Keeping up with School Assignments and Project Deadlines
Student Support / by theheartproject

...See more One of the greatest challenges experienced with some students is keeping up with deadlines, keeping a record and even tracking progress. Sometimes you forget to even do an assignment or even caught unawares that there was one. Many students (Like many adults!) conflate the process of planning and working. This presents students with significant challenges: 1. You dont have a good sense of how to use your time; you end up spending too much time on a less-important assignment and run out of time for a project or assignment that significantly impacts your grade. 2. You may not have all the resources necessary to complete the assignment or projects; failure to plan ahead may mean without the right textbook or study notes or even materials. On the other hand, there are people who work best last minute which is totally ok if you have not been experiencing challenges. To keep up with assignments and project deadlines, you need to determine priorities: - What is due first? - How long will I take to finish each? - What makes sense given the resources and time I have available right now? - What is the most effective outcome that meets the requirements and that I will be happy with? Personally I keep up with school assignments and project deadlines by using a planner and having an accountability partner as well as phone reminders. I also use mini-deadlines. How do you keep up with school assignments and project deadlines? Realizing you are stuck and need help

...See more Realizing you are stuck can be one of the hardest things in life to some of us. We sometimes keep pushing which could be a good thing and could also be bad if not closely evaluated. Being stuck could be good because at times is shows us our inner potential. Being stuck could be bad if you deceive yourself you will do it when you know you have reached your end point. It is like running when you are out of breathe. This could lead to a heavy burnout and hence affect you mentally, emotionally and even physically. 1. How do you realize you are stuck? 2. How do you realize you need help? 3. Have you ever been stuck at any point of your life? How did you go about it?(feel free to share your experience)
