During that time in August I had found a small litter of kittens. One had already passed, so there were two left that I had to try and save from being hurt or eaten by other animals after their mother ran.

The second one passed that same day before my friends came to collect them from me since they were better equipped to handle the job.

The third one was nurtured and cared for by my friends, but it died a few days after that...I'm sorry, I still think of that little guy!

Good intentions and compassion are draining.

In all honestly is this thread helpful for anyone?

I don't know, sometimes I can post something ironically funny but sort of sad, other times I'll post something actually sad because of what's happening. The last kitten I tried to save really did die, so even getting it out in 6 words was a little helpful.

Thank for sharing your perspective. I was just thinking about research on co-rumination in adolescents and how extensively discussing problems and re-visiting negative feelings with peers is generally considered detrimental to mental wellbeing.

Just a thought, I am well aware that we all have different experiences :)
