The One Thing I Do When I'm Depressed is...
What is the one thing you do to help yourself feel better when you're experiencing depression? It can be anything at all, even simple things such as a longer warmer shower and listening to music or sounds of nature before bed.
I either mindlessly browse the internet or I lay around and do nothing.
well its everyday... and I have no idea what I do all day or how to make time passs more quickly. lol. mostly I just end up stuck in thoughts.. so many thoughts.
@Silentshadow4339
I have had similar thoughts before (get stuck on them in my head). That can really be challenging. One thing I have found helpful is journaling about those thoughts. Writing them down on paper and seeing them is a good outlet. <3 Message me if you would ever like to talk about it. <3
Cry, watch some good stand-up comedy, cry some more, meditate...try to find a positive side to my situation.
@BlackTourmaline4217 I love that you try to find the positive side. It's a tricky balance between acknowledging that how you feel sucks and trying to find something better and more hopeful to cling to, but it sounds like you have some good coping mechanisms. I know when I cry, I usually feel much better afterwards.
@wingedtrish Yes, crying is definitely therapeutic :D Reminding myself as often as I can that I always have choices, no matter what the current situation is, also helps a lot.
@BlackTourmaline4217 Oh yes! While some choices are more difficult than others, you can always choose.
Distract myself!
I usually scroll through youtube to take my mind of things, or ill chat with some friends or hop on the group chat on here. Love making new friends there :)
I'm crying and listening to sad songs !
Talk to my best friend
Eat, play with my acne, sleep for long hours.
Sing my heart out! then cry... It's a combination of highs and lows.
@Lia56 I love singing my heart out
