I've seen this sort of thing on a couple of other sites.

It's to put your accomplishments, relapses or anything you want it to be

you could post every day if you need to or once a month, no accomplishments too small.

and if you relapse, you are strong. and you can do this.

I will try get back to as many people as I can and if you need message me on here.

if this doesn't work oh well, but id like to see it work.

Hope you are liking all the cute cat pictures! [v] here is your next clue, where can you introduce yourself if you're new to the subcommunity this month?

@RaCat Thank you! I have a few peers who have been very helpful the past few days. Unfortunately I am physically in a stressful environment right now without them. So here I am on 7 Cups :) I think I'll be more regular on here from now on. Being here really helps!

I feel a bit out of place here.

Still, technically what I do causes some little pain and damage, and about a month ago I almost collapsed into something that would make me very in place, so...

It's been maybe six months since it started and before yesterday evening it was about a week free... What a nice week it was.

@Soleena oh i am sorry to hear you are dealing with this :/ I want you to know that there is no one who isnt fitting here. Self harm is not always about cutting or burning - there are a lot of ways to self harm and if you do something that hurts you and makes you feel worse - you are just in the right place! Also, congratulations for staying clean for a week - thats a first and huge milestone in your recovery path.

If you ever need someone to talk feel free to send message to me or any other active listener ♡ Stay strong!

@alexaners7734 its not pathetic and you should not hate yourself. I'm sorry for whatever you went or still going trough. if you haven't hurt yourself for a week that isnt pathetic, thats progress. im proud of you.

A year and a month. Sometimes I go days or longer without even thinking about it. Other times, I cant go an hour without another urge. Another racing repetitive thought that I have to get passed. It's still a choice not to hurt myself everyday. I never thought this is what the 27th year of my life would be like. I am proud of myself for staying strong, but I can't shake the feeling that my life should look more put together at this point.

@Jazpadawan

Thank you for sharing. It is inspiring to hear both your success as well as the steps you take to remain free from self-harm. Your honesty about some difficult days is really important for everyone to hear. Sometimes it seems difficult to acknowledge the process. Congratulations on so many different levels!

@Compassionatelistener108

I wish more people knew that Sober does not equal better. Being self harm free isn't some magical step that makes you completely better, but it is a very important step. For me, I try not to put it on a pedestal because that gives the urges too much power. I think of it just as a coping skill that I've stopped using because it wasn't helping me. Not self harming has helped me think more clearly about finding other coping skills that do help me. I'm not all better, but if I didnt stop hurting myself I wouldn't be where I am today.
