Welcome to the Women’s Issues Community!
Women's health, including mental health, is an issue that affects us all. At 7 Cups, we believe that women's health is one of the most important issues of our time and that is why we have recently launched this women's issues community.
This community is a safe space to share about your mental health, physical health and anything else related to the issues you face as a woman. People who advocate for and support women are also welcome to join this community. Topics that are encouraged include:
Sharing our personal stories
Inspiration from books or podcasts
In-depth discussions and expert tips
To celebrate this launch, we are hosting a live group chat room event on Wednesday the 8th of February at 1 PM EDT in the Special Events chatroom. Join us to connect with others who are excited about this space growing, share the topics that feel most concerning to you, and stay tuned for a special surprise!
To get this community started, here are some prompts to consider:
🌺 Introduce yourself - if comfortable, let us know what are some challenges you face that you would like some support with within this community space
🌺 Tag someone who you think may be interested in joining this new space!
🌺 Read more about why we believe women’s health is important here
I am very happy to have this community. I suffer with depression and anxiety daily
@SoulfullyAButterfly As someone who has studied medical anthropology in Europe and comparative health systems and worked seriously on maternal and infant health in the uS, after huge doses of steroids I am terrorized, violated, misdiagnosed, abused and tramatizrd, not to mention appalled by recent experiences with the mental health system. I was arrested for non-existent suicidal thought several times, beaten without provocation in mental wards, stripped naked and sat on, taken 100 miles from my home, told I was schizophrenic, arrested fir resisting arrest and dragged out of a hospital.
Hi! I am Brenda and I am in my mid forties and premenopausal. Enough said.
Hello... happy to see this space.
I hope someone can help me to address hormone or mood swings during and before my period. I have always heard and been aware of them. But for some reason now in my mid 30s I seem to be more distracted, I space out, I forget things. I think I have seen it more and during my cycle. But it is affecting my relationship with my partner so much now, that I no longer know if I am that bad... or if he is exaggerating. I never hear anyone talk about something like this during their 30s...so makes me wonder if I have just become more careless.
If anyone can share stories or what has helped them, I can at least know that I am not imagining it all. Or if this is not something that sounds hormone related, I welcome the input too. I just don't know if this is a mental health issue or a hormone change issue. I'm so confused and frustrated.
Thank you 💙

This is a wonderful, welcome program!
Hello there, I am a 29 year old woman suffering from hair loss and this issue has immensely affected my social life, my confidence and my outlook towards the future. I feel like I am going through this alone since its rare to find young women who are in the same boat as me. If someone else is going through the same issue, please feel free to send me a message, would love to connect so that we dont have to feel so alone in the struggles that life makes us go through.
Is anyone listening?
What a great space!
