If you are hurting yourself intentionally to help something that is going on inside, it's self harm. Whether it's acid, chemicals, or fire that you are burning yourself with. You can harm yourself using knives or scissors, or even by scratching yourself.
I guess it's very personal as to what you consider to be self harm, however I'd say that doing anything that ends up causing yourself pain or damage would count. I know hurting yourself isn't something you can just stop so if you'd like to talk about it just message me, take care please.

Yes, it does! Every attempt that leads you to hurt your own self counts as self harm. So be careful with your behavior!
I think any kind of intention harm to ones self counts as self harm, so it's probably as bad as self harming since the effect is similar, and probably the reasons behind it also are.

I absolutely would call this self-harm. Self-harm is defined by deliberate harm to oneself- it does not matter whether that means a certain method or not.

Of course, it's not the potency of the harm done, but the intention that matters.
Yes it does. First of all unless you were a scientist there really is not a lot of ways to get a hold of acid as toxic as some found in labs could be, there really should be no way a person can get acid. Second if you were to get a hold of acid that can cause harm, it would be intentional because you physically would need to go and get it. I don't think people will keep acid that is not safe in the house. So in my view yes.

Self-harm is anything you do that causes harm to yourself. Using acid to burn yourself is included. When you see something you do or something about you as different, do you often think it doesn't count, or that it's of lesser or no worth? You are worth something. You do count. You do matter. You are worth self-love. Every person is different, but we have simliar empathetic struggles; in no circumstance is being or doing something different ever mean you're a bad person or that you don't count. You are not alone.
Yes. Any form of bodily harm that you purposely inflict on yourself is considered self harm. Please consider seeing a therapist or doctor about this issue if you feel you are engaging in self harm.
