Welcome to the Women’s Issues Community!
Women's health, including mental health, is an issue that affects us all. At 7 Cups, we believe that women's health is one of the most important issues of our time and that is why we have recently launched this women's issues community.
This community is a safe space to share about your mental health, physical health and anything else related to the issues you face as a woman. People who advocate for and support women are also welcome to join this community. Topics that are encouraged include:

In-depth discussions and expert tips
To celebrate this launch, we are hosting a live group chat room event on Wednesday the 8th of February at 1 PM EDT in the Special Events chatroom. Join us to connect with others who are excited about this space growing, share the topics that feel most concerning to you, and stay tuned for a special surprise!

I'm GermanZebraCupcake or Zebra for short - I suffer from PCOS and have had many years of feeling like my body is not my own because of the side effects of this. I look forward to the warm community 7 cups often fosters on sensitive topics.
does anyone struggle getting out during their periods? its been happening to me lately, i get super exhausted if i stay out for more than an hour
The worst side effect I got with my periods was extreme fatigue. When I could, I'd call in sick to work for the first 2-3 days and just sleep all day. I'd be so tired, that when I was sitting in the kitchen, waiting for the kettle to boil, I could fall asleep. I could barely keep my eyes open during the day, so I literally just end up sleeping all day.
Now, it's better, as I turned to using an IUD the past 6 years.. and my period doesn't come at all, so that extreme fatigue also doesn't bother me anymore.. but I do realize that even without getting my period regularly, during the time it's supposed to come, I do still feel a bit more tired than usual.
@Jaeteuk well i say, congratulations <3. i still struggle and i was once told by a female colleague "you're a woman, how can you not be used to it by now" and i felt like i should be sitting upright and acting like everything's fine, that i was a cry baby :(. Its thanks to social media that i realized i wasn't alone. But sometime her words still ring in my ears :( And i pretend everything is okay and smile through the pain :(
Thank you. We all have different symptoms with our menstruation. Some are harder to bare than others and each of our tolerance levels are different too. So, don't listen to that female colleague.
