3 Key Things!

GlenM November 18th, 2019

Please post here 3 key things you have done to help move 7 Cups forward. I will be doing this on a daily basis. Feel free to do it daily, weekly, or monthly. Right now we've got thousands of people doing a lot of work on the site, but we don't have a clear way of being able to support one another. The goal of this thread is to help all of us see all the good work that is going on. Please ask any questions or share thoughts!

Hello smiley

This is my first time posting to this thread (or any thread, for that matter). I have been dealing with severe anxiety for the past 18 months or so, and this is the first time I have really gone for it and tried to find some help outside of my circle or friends and family.

Here's to hoping that 2020 will be a year of progress and good memories.

Hi all, I have so much anger toward a certain person and i want get rid of this anger as its causing me emitional distress.

@queenstreet Hello! Not sure of your reasons for your anger, just that I too have allowed my emotions to hinder my daily life when triggered by another. It is difficult to understand someone else's actions, especially when it seems their intent is to hurt. Disappointment in our selves for allowing another to wound us so deep is even worse. We spend all our energy to analyze, debate, and defend. All of this turns into self punishment when we understand that we've given away our power and it is us who are suffering. My best advice is to allow time to heal. Allow yourself to feel your human emotions and remain aware that that's all it is! A human emotion. Once you have become aware that you cannot change another person, only yourself, commit to doing just that. The awareness of this human reaction, will immediately reverse the effects of pain, and in time you will feel better. Of course it depends on how much contact you have with the person whom triggered you in the first place . If possible, cut all toxic relationship out of your life and commit to remaining picky on whom you share your precious time with. Blasting the song, My Life by Billy Joel, helps me every time! Hope this is helpful and take care of you!

I've not had the greatest day, been in quite a fair bit of physical pain for most of it, but managed to pull myself together when the pain eased around 11pm so 3 key things have been

1. Feeling grateful to my daughter and granddaughter for coming around, tidying up a bit and making some dinner for my husband (who was also unwell) and I, washing the dishes and generally helping out.

2. Feeling eased that the pain has finally eased and I was able to get up and about, even though bu then it's time I should have been going to bed!

3. Had 3 chats and read some more about the Intern programme.

Hi everyone, I am new to 7 cups. I have not been feeling so great the last 3 weeks...having severe anxiety and panic attacks. I started a new job working as a school aide in an elementary school from 11am-2pm. The job is not stressful, so not sure why I am feeling this way. Overall, the anxiety and panic attacks have been building up since I had a hysterectomy this past July...just been really awful the last 3 weeks. I am not sure if it is health related...but I hope to get some answers tomorrow at my apt. with functional practitioner. I tend to be a worry wart when it comes to my health. I hope to get through this!
