Bio

As an adult survivor of childhood abuse, I spent the first 30+ years of my life running from, and avoiding feeling any emotions - whether they were good or bad. Once I started working on my mental health in therapy, I started to feel A LOT - and it was beyond overwhelming. But I was determined to see it through. Over the years I have learned so much. You name the book, I’ve read it; style of therapy; I’ve immersed myself in it. And one thing that had a tremendous impact on me was finally opening up about my struggles to people that I felt safe with. Isolation was what felt comfortable, but sharing and connecting with others, while terrifying, allowed me to finally let go of the shame that I had carried with me all my life. It would mean the world to me to give others the space and the safety to share their struggles. To help people feel connected and heard.
