The last time I exercised was
Hi everyone! I hope you are well. Let's discuss the last time we exercised. Keep in mind that the time may vary based on your current fitness level that can change as per illness, mental or physical.
When was the last time you exercised and what did you do?
Yesterday I was able to do a bike ride....
@CyclingThroughLife
Hey cycling.... good freaking job!
@Hope
I exercised yesterday 20 minutes on a bike 10 minutes of jump roping with some squats thrown in between!
Feels goood.
I walk my son to school then walk my 2 year old to preschool with the baby in the pushchair each morning. And then home again. And then repeat for pickup so in all I would say roughly 2 hours of walking a day. If you've ever experienced the terrible twos, believe me trying to get a 2 year old to walk for 40 minutes without her losing her patience and running off is definitely exercise 🤣
@VenusianMoon
Actually, for someone with no children, it sounds quite beautiful. But being old enough to know it is definetly an exercise in patience as well as physical exertion. Good job! 😀
The last time I exercised was yesterday. I lifted some weights and did some crunches.
Yesterday I did an hour weight lifting and this morning I did an hour class on the spin bike....
One hour on the spin bike today....
@Hope I exercised this morning. Took the puppy up to the park where she has her obedience class. We got there early so she was able to run around before her classmates showed up. I believe the total distance was about four miles. We were gone for almost four hours. Now it's getting close to time to take her out again with her ball. Our neighbor was shocked that we walked the entire way. No vehicle so there really was no other way. It's hard on me since my legs are bad (knees mostly) but the puppy does better throughout the day when she has a good long walk in the morning.
I did a spin bike class this afternoon....
Anyone else continuing to get it in?
@CyclingThroughLife I work out for about 2 hours a day 🤷🏼♀️🤍 I got into pilates 5/6 years ago after being diagnosed with two slipped disks. I'd been isolated for years previous to the diagnosis but after 2 years of pilates I got really into exersise.
Am going away on Thursday for nearly a week. Not having working out as go to is kinda depressing. I'll have to take my yoga mat with me and get out for a long walk.

2 hours a day is awesome. I try to do at least one hour to an hour and a half. I alternate days between strength and some form of cardio, usually cycling on the road or on the spin bike. I've never done pilates. I've tried yoga but get bored quick. I'm assuming pilates are similar and I'd get bored with that? Not having a workout when you want to, need to or are used to it can be depressing. It seems you have the drive and motivation to meet your goal. Keep us informed as to how you are doing.
@CyclingThroughLife thanks. Love the sound of cycling outdoors. Pilates is more focused on building core strength and can get boring quickly as there aren't a great variety of progressions. I need to stick at it for life now otherwise the pain from the slipped disks is cripplingly unbearable.
I started looking into yoga as I was getting board of pilates and found this video 😍

This was the first yoga video I ever saw and was in love. Laruga (woman in the video) is 18 years into the practice. I'm 3 years in so have plenty to aspire to without getting board 😊
@CyclingThroughLife what strength training do you do? Sounds interesting.
I'm in the UK and we're moving into the cold rainy months.. But would love to get out on the bike more.
@Sasher
I have a handful of strength training routines that I rotate through. They vary from body weight workouts to weight lifting, resistance bands, kettlebell, and I even have a sledghammer/tire routine that I do occasionally. When I do strength training, I do a full body workout because I really don't have time to do muscle group splits on different days. I do more biking and cardio than strength though. We are also moving into our cold, snowy, winter months so I'll be moving from my road bike to my indoor spin bike very soon.
Today was day one of a spin bike challenge I joined. I did a 60 min spin bike ride today.
I continued with my bike fitness challenge today and put in some miles......
