Bio
Hello,
I am passionate with a big heart for helping others. While I
don't have a formal education in counseling except for a semester in Cognitive
psychology, I have educated myself on psychology over the years, taking courses
and reading extensively on the subject. I have also done peer counseling and
have found it to be an incredibly rewarding experience.
As a listener, I approach every conversation with honesty,
gentleness, and empathy. I believe in the power of positive energy and collaboration
and strive to bring a "let's figure it out together" attitude to
every session. I listen with care and can weigh various elements of a situation
to help come up with solutions to problems.
My interest in psychology stems from my personal challenges
with clinical depression, severe anxiety, ADHD, and an eating disorder. As
someone who has experienced the benefits of support from colleagues, I am
passionate about paying it forward and helping others on their journey to
wellness.
While I prefer individual counseling, I am also comfortable
with group counseling. I have no preference for clients and welcome all
individuals who seek support.
Thank you for considering me as your counselor. I look
forward to connecting with you and helping you find clarity and strength in
your personal journey.
Reach out to me to share my shade on a rainy day! ☀️
