Your Chatroom Discussion Ideas
Pop-up discussions are fun! If you aren't familiar, pop-ups are 30-minute discussions that can take place at any time. Some are planned well in an advance, while others are completely spontaneous. The topics typically revolve around positivity, support, or something fun - but really anything goes. It's all up to the host. That’s where you come in! If you were going to host a pop-up, what would it be about? Don’t be afraid to think outside the box with this one! I can't wait to see your ideas!

@GoldenNest2727
I love this 🥳
Maybe discussing about hobbies, web series, movies, music would be fun
@Optimisticempath
I'm loving those ideas, Empath, particularly the ones about movies and music. There's usually something for everyone in those two themes. The web series idea sounds creative. Which web series is your favorite?
@GoldenNest2727 yes I feel these are topics most people can talk about and therefore feel included with <3
I cant think of any favorites, i like friends, Vampire diaries and stranger things though! 😛
how about you?
@Optimisticempath
Cobra Kai probably ranks #1 for me, but I like the ones you mentioned, too. Lots of good stuff out there.
@Optimisticempath
Vampire diaries, Legacies were among my favorite series. I was particularly obsessed with vampire at a point. What're your ideas about vampires?
@pandanfe love them too and I get the obsession haha
Ummm idk what thoughts .... do you have any? Feel free to share :D
@pandanfe hehe I love this 🧛♀️🧛♂️ vampyyy panda is your new name oki?🥰
what would vampy Panda do first after visiting Mystic Falls? xD
@pandanfe lmaoo yes we can be vampy buddies it'll be fun hahah 😁 and "Salvatore Brothers" (who do you like more btw??) better be welcoming of us xD
I am so glad you loved the name VampyPandaa🤗
@pandanfe I love him more alsoooo☺
@Optimisticempath Yessss! :) Love that idea. I have been thinking about music or poetry related ones. The format being like the share circle format were people can share introspective, uplifting, emotional, inspiring, positive, or silly poems or song lyrics (within community guidelines).
Just having a queue for people to share (for 2-3 minutes), and then the room can have a opportunity to say something about it if they want (something positive like "thank you for sharing!", "Loved it!", etc etc) like in the share circle before moving onto the next person?
Kind of like an open mic night, if that hasn't already been done.
@AmintaBlack very creative, it'll be so much fun, I hope this idea is considered 🥰
I remember @gloriaD @lou73 @fristo hosting some gratitude circles too in the positivity something room they were nice also ❤
@Optimisticempath i remember!! i loved hosting positivity events, especially gratitude circle❤️ they are an awesome source of reminders to be grateful for what we have and make the best out of our days!
@Fristo yes!! Loved it too!! Hope to see them more often 🥰🥰
@Optimisticempath I love your idea!!! its absolutely great:)
oops there's a typo! I meant to say "it's"
@Angela0712 haha typo is ok and thankyou so much ❤

@GoldenNest2727 A session about writing scripts/ directing new web series
@yourbuddy30
Oh my goodness, I just saw the pop-discussions that you're hosting this week. I love these two ideas:
Creative Excuses’, being hosted by @YourBuddy30 on Tuesday October 11, 11:00 - 11:30 AM ET (Adults)
‘Pranks’, being hosted by @YourBuddy30 on Thursday October 13, 11:00 - 11:30 AM ET (Teens)
Those are awesome ideas. You guys are going to have a good time!
@GoldenNest2727 Thank you so much Nest. Please join me in the session. Would love to have you attend the session
Favorite fall things sounds like a fun topic! Getting excited for the cold and the leaves! The days are growing shorter and I think it would be a fun idea to focus on the wonderful things this season has to offer!
@LynnsListeningEar
I like that one, Lynn. I think the beautiful gold, red, and orange leaves are part of what makes fall so special. Drinking warm cider is also a pleasure. Lots of good things to celebrate in the fall. A pop-up like that would give us a chance to savor the changing of the seasons. Nice!
@GoldenNest2727 this is great! how to be a host?
@Jowita
I'm glad you asked, Jowita. We're recruiting trainees right now for the 7 Cups Academy programs. These are free courses that allow trainees to help the community while gaining professional skills and leveling up their CV. I learned how to lead impactful discussions through my participation in the Group Leadership and Dynamics Development course. Maybe you'd like to give it a try?
Although the GLDD training made me a better host, it's not a necessary requirement to host pop-up or other discussions. If you want to host a pop-up, just fill out this form. You can also message https://www.7cups.com/@donalddraper if you'd like more information.
A topic for discussion : why go far: Hosting;
Topic discussion: should a host be more of free will with respect of all grounds. Or, the host should be more of high quality frame. Since everything a host present do can be sensitive to the show.
If I understood The post right, a topic to discuss. Please excuse my manner. Thank you
relationships, all sorts- family, social, professional..everything.
@GoldenNest2727
This may be very specific, but I wanna hold up a pop-up discussion about staying positive and having a constructive attitude towards dealing with Asperger's Syndrome or Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD) in general. Would that be okay? 😛
@HavenonEarth
I believe you're hosting our positive focus huddle, and I'm really looking forward to that. I think we should all celebrate our differences, so it's cool to see you pushing for that.
I'd probably go with the flow and see what happens. Maybe play a few games such as 'how to make tedious chores fun' - see how many ideas we can come up with! Actually does anyone have any ideas for that? Seriously I'm procrastinating on cooking, dishes and laundry and replacing it with drinking pop and being a couch potato
