Am I really the first in? The link in the notifications wasn't working to get here. Anyway, what does it mean to have confidence? I dunno. For me it means putting my anxieties aside. That's not something I can do on demand though. This morning pushed me to it. I've been working so hard that I've been sweating in a very air conditioned office. I've got it now though. I feel like I started going so fast that I was bending time, and I was dealing with stuff that would normally make me second guess for a few minutes. I just wish I could do this all the time.
Hi @Torean, wow I relate to a few things you mentioned! I also have to make a concious effort to put my anxiety aside. (And I can relate to sweating in the AC too!) I'm glad to hear you are having a good day and sound like you are on a roll. I always like when that happens too :)
@Torean
hey! I hear you. It's not easy or always doable to completely set our worries aside. I hear that you are working hard, keep going! Your cups family is cheering you on ❤️❤️

Confidence???/ I guess it means to me that I am alright with who I am, what I decide to do, what I choose for myself, as long as I am not being harmful, hurtful, mean, abusive, or other bad things to anyone. I can be who I chose to be and be alright with being who I am. I am not dependant on someone else's ideas or opionions of me, for me to be okay with who I choose to be. I am fine with who I am and do not need some else's approval for it to be okay to be myself.
@Amelia2324
I love these thoughts Amelia. You are absolutely right ❤️ I specifically loved what you said about not being dependent on others
@Olivia210
Thanks Olivia. It was nice to see you hanging out in the room today also. I hope that you are having an alright day. Take care.
Having confidence means believing in ourselves, our capabilities , skillset , will and knowing we got our back through everything and can manage whatever comes our way ! 😊❤
@Sunisshiningandsoareyou
Sun, very big, wonderful way to describe confidence. You thought well and included many, important parts!!!
Aww thankyou for noticing value in my words , Amelia ❤
I love how you added a personal touch to your definition , certainly quite thoughtful and well written ~ being confident is also being accepting and trusting within ourselves , being self reliant for making choices and living life on own terms 😊 @Amelia2324
(Same bug with my notification - the link only works just now although the main post here stated that it was posted about three hours ago.)
For me, having self-confidence means believing in oneself, that one can do something - any challenge - that they have set their hearts and minds to. Sure sometimes hard work isn't enough, one needs other strengths as well, and this is why getting to know ourselves - including our dreams, strengths, and weaknesses - is something vital in life.
@11820Read
Read, well thought out and you brought up many good aspects.
For me confidence is feeling certain that I'm doing my best. To know that I did something to the best of my abilities and not have doubts or spend a huge amount of time second guessing myself. That I'm comfortable with myself and the choices and decisions I make - I think lol 😅
@mytwistedsoul
I love the way your defined confidence!!!!!!!!!! That is the best definition I've seen!!!!---and I've seen other definitions other places today. *High-Five*
@Amelia2324 *high five!* I liked your definition of confidence too. To be ok with who you are and not need anyone's approval ❤ that is so awesome! You're pretty awesome too. It's so wonderful to see you going around and giving support and encouragement to everyone. You're a good person Amelia ❤
@CheeryMango
What does it mean to have confidence? To me, confidence is giving yourself permission to feel proud of yourself without the 'but...'. Let's use this as an example. "I ran my errands today BUT I didn't do my workout, do the laundry, and sort through the mail." Leaving the 'but...' out is self care which builds confidence.
For me having confidence is very tied to having a sense of agency. If I feel like I can do something to have a positive effect, then I feel good about myself and abilities.
Feel like I’m late to the post! (Original link wouldn’t work for me) I struggle a lot with confidence in general. To me confidence is believing in yourself so that your confident with everything your doing and feeling comfortable in general. It’s something I’m working towards building that’s for sure. I’ll get there in the end, it’s so much easier to be confident in others than it is to be confident yourself you know?🤷🏻♀️
Hi everyone! I think confidence stems from happiness and trusting in yourself. Confidence is being able to walk into a room with your head held up high and not being afraid to make make a fool out of yourself. It isn’t something you are born with, it is something you can develop at any point of your life, and I think as you age you become wiser and more confident. Being confident is possible ☺️💪🏼

What does it mean to have confidence?
For me being confident means to be sure of one's ability to do things. To not doubt your qualities and strength. To be able to do things without the fear of how people would take it or what people would think xD. To be secure with ourselves and our strengths. And look at failures as lessons and not be afraid of doing the wrong thing.
Pumpkin, can we publish your definition?????? --maybe even post it around eveywhere on this site??? I wish my printer had not had to go to the road recently.
That is so true to view our failures as learning lessons!!!! I agree with this, but had not thought of it in this context.
Pumpkin, I am ready for you to share more with us on many more great subjects.
@Amelia2324
Amelia, you are really kind. I'm totally over the moon happy reading your complimentary post! Thank you so muchh ❤️
