What is a word that just makes you...

Heather225 May 17th

It's not even a bad word. It's just a word that sounds icky, squicky, or like nails on the chalkboard of your mind.

For me it's flesh. 😬

🫵 Your turn!

@Heather225

uh-oh......looks like we are going there today, lol 😊 No worries, it's a Fri-yay! 🥳 We earned this bit of fun! Weeeeeeeee weeeeeeeeeee! 😊

I'll preface this with I have some really rotten friends (hhaha ahhahha 😊) of whom I deeply admire, respect and adore! ❤️ Hey, funny is funny! They torment me with their humor from time to time. (Have no idea why they do so? 🤔  Of course I am most innocent in all of this *grin* 😁 )

Words that creep me out, make me cringe that I can say here (keepin' it clean folks) are moist, yogurt, but when you just shorten it to "gurt" and girth. Girth wasn't even a "me thing" until a friend of mine decided they were freaked out by the word and so then said it "at me" all of the time, lol 😊 Mission accomplished buddy. I now cringe along with you! My friends know about the other two words also and use them as often as possible. The saga continues. 😊

Might I say H, excellent choice of "flesh" being your cringe word. Ooof! Recently watched a documentary on The Unabomber Vs. Dommer and how they stack up against one another for being psychopaths when comparing their PCL-R's. If I had a nickel for every time they said the word "flesh", well.....I'd have a whole lot of nickels. Nopie, nope, nope. That word makes my skin crawl now also, *smirk* 🤭.

(As an aside, if inquiring minds want to know, Dommer won by a long shot. 33 was his score)!

Thanks again for the fun forum post! 😊 I enjoyed (wait for it....wait for it.........) fleshing out these thoughts.

*high fives* 😊 and *hugs* ❤️

Eyes. I like eyes I even like doodling them on my textbook during class but the moment someone says that word out loud I feel uncomfortable😬

Olive1Q82 May 18th

At this time, it’s corporate words like stakeholders, bandwidth, circle back, best regards. 😆😆

@Olive1Q82

Best Regards is always followed by bad news lol

slowdecline48 June 21st

@Olive1Q82 I didn't know "circle back" was corporate in any way. What does it mean?

@Olive1Q82

Our new Toxic Micromanager came from wells Fargo and she always asks us what our "bandwidth" is and always says "more to come on that" 🤮🤮🤮🤮🤮

slowdecline48 July 27th

@Olive1Q82 I agree re the first word. As someone who's been investing for a good while, I consider "shareholder" adequate. It's a technical term that has been around for a long time. "Stakeholder" is pretentious...a word used by people who are anxious to prove how business-savvy they are. People who are truly savvy (about anything) don't feel a need to prove it to everyone they meet.

@calmmoon2104 I agree. Needless redundancy is rather irritating, especially when someone indulges in it constantly.

When people get or show small cuts or incisions. If it's big like a gash or a full on stab I'm okay, but like thin slices or clean sharp cuts are 🤢
