Mantras To Live By
A mantra is "a word or phrase that is repeated often or that expresses someone's basic beliefs."
A mantra is a self affirmation that you can repeat & think to yourself. Itcan help you be reflective about your personal thought patterns and work on improving them. Pick 1 or 2 that you want to work on and make a commitment to thinking them this week. Say them to youself when you wake up in the morning and before bed.
Let us know how it goes! You can create your own & share them here. Here are a few for you to start with:
I love myself and accept myself in this moment.
I forgive myself.
Keep your head up & your heart open.
My life is a magical gift.
This too shall pass.
I am strong & vibrant. I bring my unique opinions & world view to everything that I do.
I will accept the change that I cannot change.
when you realize you can't control everything but that's ok
"The purpose of life is not to be happy. It is to be useful, to be honorable, to be compassionate, to have it make some difference that you lived and lived well." -- Ralph Waldo Emerson
A good life is when you assume nothing, do more, need less, smile often, dream big, laugh a lot and realise how blessed you are!
I saw this in my local gym and it really helped: "When you feel like quitting, remember why you started."
I realised you can apply it to pretty much anything you do though not just exercise. Just try it, its worked wonders for me :)
That is a really great one! Thanks for sharing :D I needed this today!
"You are beautifully and wonderfully made." It helps me to remember that no matter how I feel about myself in that moment, I am here for a purpose and I am a lovely, meaningful soul in this big, beautiful universe.
Imstronger because i had to be, I'm smarter because of my mistakes, happier because of the sadnessiveknown, and now wiser becauseivelearned.
Being a fan of boxing I have always loved Muhamad ali quotes. These are a few I feel belongto this:
?I hated every minute of training, but I said, ?Don?t quit. Suffer now and live the rest of your life as a champion.??
?It isn?t the mountains ahead to climb that wear you out; it?s the pebble in your shoe.?
?Only a man who knows what it is like to be defeated can reach down to the bottom of his soul and come up with the extra ounce of power it takes to win when the match is even.?
This one might not be the most influential to people but I find it inspiring and funny
?If they can make penicillin out of moldy bread, they can sure make something out of you.?

I always say this to myself when I'm having a panic attack.
"The grass is greener where you water it." ~ Neil Barringham
I always say that nothing easy is ever worth it. It reminds me that if things seemto be very difficult the outcome must be very rewarding in some way. When I feel anxious I tell myself "this too shall pass". I repeat it over and over until it does pass. That reminds me that everything is temporary and I won't feel such discomfort forever.
