really good series though and I really suggest reading it when you have the chance, there are also a bunch of books that take place after it that are really cool too :)
