I think having confidence is when you believe in yourself and know who you are. That is really vital in your self-love journey. Once you validate who you are and find yourself, you would be so much confident. Not only in yourself but confident in other settings.
I see confidence as embracing yourself for you with no judgement! You still strive towards your best self, and continue to fix your mistakes and strengthen your relationships. Confidence is ignoring toxic options but being open to constructive critical. Confidence means being comfortable in your own skin and being ok with not trying to please everyone. 🤍🙃
What does it mean to have confidence? For me, having confidence means being sure of my abilities, skills and have trust on myself and accept myself instead of doubting my qualities. (:

Hi sia, you really summed it all up so well!!!!! You can get your words and meanings out great!!!
To have confidence means, When you know what you are doing. To have confidence, we need to practise to stand on our own legs and you need patience to gain confidence. For that, we must learn to study this nature.
For me, confidence is knowing that I am loved and welcome and valued (at the very least by myself/God) and have a place in the world and I am worthy of contributing to the world in my own unique way, and I know I have, or can learn, the skills I need to do that.
This sort of 'confidence' can just be present in certain areas of life/places/situations, and gradually increase/expand as we grow, learn, recover. Sometimes we start life without it at all, but it can be built.
I think we are supposed to learn this in early life from our carers and childhood experience, but often it doesn't happen and then we can 'reparent' ourselves and surround ourselves with supportive people and find solutions.
@VioletSpringGlade, I like this definition the most! Thank you for sharing .
Confidence for me means being comfortable in my own skin and accepting myself fully. Trusting myself and my ability. Knowing that I'm not small or inferior to others! And not letting the naysayers mess with my mind!
@CheeryMango i believe that being confident in ourselves is knowing our ability and when enough is enough and being more open and communicative. having confidence is also have self-respect for yourself and knowing what you need and what you deserve and it's a very wonderful skill to build that makes a real difference
To mean confidence is to have strong faith in your self and not treat yourself harshly.
@CheeryMango
Being confident means trusting your skills, reflexes, thoughts, mind, heart, body, and in short, yourself. That is for me, hehe
What does it mean to have confidence???
For me confidence is all about striving to be the best you can be in every aspect of your life. Knowing that everyday you wake up with the best of intentions, doing what you can THAT DAY to live peacefully and pushing yourself to step outside the box. Allowing yourself to be uncomfortable, knowing that you are capable of anything you set your mind to... being your biggest supporter. Being okay with your choices, understanding our best intentions don't always turn out great but that you can recognize that and try for better next time. Some days we may have to "fake it", but continuing to practice self love and self acceptance will only grow your confidence and you can truly learn to love yourself for all that you are and have to offer the world
