3 Key Things!

GlenM November 18th, 2019

Please post here 3 key things you have done to help move 7 Cups forward. I will be doing this on a daily basis. Feel free to do it daily, weekly, or monthly. Right now we've got thousands of people doing a lot of work on the site, but we don't have a clear way of being able to support one another. The goal of this thread is to help all of us see all the good work that is going on. Please ask any questions or share thoughts!

1) So far I have supported 55 people through 1-on-1 chats. I have provided ongoing support to 6 of those people. I really feel that I have been able to make a difference to at least 17 of those I have listened to.

2) I have worked on improving my active listening skills further through training, certification and rewards.

3) As it is important to remember to look after yourself, I have begun to seek help when I need it. With better wellbeing, I feel like I can provide better support to others.

In good time, things shall pass, coming hear to cope with all, it's probably best to say that, their are a few who do care . Sounds like you need time away from your husband to grow and think on many things ma'am.

One thing i've notice with all, they either can't let go or can't move on or won't do thing's because of fear that they may be stuck in a very bad chapter of their life .

This is when you remain calm and stead," but you need to find your outlets and healthy ones too surpass all the messed up things going on around you .

Seeking solutions resolves or counseling," making new friends and meeting other's that may get along with you a great deal better is one idea and if it's assuming only from what I've read ma'am maybe try making your husband realize what he's lost and losing and remind him how to treat you with proper decency if your truly unhappy with him," best to say,"" seek out the reasons why ? ! Then confront him on them and address them with him and be genuine & serious ! Delicate but stiff ! But don't ever give up ! If at worst find / create options and leave then go to whete you planned best for your own future and the future of your children if they are old enough to tend to themselves then they will be okay if not keep them with you and try to just live your life with a happier environment full love & happiness that influences positivity of negativity in your lifes and try to remember I'm just a stranger !

Sincerely,"

Taka~

Well my wonderful little vegetable friend, I finally applied for peer supporter! smiley Many have encouraged me to reach for a variety of roles, and I've been kind of slow moving, and we even have a little nickname for me about that one around here. Just one of my many fun nicknames around here Is "Goo"heart Please see above to response to @Heather225.

I'm excited, I guess we'll see what happens. I'm pretty happy about just applying for it none the less! smiley

oops or see below....I respond to the forums, but sometimes they just go in different order of how they get stacked...still learning smiley

@Heather225

Well, I guess I decided to finally apply for something else. I applied for peer support. I have lots of really cute nicknames around here but one of them is "Goo". Others have encouraged me to apply for various things and the joke I made was that I guess I might be moving at snail pace for applying for roles. I then said I'm not just as slow as the snail for doing it, I'm the "Goo" left behind from the snail trail, lol! What a riot and it stuck! Some lovingly call me "Goo" and they are rooting for me smiley

I'm a trained active listener, then a verified active listener, then forum supporter. I guess we'll see about this next one? I don't know, we shall see if it happens.

I've wanted to be patient and make sure that I'm bringing the "good stuff" before even applying. I like to be one of those promise less but deliver more people. I want to make sure, that I know in my heart of hearts I am fully capable so as not to disappoint anyone.Once you carry the badge, it comes with a great deal of responsibility, that you have trusted in yourself to do it and that 7 cups trusts you too. I think I've been put through the paces, and at this point, it's not an I think I can it's a I know I can....toot toot, the little train that could!heart
