Poetry Corner
Hello lovely people of mindfulness community!
For those that don't know me I'm Shade!
As you see this is the Poetry Corner ,for you to write your poems. The idea behind this happened suddenly after me thinking of writing a poem for minfulness while being in a minfulness discussion :D
This is the poem I made up with some cool changes that happened while showing it to @soulsings
''Feel, breathe stay here with the mindfulness you hear.
Let your past go and keep the moments of the present near
The Soul of all will always be here to make you feel heard,
Listening so closely to you, and joining and allowing you to feel joy.''
You have a poem that would like to share and make people inspired? Post down below! But please I would like you to be appropriate and if it has a curse word please phrase it in a different way or use this -> * <-. Thank you!

@sensitiveShade5337 That's a lovely poem you shared! reminds me of mindfulness!
This poem is actually song lyrics from the song Keep Tryin' by Groove Theory:
You've been missin'
Out on all the chances you've been given
Is it something within
Holding you back instead of livin'
Your day is coming though it seems far
Things will be clear when you love who you are
Nothin' can stop you as long as you listen to your heart
Lift your head to the sky and keep tryin'
Believe in you and it will take you higher
Lift your head to the sky and keep tryin'
Believe in you and it will take you higher
You have sorrows
Everywhere you turn they seem to follow
If you let go
Happiness will come to you tomorrow
Your day is coming though it seems far
Things will be clear when you love who you are
Nothin' can stop you as long as you listen to your heart
Lift your head to the sky and keep tryin'
Believe in you and it will take you higher
Lift your head to the sky and keep tryin'
Believe in you and it will take you higher
You can make if you try, you can make it

Awesome job, Rabbit! I love your flow and the contrasting imagery ❤️
@rabbitpower19
very beautiful flow and rhythm. The idea that there is more beyond the "world" we are always presented, always see, that drives our fears and anxiety's is powerful and a great reminder.
amazing work, love it❤️
This is my anxiety poem.
i wrote this in 5 hours late at night when i was feeling anxious.
i know it wont be great but i think its okay.
please let me know your thoughts
Anxiety
Welcome to anxiety.
Enjoy your stay.
There is no escape.
It is always near and remains very sincere.
It creeps up like monsters
Clinging to your shoulders
Weighing you down.
Making you feel like your drowning….
Anxiety is foot tapping.
Anxiety is heart pounding.
Anxiety is leg shaking.
Anxiety is a demon you cannot see.
Anxiety is like running a race all day.
Feeling on edge
Grasping for the finish line
While on the outside
you appear calm.
Anxiety is tiring.
Anxiety makes you hide,
your thoughts, tears and feelings
Anxiety makes you not seek help
Undiagnosed anxiety is the worst.
You forget about it for a little while
Then it creeps up like monsters
Clinging to your shoulders.
Hiding in your phone
As an means to escape.
Anxiety tells you, your worthless
Anxiety tells you, your useless
Anxiety tells you, your hopeless
Anxiety makes you believe that you will fail.
There is no escape.
It is always near and remains very sincere.
Welcome to anxiety.
Enjoy your stay.

Rabbit, I really like your descriptions of Anxiety here, and I like how you have repetition in your poem of
yes i love the repetition of anxiety- it really shows a relentless nature and a feeling of captivity
I love this exercise! Thanks for the opportunity to find a concrete metaphor to work out a new perspective, hard gained.
DWELLING
Putt putt puttering in my house,
my home wrapped in italics
ever since I signed my name
to a contract for my dwelling.
They gave me the key and a spare
I kept them on the same ring with
those for the car and the office.
I told my daughters some old yarn
love makes a house a home
but I meant our not a
single-story ranch with thirteen
trees in back and in front. That
home I chose to put put put myself
when Bank of America owned it
and I deposited the payments
like clockwork
every month.
Until I stopped.
Until I sold.
Until I found
the key I'd always had--
there is no spare--
and signed my name in the ground
beneath the floors, in the earth
that holds all of our names.
well done, this is brilliant❤️
Soon
She is waving at me
Her gentle smile warms my heart
I feel the comfort of her being around
Never leaving me wherever I go
Soon
Soon I will be ready to rejoice the love she gives me
The one i truly love - mother nature
this is absolutely beautiful❤️
Sea, Can your calmness I borrow?
I've been tired of dealing with it, my sorrow
each night I'd tell myself "you'll see a better tomorrow"
I am tired crying myself to sleep each night
although it makes me peaceful, I am unable to stop this never ending fight
I long to talk to someone, I long to scream
Well, nobody cares so it'll be better to be quiet, I am stuck in between
nature's my escape, I try to focus on each and everything
Hoping that one day, it will make me stop to over think
Cardboard Box
one cardboard box
dusty and old
sitting in the corner
filled with forgotton memories
just left on the floor
one cardboard box like a time machine
one look inside brings me back
to all my sucesses
to all my faliures
one cardboard box
filled with awards from the past
achievments that once ment everything
trophies and medals
shining silver and gold
these awards difined me
Awards that now rot
inside a cardboard box
I am not my sucesses
I am not my faliures
maybe who I am was left inside that cardboard box.

This is a great poem thanks. I particularly like
I am not my success - I am not my failures
this is really insightful❤️
