My Diary place
Not sure who will read it or if anyone wants to, so I guess it is for me. I can put things here when I need to and if you are reading this remember it is just the ramblings of me. So I will put things here and it will not get in anyone elses way.

Hey Ames
I have you in my calendar 2 times so I hope I have the day correct, otherwise please forgive the oldie 😄

This year has been quite horrible, I sadly lost my Papa to cancer and the Covid-19 has scared me so much. Still, thank you to people on 7cups helping me get through it. Thank you to my school where I made two new friends despite now being the shortest person in my class [again] and masks making it difficult for me to understand them. Thank you to the people on the street I live on, where we have all looked after each other and with the scary next-door people I have exchanged pictures for candy. They still scare me a little and sometimes too much candy has hurt my tummy [But I kept drawing pictures]. Thank you to my family both biological or adopted for always loving me and letting me just be me. Thank you for my baby God Sister who is so cute and always happy. Thank you to all medical people, that have looked after people during such a horrible year. My brother who is a medical doctor asks people to stop giving him wine because he is running out of room, you lovely Italian people. Even though I and perhaps you have also had a horrible year, lost someone you still love, I am so grateful for all that I have. So, as I head back home to Spain under very strict procedures, I just wanted to say the world has some truly amazing people in it, thank you and have a nice safe Christmas.
@AmalieAnne
Love the pic Ame x
Happy Christmas
It has been a very hard year, but at the same time we have so much to be grateful for as you say x

Are you doing ok?
@Avaray
Hello,
Everything is ok I think, feeling very strange today although it is early still. I just wish some things were different but I might just be grumpy right now. How are you?
Ame
@AmalieAnne
Hi xx
Hope u feeling better... I think one is allowed to be grumpy xx
Avaray hasn't been too good, but I'm tough and strong and kinda very tired 😂
Work has been trying and they were speaking of retrenchment now going to halve our working hours so I'm trusting God for a miracle at the moment.
How is school going. Did u get another lock down or is things a bit more stable? Is your family doing ok, I know a lot of them are frontline and it's amazing the amount od themselves that frontline people give. I hope they are doing ok.
Sending love and hugs awesome Ames💜💜💜
@Avaray
Hello,
I think it is ok if you want to be the grumpy one now or neither of us, which would be better. The retrenchment thing worries me a little bit, I am hoping that things will work out. I am not sure how the government works where you are but they should help people, so hopefully they will help you if you need it. So, that is a bit scary so I will move on. It is almost your birthday, so how old will you be? At least your birthday is in the summer, it is really cold here but then again it is Canada so it normally is in the winter. You just have to run when we going for walkies with Molly.
School is going well although I kind want people to get the vaccine so things can go back to more normal. I think that the virus is worse in Europe than here, so that is kind of want the oldies there to get the vaccine. My brother has had it because he works with people that have it, after some time Mama disagreed, I let mommy have words with her. I am not ever going to argue with Mama but at least she has now had it as well. Granddad is having the first one on Saturday and so that leaves granny. I think my sister and me can wait until they have done all the oldies and health care workers.
Keep being tough and strong but not so much the tired part. *hugs*

Hi Ames xx
Thanks so much for my beautiful drawing, always love your art, I hope you are putting it into an album or book to keep.
Yes we've had second wave now just taken us back to level one and work has been challenging in lots of ways.
Who won the "war" mama or your mom?
I'm.... 24.5 again and again ok that adds up to my age, 49 years young. Eish when did that happen 😂
Thanks again kiddo
Love and hugs

@Avaray
Hello,
You are welcome and you just a little bit younger than my mommy which makes you really old, sorry. Still, there is nothing wrong with that just you have to get rid of the spiders, scare away ghosts and all the oldie things like that. I hope that you and your older family get the vaccine soon, it is perhaps better in Canada at least where I am but as soon as we get people the jab the better. Granny has her jab next week. As for Mama well, mommy did win but that is not a fight I am getting involved in ever!!! Mama is armed and dangerous (but only to fascists normally). Thankfully I did not get her stubbornness I did get it. I was thinking about doing a book of fairies for my God Sister, she is still little but maybe if they could make it into a book that would be kind of a good gift, I could give her. I tend to keep most things though. Any who, *hugs* be good,
Ame
I know that recently many people have really suffered because of the Covid virus and in many different ways but hey… this is my diary so it has to be about me, sorry! I hate that I cannot do things, normal things, even to be scared of things that are kind of ‘lessons’ in life. Like finding me a handsome boy to kiss, and yes, that makes my face go a little bit red with embarrassment. Still, one can dream of things and perhaps I am not quite ready just yet. I am almost an adult, which is very scary and I have no idea how to do things, with no confidence in me, to commit to being one… yet! Perhaps I will never be able to live alone or drive a car but who cares, if I added up all the things, I cannot do then I would be forgetting the things I can. If I could be bold to suggest that everyone reaches my age and feels the same, they just fail to share that it felt pretty scary at the time to them as well. So, recently things have been scary, strange, weird and the rest and that is not how I want things to be. Perhaps most people did not at my age have a pandemic going on but hey to hell with it, this Ame needs to dream. I want to be thrown out of a casino for counting cards, to be so drunk I sing songs which strangers, to trespass in Area 51, to tell really rude jokes not just because they are things that will get me in trouble but because they would be fun. Plus, I want to see them aliens! So, if you will excuse me, I have to take all this heavy crappy nasty stuff off me and kick it in the bottom. Sod off… see my inner Lincolnshire girl is alongside my Catalonian need to kick things. Sometimes you need to say the F word and have a good shake. Let me dream…
So, Listen Up we are going to do some history right now. Sit down unless you are already sitting down in which case, stand up! Why you ask? Because I am currently The Boss Lady so if you mess with me, then you will regret it. [I have the feeling I am being too confident but I am hoping to make it work somehow.] People think we discover history but that is simply not true, we create it but not like that. This is the very short tale of Easter [egg] Island and I have heard a whole lot of nonsense so you better listen up and get it right…
Easter Island: No Nonsense Edition
It is NOT a mystery; we know what happened so stop making stuff up and before you ask no it has nothing to do with aliens. Again, STOP MAKING STUFF UP. The Egyptians built the pyramids so you are being so silly by suggesting anything else. When I was little, I thought that if you went north through the arctic you would appear in Antarctica but I happened to be little at the time. And to be honest that works on the East-West axis so perhaps it was not too silly to think it works in the north-south axis. Ok… that is out now. I feel much better. Moving on, Easter [egg] Island is located somewhere in the Pacific Ocean, in fact it was rather a miracle that the first Polynesians found it and then called it home. In 1722 on Easter Sunday the explorer Roggeveen was called to the main deck because the crew had spotted what was until then, in Europe, a mystical place. From the histories of Easter Island, Clive Ponting wrote that around 3000 people living in hunts and caves, engaged in warfare and then finally cannibalism which ended their own civilisation. Not only did they built strange heads made of stone but they pushed themselves to destruction by doing so. It was believed that since the 10th Century a small group had somehow found the island, built a society albeit a rudimentary one, that cut down all the trees which resulted in a lack of food and warmth. By the time Roggeveen in 1722 only a few thousand inhabitants remained and they were eating each other. This is a typical 18th century picture that any European would hold, to fail to see a rich culture but it is not actually true.
One of the most bizarre cultural examples is the islander’s language, the direction of writing is from left to right, the same as in English. However, when you finish the line you had to turned the thing you are reading it from upside-down, then read left to right, then at the end again turn it upside-down to continue and so on… This is called ‘Reverse Boustrophedon’ and you can read the Rongo-rongo by visiting Rome (when things get back to normal). The Dutch, Spanish and British from Captain James Cook, never reported encountering the Rongo-rongo or written Rapanui, the language of the Easter Islanders. Then again, European explorers had the very bad habit of not paying much attention and assuming that our, certainly my, culture was just superior despite evidence against this notion. So, let’s return to Easter Sunday in 1722, on approaching the Island one of the Easter Islanders got into a canoe and set off to inspect the funny looking Europeans. Once aboard, Bolton Corney said, the Islander was amazed at the great high masks, went around exploring this strange ship and then poured brandy into his eyes. I am not sure if this one individual represented all of the Islanders. Roggeveen and his crew did, however, get into their rowboats to return interest.
The crew saw a crowd gathering on the beach as they approached the island. Still, something was weird the Moai or stone heads could not really be understood. Actually, in Roggeveen’s logbook1 he wrote “we could not understand”. See I told you! Further adding “how it was [it] possible… [that] without construction gear, had [they] been able to erect them”. Kind of sounds like the same approach people have to the great pyramids of Egypt. By the time Katherine Routledge came to Easter Island in 1914 not a single Moai, stone head, remained standing complete or undamaged. So, what happened on Easter Island? It is thought that Polynesians did find the island sixteen hundred miles away from South America, in canoes around the 10th century. This is where it becomes again a very European story. When Roggeveen and 134 of his men landed on Easter Island, some got into a battle formation and without warning fired five or so musket shots, after some panic thirty more before they accepted the order to stop. As the islanders fled further inland ten people were dead, including the man who poured brandy into his eyes. Roggeveen was really mad but none of his men suffered any punishment, though later he and the other funny looking Europeans had a party with the islanders. It is not known if the brandy helped the situation or not, though I am guessing it might have been.
Spanish Galleons visited and claimed Easter Island for the king of Spain, later they dropped that claim as more pressing stuff was going on back home. Four years later an English expedition once again discovered the island, led by one Captain James Cook despite the whole expedition being based on the assumption Easter Island was just a myth. Cook did report that the Moai, the stone heads, had left to weather with many of the foundations were in decay2. A Russian sailor’s account in 1804 reported that most of the Moai had fallen over or perhaps been knocked over on purpose. Later several researchers wrote in the Journal of World Archaeology cited the idea of ‘cargo cults’ as perhaps what happened3. The name comes from mainly the USA setting up in areas and regions around the world during the Second World War, this altered the culture and beliefs of those that had lived there. Although this happened with other World War Two powers, the locals had no context and saw the army as ‘god-like’. In short, they dropped their customs and imitated the newcomers. This is what is believed to happen to the Easter Islanders, the Europeans successfully undermined local beliefs and changed long held behaviours. It was around the same time the island’s inhabitants started building European style houses.
But that is not the sad part; one day in 1862 the first slave ship arrived at the island, Peruvian slave merchants with 16 ships took 1407 of the islanders. Many of these kidnapped people died in either mines or through diseases that they had not been exposed to before. Half a world away the ideals of morality had been changing and, in the end, this paved the way for the end of slavery as it had been known for centuries and the deadliest revolution in France. By 1863 the Peruvian government after receiving pressure both internally and from the rest of the world agreed to return the islanders. The remaining 470 islanders were gathered in the port of Callao and then bored an American whaling ship. Unfortunately, one of the crew had small pox and by the time the former slaves got home, only 15 of the 470 had survived small pox and the lack of food. These 15 people who by now had been exposed to small pox sealed the fate for everyone living on Easter Island, by 1877 the pox killed all but 100 or so of the Easter Islanders. This marked the end of their culture and Easter Island became a mythical place that once existed4. A culture had been destroyed not by themselves but ‘us’ Europeans.
No aliens, no starving from cutting all the trees down, no cannibalism just plain and simple destruction. As for the Aztecs they definitely had alien help!

@AmalieAnne
Yum!!
Where is mine ? 💜
@Avaray
Well... I could share my chilli marmite. Would you like it on some toast? I hope that you are doing ok, it is a worry of mine.
@AmalieAnne
Hi Ames x
Ummm.... You are too kind but I would prefer the chocolates 😊
Otherwise bovril on toast.. Or plain marmite on toast or butter on toast with a nice strong hot cup of african blend five roses tea please xx Not rooibos tea it's healthy but disgusting.
I'm getting there kiddo x
Going to psy chiatrist next week to get an add on to my ad"s to see if that will help.
I resigned from my work at the end of last month as the stress and other things was too much for me and becoming toxic for me mentally and then physically ad the aftereffect of it all.
I have another job, same field of work, but it allows me to work offsite at home or wherever i am and therefore i can cut my travelling down and i can be at home during the holidays with the kids.
It's quite an adjustment as I've been running on extreme everything for such a long time and now i have sort of hit a flat, like the adrenaline has been taken out and now you're pooped out kind of feel.
But i think it was the right move, one I believe God made a plan for me to get at the right time so i didn't totally crack. It will just take some time.
And I write my last exam in July so i need to get that into my brain.
How u doing, are you on holiday or at school?
Is your family keeping well?
Hugs amazing Amalie
@Avaray
Hello Avaray,
I can share chocolate begrudgingly however; I can of course make toast with marmite on it although we only have fruit teas or English Breakfast (we have coffee as well). I have never had a job but if you do not like it then I am happy that you did quit it. To be honest a good thing about the pandemic for me is that mommy is here which I kind of like, you would have to ask mommy if she likes it or not. So, it is a good thing for you perhaps to have a new job that means you can stay at home some of the time. At least you will travel less which of course reduces the risk of encountering a mischievous monkey with naughtiness in mind. Hopefully if you need some medicine then it will help you as well. I still do not know what kind of fieldwork, so I am guessing some sort of excavation of some tomb from a lost civilisation. Yes, that is correct, me thinks.
I am doing well, yesterday I had my Dutch speaking exam which went well, I think. I still have to catch up with spelling but I get extra time to do that. Having dyslexia sometimes is a good thing, the number if J’s in Dutch sometimes is an annoying thing. School is still weird because only half the class can be there at a time and my school is not that big to start with. I officially start normal school on Monday but I kind of like it My family is well, when granddad stops telling bad jokes I know things are going wrong. So far, the granddad jokes are still very bad! Just my bestest friend (she is family) might be going away to school in the autumn so blah. We will see, *hugs* Be good and be on the look out for monkeys. Plus yes you can have some chocolate, I am not that mean.
Ame
@AmalieAnne
You are too kind sharing your chocolates. Thank u xx

We often see zebra when we drive to school or on the way to Grandpa and Granny, also buck and ostriches and the one time we saw a giraffe but haven't seen one there again.
We went to a dam that friends of ours manage the farm and there were 2 little crocodiles swimming around eying us out while we were fishing. They said there is also a much bigger one and a python, didn't see those fortunately.
How u doing?
Hugs 💕
Hello,
It would be very strange to see a zebra or giraffe on the way to school, we have really big mooses here which I have seen a couple of times. I know for if someone said there are two little crocodiles, I would not be going anywhere they could get me. In that picture honestly you cannot see them plus I read somewhere that their skin is bullt proof (no idea if that is true plus I do not have a g*n). So, I had the covid jab yesterday and it hurt, now it is making me feel really sick. Hopefully though it will be ok and that means people will not get really sick. I am just not looking forward to the second one at all. Any who, how are you? Plus, I check my shoes and wellies for spiders, snakes and other things that can bite or sting me. You should do that as well, if you are not already doing it. My brain is being somewhat naughty and things are going around fast, so I hope that I have made sense. Have a nice weekend free of crocodiles and snakes *hugs*

@Avaray I named your other doggy cupcake
@AmalieAnne
hey there xx
Which one, I have 3
maybe the ridgeback because she is crazy about sweet things so you have to make sure she can't get to them.
😂
We have had additions to the family. 1 cockatiels and will soon have another 2 family members....
2 guinea pigs.
So in total we have 2 budgies, 2 cockatiels, 3 dogs, and 2 guinea pigs to come and 4 humans. We are turning into a zoo. We are converting a bookshelf into the guinea pig cage and then will make some toys and buy some things too.
How u doing that side.
Hugs awesome one 💕
@Avaray Hello,
Three doggies are quite a lot but then you have other pets as well! The ridgeback is called Cupcake and the third one I would need to see a picture but I am thinking maybe Fluffy if it fits. I am not sure why I am naming your pets despite them most likely already having names. In one country, forgot which one, it is illegal to have just one guinea pig, because they need a friend. I think that works for the humans as well
We are doing alright in the northern part, still a ‘European trapped in Canada’ but hopefully soon we can go see everyone. I am looking after my God Sister on Saturday night, my kind of, first official duty. Mommy is here umm… as a consultant… kind of! I have three exams in a couple of weeks which I am not worried about, well apart Dutch exam because spelling is difficult. Hopefully my brain will behave himself. How are you doing down in the South?
**huggles**
@AmalieAnne
Hi there xx
How did the first official 'babysitting" go, not sure how old the winkle is but we call it babysitting.
and fluffy although a cute name, umm.. He's a long legged fox terrior, with one eye, that can be very grumpy, and for some reason, maybe because he's highly strung, he's never really learnt to play properly. He likes to be stroked and rubbed but seems to be a "stiff type" dog not a cuddly one. He thinks he can fight anything I think. Maybe Rambo or something like that.. 😁
Totally agree on the guinea pig thing, I think with any animal there should at least be 2 so they have company, that's the kind thing to do, so definitely getting 2 guinea pigs. The bookshelf conversation is taking place into the cage and we have made and sewed tunnels and snuggle bags and beds for the little souls for when they arrive and have just ordered in a few guinea pig toys.
we are trying to get frames with mesh type inners made up and the bottom part extended for a bit of a play pen section.
We have gone back to lockdown 4 as of 28 June 21. Our president just announced it tonight.
How's the studying going for exam?
Hugs awesome Ames xxx
still have to extend the lower level into a play area and put up cage doors etc, so still work in progress.
@Avaray
Good Morning Lady Avaray,
It is so HOT here that now I know why Molly just jumps into the water, she can swim very well for a doggy. We have been going for walkies later on, when it is not so hot but I always have the Mommybeast attack me with sun block and I wear a hat of course. The thing I do not like about summer are bugs, if they could leave me alone that would be lovely My babysitting went ok, Button has just turned 1 years old a couple of weeks ago and she has a lot of energy. In the end she slept in my bed and that made her sleep. I did enjoy reading a bedtime story to her though, its ok to get a little mixed up, she does not mind and I do not get nervous.
When you said fox terroir, I was not thinking of him like that, perhaps more fox like. If I can find it, I will put the video of foxes laughing because it is so cute. But he is allowed to be grumpy, you said that he never learned to play so I am thinking you adopting him. Which is lovely and now he has two other friends to play with when he is not grumpy of course. He is very handsome as well. I really love the guinea pig cage, if you go buy one it costs money and is kind of boring but making your own. So, they have each other and lots of things to do in their cage. Once you get the mesh thing they can move in . I knew someone when we lived in the UK, their guinea pigs, rabbit and cat at night would all share the sleeping area of the cage. They got along, the cat I think played during the start of the night and then got tired so he went to see his friends for a little sleep.
You have gone back into lock down, which is pants. Here, I want people to be safe but I also need to eat fish and chips with granddad. So, I am hoping that soon we can travel without having to isolate for a month. I am even missing my annoying sister. We talk and write of course, also the whatsapp on mommy’s phone or computer. It is just not the same. My exams will be fine, I am just worried by the Dutch written exam. The Dutch put a j in everywhere because of sneakiness. Any who *hugs*. Best regard,
Emperor Ame
Oh found it:
https://youtu.be/nGRNlaZYATQ it is really funny
@AmalieAnne
very cute 😀💕
I'm sure you've heard that South Africa has gone nutty and scarier than normal and just wanted to let you know although a lot of violence and bad around. We have been ok staying in our house. We have been praying also for God's protection. So just wanted to say I'm ok incase you were maybe worried xx
Hugs Ames x
@Avaray
Hello Avaray (banana),
I asked mommy about what is going on in South Africa and hopefully things will settle down now or very soon. They arrested some politicians which is the same thing they did in Catalan, so hopefully there will be a peaceful outcome. Hopefully it will never come to this, but I trust Benji, Cupcake and Foxie’s bark and teeth to scary people off. I believe in the philosophy of Jean-Jacques Rousseau so I am less worried but be safe *hugs*

@Avaray
*huggles* I hope things are a bit better now because if they are not, I am coming over there and then all the naughty people will regret it. I will go full Spanish on them and I will also send Mama, they have been warned.
@AmalieAnne
Oooh thanks Ames, I think they heard your warning, things seem to be a lot quieter... Thank you 😁💕
It was a very bad time with so much destruction, I'm still kindof numb and tired.
But on a positive....
we found our latest family members. Layla and Chloe.
We will collect them on Saturday.
My daughter is so excited as it's an early birthday present.
see picture attached. Also sent picture of our cockatiels, Charlie and Annie.
Hugs my friend xx
@Avaray God they are behaving themselves, it was either me or the threat of Mama. Hopefully, things will be back to kind of normal now and then you will not be worrying, so you will start to feel better. I am going camping tomorrow just to let you know. I love the names of your birds and new family members Hopefully they both house that you made for them. Any who, *hugs* if I do not return assume I have been eaten by a bear
@AmalieAnne
I will sort any bear out that tries to eat you, you and your mom can sort out this lot in SA, I will sort the bear out, just tell it Ava will wax his hair into checker board square shapes and paint his toenails luminous pink, that should scare the Dickens out of him. 💕
I hope you enjoy your camping trip, i would like to do that some day when i feel brave enough. I thought I would love to get a camper van and travel to different spots and do whatever I would like to. It would be a big adventure.
Yes we fetch the 2 new members tomorrow.
Hugs awesome Ames xx
@Avaray
Hello,
I forgot to say I hope your daughter had a nice birthday; it was in my brain but it forgot to come out. I hope she had a nice birthday. Hopefully, the new family members are settling it and loving their new home. I am happy to report that I did not in fact get eaten by the bears, even the bugs knew I would be grumpy if they decided to bite me, so they did not. It was kind having the parents there for the first night though. I think we should make a deal; you deal with troublesome bears and I will sort out the naughty monkeys. If we go next year than you can be part of the parent night and be bear control master. I am the least outdoors person in the world so I just pretend to know what to do and see whatever everyone does. Plus my bestest friend tells me and makes sure I do not get lost. Maybe at some point you can get one of those American camper van things, the big ones and then travel around. I nice one though with a bathroom in it. Any who, I had my second jab for covid which was not nice but I am one step to seeing granny, granddad and mama. Be good *hugs*
Ame
@AmalieAnne
Oohh Avaray is cross
I just wrote you a long reply and pushed post and it gave me an error
"502 gateway"?? !!!
I will rewrite tomorrow as it's almost 23:00 here.
hugs Awesome Ames 💕
@Avaray
That is it *kicks it* owwwwwwwwwwwWW I normally write things in Word and then cut and paste just in case it does that to me. Plus it kind of helps with the spelling
@AmalieAnne
yes it needs a kick! Hope your toes are ok 😬😂
It's sounds like you had a great time camping with your friends. Proud of you! And I sent a message via the jungle beat for those bears and bugs to behave, I'm glad they listened.
Is it something you'll enjoy doing again? What type of things did you do. Did you sing around a campfire roasting marshmallows? That would have fun.
And definitely bathroom in the campervan, and a nice shower.
I'm glad you are a step closer to seeing your grandparents, I know you love and miss them. How you feeling after your last vaccination?
My daughter had a lovely birthday thanks xx and those guinea pigs that we called Layla and Chloe... Well we have since discovered that the petshop made an oops and we actually have a Jake and a Chloe instead... And some little ones on the way we think. Jake will need to go have a little operation so that we don't end up with more later. We didn't want to breed but it will be an adventure anyway. The problem is they are so cute!
So we now have 4 birds 2 guinea pigs with little ones we think on the way and 3 dogs. It's starting to feel iike a zoo 😂
Hugs amazing Ames,
@Avaray
Hello Lady Avaray,
I normally wear my shoes for kicking, not really at any other time but for kicking things you kind of need them. Camping was fun, I am the only one who did not get bitten by insects so that is good, so I think you must have scared the bears and the bugs. Good work! I do prefer standard marshmallows though; I am not sure why people would want to damage a perfectly good marshmallow! There were a lot of trees, I think this is the third time we have done it but first time with a parent’s night. So that is fun although mostly I am going to stick to the indoors. I doubt very much there are smugglers around in the middle of Canada but I kept my eye out for them. I am with you on the bathroom and a nice shower.
So here is Ame Logic (Trademark)… you are an Avaray, your daughter is well your baby, she then has/is the mommy of the guinea pigs Jake and Chloe, which changed gender and will soon have babies. Ergo… that makes you a great-grandmother. There is no other way of viewing the situation but that kind of makes you really old, sorry. Not sure what name you would go by, I never meet my great-grandparents sadly so I never named them. Still, little baby guinea pigs will be so cute after they get hair and open their eyes. Do you know when the due date is? You kind of do have a zoo and at your age, being a great-grandmother, you will need a lot of little sleeps.
As for the covid jab, that was ok but then mixed in I got a urinary tract infection just afterwards, I got medicine for that but it did not really work just made me feel sick and dizzy. On Friday we had an appointment with the doctor and she gave me another kind of antibiotic and that is working. I lost a lot of weight but yesterday I ate half a really big pizza and that is not normal. That means that I am feeling better although I still have to have drink the put-on weight milkshakes until I get back to a healthier weight. I am just happy to be feeling better. Any who **Stop germ spreading hugs**

@AmalieAnne
hey there cheeky chop.. Guess what...
I became a great granny today 😜
Meet the 2 babies
Very cute
@Avaray
Congratulations I think the parents on either side and then the babies are in the middle. I think they still will not be able to see, so exciting, when they are a little older then they see and go exploring. Great Granny is now you
@AmalieAnne
those are the 2 babies. They come out like mini grown up guinea pigs, hair teeth and eyes open and on day 3 they even start to nibble on food and still also drink from their mom
They cuddle by their mom too.
they are very cute.
the two top pictures were taken yesterday 3 days old babies and the 3 below are of the parents when she was still pregnant. The male is the orange and white one
@Avaray
They are cute, I checked and they become adults in 5 weeks and the mommies can have up to five litters in a year. So you might have to go to the vets kind of quick. They are born being able to eat food but will also suckle. Are they going to stay all together? I mean you have four now so it would be nice but if someone wanted to adopted the two babies then they could live together in a new home.
@AmalieAnne
Hey Ames x
The little ones have doubled in size in only 3 weeks. And are so cute. They run and hop around
Jake will be having his little operation next week then he can join the other one without the worries of having more babies.
My heart wants to keep the little ones... But then we need to see if they're male or female, and more operations and they eat so much vegetables. It's so funny when it's near feeding time and they hear people walking in the room (we have a few creaky floor boards) then they let out these high pitch screeches like demanding their food.
Hugs my little friend x
(Sorry imy mind is a bit weird at the moment, trying to make sense of things xx)
@Avaray
Hello Lady Avaray,
They are growing so fast I bet they have already grown passed teens. They are also kind of sneaky because they know when food is coming and trying to tell you to hurry up you silly humon. I like a little bit of sneaky though 😜. Hopefully they can stay together and Jake would have had his operation by now. Killer whales have really complex social systems which means that unlike most of the world of mammals the born males can stay with the family forever. There was a French scientist that observed that of the coast of Argentina that the male child had stayed with his family for more than 40 years. I do not think that he has written an update of that pod though. Sadly, I think that guinea pigs are not like that, more like the monarchs of Europe (see the history of the Romanov family but it will upset you). I am still angry at killer whales and the people that hurt the Romanov family but I do love guinea pigs. We went to a rescue centre place in the UK and they had blind guinea pigs which can sometimes happens when you get… monarchs of Europe syndrome (inbreeding). Any who, I hope they can stay together or the babies (now not babies) can find a new home together. You will have to give them your vegetables and I guess that means more chocolate for you to make up for it. Sometimes you have to make sacrifices like that. I hope that your mind is more together now and things are making a bit more sense. I find a good shake helps but also music and the grounding things. If you could lay down with some music or dance with some music it could help maybe. I do that and yes you can dance to classical music, just maybe not in public places. Hope you are feeling more together in any case *hugs*,
Ame
@Avaray
Avaray are you ok?
@Avaray
@AmalieAnne
Hey kiddo xx
Sorry life just went past very fast 👀.
Guinea pig babies got sold through the petshop where we bought our 2 from so I'm hoping they went to good homes and Jake is back with Chloe and it looks like his little op was successful... Big sigh of relief.
Jake was so funny the other day he was sitting on my shoulder, so we took photos of him, and it almost looked like he enhoyrd posing for his selfies. Such a funny dude.
Is it someone's birthday today... (Or in 2 days time?😬 I have it in 2 places on my calendar so I get confused 😂 but you have to be nice because this oldies brain has been on auto pilot and survival mode for a while and she turns 50 next year... Big gulp)
What did you do for your birthday, or going to do?
Sending many birthday hugs and lots of love for you.
How are you and your family keeping?
Ps ... Love the profile picture xx
@AmalieAnne
@AmalieAnne
@Avaray Thank you, it is my Birthday today (well a few hours ago, 6am Barcelona time) I got granny and granddad for my birthday and it is amazing they are here, missed them so much. The granddad pillow is being used well.
@AmalieAnne
I adjusted my calendar to the 29th (that's correct now I think 🙈)
That's the best present ever kiddo.
Hope your day was awesome
Hugs xx
@AmalieAnne
@Avaray Aww… *pets Jake*
@AmalieAnne
He is a cutie pie.
His favorite food is coriander and spinage.
@Avaray
Hello,
I read with distress that the pet shop might have not ensured that they two babies stayed together but I hope that they were. Being 50, well that is kind of getting old, I did not even think that you would be close to that. Not meaning any insult of course, with age comes many things, just I am not old enough to know them as yet. I do believe I have worn out my oldies now, so they should have the morning off. My family are all fine, some little concerns for Mama but otherwise they are behaving themselves. Hopefully, we can go stay with her for Christmas and that the virus will not get in the way like last year. My God Sister (Zusje) is also growing and becoming very smart, I have started to teach her some French but I fear that I am not the best teacher because I end up just confusing myself. And, we live in a part of Canada where very few people speak French. I am not what to make of Jake liking spinach, it is the evillest of things if you ask me, that is my prejudiced to spinach. I am reading Crime and Punishment for school and I do not think my brain will ever be the same again. Not in the best of ways, that is true. It feels very stuck in its own madness. I have learnt that Russians in the 19th century sweeten their tea by placing a sugar cube between their teeth. It is very odd to even think about doing such a thing! Hopefully some breakfast will clear my mind, then it I will feel more myself. URA as they used to say in Russia (I am told they do not say it now). Be good,
Ame
@AmalieAnne
Hey Ames
I hope your mama will keep well and that you get to see her for Christmas xx
I like spinage strangely enough, as a kid I didn't like most vegetables, but liked spinage.
It's nice if you boil it in a little bit of water, not too much, not over cook it and then when it's cooked drain the water out and put a little butter in and allow it to melt while stirring the spinage so it gets that buttery taste. Then you can add a little salt when it's on your plate ( only if necessary)
Yum.
Can I kick my husband, he is snoring and my sleeping pill hasn't kicked in yet... Aaaaaarg.
I'm sure I'm allowed, tell me I can pleeeeaaase
Love and hugs

@AmalieAnne
Hmmm..... I think your mom should write a letter requesting a different book if it's messing with your head in a bad way.... 👀
Also that thing with the sugar cube was really weird..... I wonder if it made people have bad teeth problems by doing that.... 😬😳❤
@AmalieAnne
I know the big 50 is a weird feeling.... It's like someone surely got my birthdate wrong 😂
When I tell people my age they say I don't look like I'm turning 50...
When I look at myself, which I don't like doing 😬, I also don't think I look 50, I certainly don't feel 50.... Although technically I'm not yet, and never have been so I wouldn't know what it feels like...😜😂
@Avaray
Hello Avaray,
Sadly, I think there might be something very wrong with you due to the spinach issue. I do not want to be mean but it has now been banned completely. I did not think that you were also almost 50 years old, it might explain your spinach problem though, just so you know there is help out there to help with your spinach eating. You and mommy are very close in age which seems a bit weird mostly because I have a fully grown-up adult brother and sister. There is a big gap between them and me though. I am officially an adult now but I do not feel like an adult, maybe it is the same thing with you being almost 50? What will you do for your 50th birthday? I think hot air balloon that would be nice.
We are *hopefully* are all going to be with Mama at Christmas, my sister is going there on Saturday (tomorrow for me) and she had her third covid booster on Sunday. I had mine on Tuesday and it made me feel kind of sick but much better now, just had half a day off school. I wanted to say happy Christmas to everyone and give people bags of candy. Then granny and granddad next week (please UK government do not mess it up). Then my brother will be there later because he is a doctor so he has to be late for everything, I think that is in the rule book for being a doctor, hopefully Christmas Eve (Italian government please do not mess it up). Then on Wednesday mommy and me are making our way there (please Canadian government do not mess it up). Of course, we will be allowed into Spain because no one will argue with Mama because they will lose! All the tests, paperwork and jabs are worth it, I just hope no more jabs for a few months.
As for kicking your husband, I am not sure what is allowed but I think kicking is not. If you can push him onto his side, I think that might help. Granny sometimes snores but granddad then will sleep somewhere else. When they were here, granddad slept in my bed on two occasions and I was in mommy’s bed. Which is kind of funny because he did not really fit in my bed, his feet poked out but I got him an extra blanket. It might be that your husband might have to do the gentleman thing and sleep somewhere else if possible. As for Russia, I read a book about the last few months of the Russian royal family which was sad and miserable, then I read Crime and Punishment, more Russian misery. I finished it though, to be honest I found Raskolnikov really annoying. Reading happier things now. I asked Molly’s mommy and she said they do not drink tea with the sugar between their teeth anymore. Any who, be good and if I do not speak to you before I hope you have a nice Christmas. I am really excited just to see everyone. Mis mejores deseos para Navidad y Año Nuevo,
Ame
@AmalieAnne
I think spinage is maybe a secret preservative that's why I don't look almost 50... But shhhh it's a family secret 😄
Yes doctors also seem to have bad handwriting, so that and being late must be something one must have to also qualify to be a doctor 😂
I hope all those countries do not mess up either so you can get to all the places and see everyone. I think I like your mom, being able to sort them out xx
I think my family is going to have a surprise party for me, well kindof a surprise because I sort of know that they are maybe doing one... I haven't had many parties in my life time and I don't like being the centre of attention but maybe I can try be more sociable... So a part of me is a little excited.... But a lot of me is nervous.
I sleep with an earplug in my ear and take sleeping pills so I eventually fall asleep. The problem with snoring people they tend to fall asleep very quickly, whereas I seem to stay awake to all hours unless I take a sleeping pill.
I'll try not kick him, Benji also snores, he sleeps in my room still. But his snoring doesn't seem to irritate me as much 😂
I once threw a spoonful of pudding at my husband, landed on his face... I'll tell you that story another time, he truely did deserve it, really he did... It was actually quite funny.
(I'm actually not a violent person, I even used to save drowning ants when I was young and I still rescue drowning bugs if I see them, eish I sound nutty 😂
Any how dear Ames look after yourself kiddo
And
Beste wense vir Kersfees en NuwejaarHugs 💕@Avaray
Hello,
I think that spinach in South Africa is different to that in Canada and Europe because here it tastes like a monkey’s bottom. If you went and found a monkey, you could taste what it is like hehe... I worked out that when I am 36, you will be 100 years old. You will be grumpy being that old, I can tell but you still have awhile before you get there. I like the idea of a surprise party but you kind of knowing it. I hope it is really big and it really is your day (I know being a mommy means you are always doing that) but should be treated to a very special party. I do not like being the centre of attention either but if you are going to be 50 then, sorry it kind means that you have to be.
As for the snoring, you have two of them, I think you might have to make them sleep outside. They can cuddle each other, so it should be fine 😂 Then you get your own room YaY then you can have some fairy lights, I really like them, you can get the USB ones. They costed only $4 Canadian for two really long strips of lights. And lots of pillows, you can make a list yourself but you get the idea *Smile* Then you should be able to sleep much better, I normally do not have problems with sleeping. But at the moment I have a granddad pillow and a little jetlag, so I am falling asleep often. You will need to tell me why you threw pudding though. You better hope that has not affected your naughty or nice chances.
Just to let you know I can wish you happy birthday in Dutch when it is your birthday, it is a really long and difficult spelling, I will give it ago. Right now, we are all in Spain and just waiting for my brother who is on the morning flight, so should be here around 9am or there will be trouble (9am Christmas Eve). Doctors weirdly are not really good planners or have good handwriting. Mama can be scary but this morning I had that feeling when I am not in my body and I cannot control it, so mommy taught mama how to get my body working again. Starting with my toes and ending up with my hair, then a good shake. It is always handy to have someone around that can help me with that horrible feeling.
Any who, I might take granddad for walkies later in order to get out of helping with dinner, fish and those prawns (right word).. sea food is yucky. I hope you have a nice Christmas *hugs*
**Merry Christmas***
Ame
@AmalieAnne
I hear you on thr sea food stuff not my favorite...., and I don't even want to know how you lnow that spinach tastes like a monkey's agterwereld 😂👀
You can usally get me to smile kiddo xx
Hmm I like the fairy light, own bedroom thing.... Maybe Benji and hubby can snuggle outside 😆
Hope your brother arrived safely.
What do you think triggered the out of body feeling... Glad your mom was there to help.
Trauma is a horrid thing, sneaks up on one when you're not especting it. Sorry..... Hugs.
I think I would like your grandpa, he sounds like a kind soul xx
If I have a party that means I would have to entertain and talk to people.... I'm not too good at that, kind of an introvert.
I don't think I can picture myself been 100... Eish that is old....
Anyhow Ames, I hope you will have a wonderful Christmas and time with family.
Lots of love and hugs
💕
@Avaray
Hello Smelly,
Thought I would start off strong, to grab your attention😜 every time I think about you being 50, I see Alice in Wonderland, so maybe a tea party. So, you do not have to be too fancy but a few tables, with tea and sandwiches (vodka for the Russian guests of course, as is tradition). Then you could go to each table and talk to smaller groups of people, would that be better? I also do not do well in large groups but it is your birthday so it has to happen, sorry! Also, if you do not want to be very short when you are 100 years old take fewer baths. It will shrink you after 100 years. Say the following in a New York accent:
Eish, who do I have to kill around here to get some pastrami!
Welcome to my brain😜 The elders of a long time ago officially wrote that spinach tastes like a monkey’s bottom. It is in Latin and I am guessing someone lost in some sort of game and then had to do it. It is most certainly in the records of history, then something weird happened, people started to like it again, no one knows why. Maybe Aliens! As for granddad he is a very kind soul and an excellent pillow, he also likes seafood. I do not like the eyes looking at me or the texture. My brother did make it here, so that was really good and he likes seafood. Starting to think they were adopted or something!
I hope you had a nice Christmas as well? Hopefully, your husband got a tent for Christmas so he can sleep in the garden and cuddle Benji. Then you will get a good nice rest. I am not sure what caused the out of body feeling maybe it was just because there were lots of people and things happening. Still, now that mommy has told mama how to help, she is there if I need her. I have been worried about mama but she seems ok and I think seeing everyone has helped or it feels better being with her in person. Any who, have a lovely New Year things. *hugs*

@AmalieAnne
I had a high temperature when I wrote this, it is perhaps more abstract than needs to be
The Real Ending
Hello, is the standard welcome but I’m sure that what comes after that are many questions which I can answer in time. I know you might be fearful since I stand in front of you, not as a biological entity nor a technological one. You might say that I am here, or rather it is possible for me to be here due to thought or to be more precise pure energy. Shall we start again? Welcome to 4,745 and it is almost Christmas, and yes, that is correct we are now in the 48th century perhaps you can start to understand why this is the real ending. It might seem unreal, trust me if I were a biological or technological entity, I would slap you so at least you would know that you are not dreaming. My name is Doctor Apgar although that is a name that I picked. The real Doctor Apgar helped children to live. In essence, she gave newborn babies a chance at living, a chance at loving, a chance to become themselves. Hopefully, the name, in time, will seem fitting. Do you know I am here on the chance that you might be here rather than a certainty that you would be? No one expected you too ever be here. We are here very much alone, by ourselves in a universe that will suddenly turn itself off. The stars themselves will stop illuminating the skies. It should not scare you, but across our universe, there are but a handful of species, billions of light-years apart, that once had a chance to be here. Rather, here you stand. And, in a real sense, they are here, but, in another sense, or viewpoint, the one that you will know and trust, you are still alone.
You are the last of what you know to be human. Your name is not important, but the reason why you are is that the stronghold that was once life, as you know it, is ending. Again, this should not scare you, but there are always rules. Some rules can be bent somewhat, never broken, and perhaps you should not trust them either. Would you like a brief history of time or just than explanation of what is happening to you now? You see, it’s that sort of thinking which will be your undoing. If you consider yourself alone, or a voice in a crowd of millions, then you are wrong from your perspective, you are very much alone. Apart from me, I am here waiting, as I will always be and always have been. It might seem that the things I say to you are contradictions, but that is the challenge. It is completely up to you what happens next. If I am being honest, I cannot tell you the challenge, but what awaits you is and has already happened. It’s not a trick, it is a choice which by design you fail, unless you are meant to fail in which case you have already faced the challenged. Let’s not be any more confusing because you have it or you do not. My name is Doctor Apgar and as I have already said, my job is to give you the chance to become yourself.
No, I am not God or at least I hope I am not, that would be very concerning since I tend to spend my time here just waiting. Careful though, the universe’s expiration is very near, soon, as you humans say, the lights will turn off and the curtains will close. So many calculations and deductions thought it would be billions of years, but no, it is today. I hoped, or it was hoped, tenses are so confusing to me, that it would be just more than you. Then again, it was assumed either you would or would not make it here. I used to be a human as well; it was a long time ago; the experience felt limiting. The physical existence was disturbing, it could be enjoyable but as energy, truly existing free from such burdens of biology, now that is worthier. So here is the choice. I know what has happened or again from your viewpoint will happen. You can follow my confusing advice or you can decide to ignore me. There is perhaps one important thing you should know; I am going to lie but only once and it will be a distant lie. Rather, a half-truth because to be honest, what you do has to be up to you. Here is your choice, you can stand here and watch the last moments of what you know or you can surrender to my authority. I am going to watch the universe rip apart then fold in on itself, you can watch it with me. Can you live the last moments knowing that your boundaries are already written or can you see the other possibilities?
I said that we had time to answer all of your questions, that was the lie or perhaps not. Something bothers me. Did the children that the real Doctor Apgar helped to live, fear the end of their own existence? Perhaps that is something people learn rather than something that people are born with. To be honest, it has been so long since I were a human, I am not sure if I can remember. I’ve just told you that the universe and all the things you know are about to end, the very thing you are will end moments just before it. You, in a very real sense, should be fearful even perhaps terrified, but if I have to remind you again, what happens next will always be your choice. There is nothing to be done about it, but that is all I can say about the challenge you are about to face. I hope that what I have said will have not shattered too many of your illusions. Will you be with me and watch all things end? It will be beautiful that I can promise at least. I am not Doctor Apgar. The lie is that I’ve never even been human, but you do know me; you know me very well. The one thing that is not a lie is something I once heard; when there is infinity everything that could happen will happen. The only problem is humans have never been any good at knowing infinity. My existence has but one goal and it is very simple, to end. The choice is, of course, yours. It always has been.
The Attack of Freedoms
I say this in a position of real privilege and a person who has spent more than 8 months trying to define freedom, to only find it was in front of me. Freedom is not the right to do something, but to be free from those others who believe they have the right to control, own and determine your body and thoughts. The history of the suffragettes is one that is not about asking for control of their own body and thoughts, it is a history of it being taken. Sadly, our fellow humans across the world are in danger, there are girls & women who are not allowed an education. There are girls & women who are seen as objects to which are used as if they were not sentient or capable. In North America and Europe, like many other places in the world, girls & women are being told they do not have the right to control themselves, in absolute terms, and to determine what happens to their own bodies. I assure you it belongs to them, in complete and unforgiving terms. The history of the suffragettes is not a history that is closed.
I do not care what your rights are, but I care that your rights should never overrule the rights of others to be free. I demand the right to be free from fear, the right to be free from violence and the right to be free from other’s religions. I demand them not only for myself, but for every one of my fellow humans. If you are an adult and you wish to submit yourself to any religion, that is your choice, and it is one that I might never agree with, but I must learn to respect your decision. However much I disagree with Benjamin Franklin on his religious beliefs, I respect that he viewed it simply that one’s own religion must make the world a more enlightened and civilized place. The world is not made more enlightened or civilized by punishing those that teach girls to read, those aggressors that blame girls & women for their violent acts and certainly it is not made more civilized by the state or church to be the owner of every womb.
Here are our demands, if you do not allow us to be free from your oppression, religion or frankly disgusting ideals that tell us what to do with our bodies and minds, the message is clear. And it should be said loud, Fuck you. It is not an intelligible position to use such language, and it is not acceptable to use violence. We all must be defined by who we want to be, not dictated by the actions of others. I declare here that it is my belief violence is wrong and it is not part of being me that I want. No matter the situation, if I succumb to violence, that must be seen as a failure of myself. I would like to define myself as compassionate, passionate and someone who does their best. I have failed in the past in my non-violence since I knew nothing more than that in my mind as a child and perhaps, I will fail tomorrow despite almost being an adult. Still, the power is that I can define myself and learn from experience. It seems so pathetic that 1st century beliefs and ideals on girls & women persist today. So, there is no other debate or compromise, and there is no other answer than fuck you. Let’s make something important it is clear that hate can destroy.
Hate is a powerful emotion; it is one that can destroy both you and the object of hate. So, this is my intention to challenge myself as I hope I always have. To come to understand those other humans who do not look like me, who do not sound like me and whose culture differs greatly from my own. I will fail, but as history shows us, a history half understood and with many contradictions, if you meet those that are different from you then your ability to hate them is rendered less harmful. While in your own mind you can have the hate within it, after all, it is natural to us all, we must be enlightened or civilized enough to keep away from such attitudes about things which do not belong to you. If your beliefs truly fear the education of girls & women, that they belong to an owner or that they in part should be nothing more than akin to womb slavery. Then this is the challenge to that part of yourself, it is a pathetic part of you and knowing that is a line you must not cross is important. As the late Christopher Hitchens said, your religion is your toy, I do not wish to play with it, keep it to yourself.
As the psychologist Gordon Allport wrote: “People who are aware of, and ashamed of, their prejudices are well on [the] road to eliminating them”. I feel anger towards those that would subvert and seek to control the bodies and minds of girls & women. If you agree with my position, then it is not beaten with hate towards those that disagree with us. We must get to know them and them to know us. To know our limits and what is completely unacceptable to us, to face their attitudes with our ability to show our compassionate and passion about how we see the world differently. Once they are faced with us achieving things their minds cannot begin to understand, we can with hope, start the process of challenging them. It is our duty to be the people that we define ourselves to be, not to define ourselves as they wish or force us to be seen. This is our challenge, and it is a difficult challenge to be sure.
As the suffragettes did across the world, both in the past and today, we must demand things to be different. They can be different, and I am very sure of that. To return to my privileged position, it has never been a better time to be me. I have the choice to reject the religions I happened to have been born into and to do so without consequence or fear. I have access to an education, but there are those that wish to claim parts of me in servitude. This is my body and I am the one who decides what happens to it. There is no discussion or compromise. It belongs to me and I demand this be true for every girl & woman across the world. We demand the freedom from fear, freedom from violence and the absolute right to be free from your religion. This is no other answer than fuck you, this is not a position of which any dispute can be allowed. However, I must also respect the choices adults have made in regard to their own religious belief. If you as an adult submit yourself to a, any religion [or the other], since they all treat girls & women as less than equal*, that is your right. But that has to be a decision made free from harmful consequences and fear. If you are a parent, it is your duty to make that right known to your child, as it has been to me.
The suffragettes faced violence and, in some cases, even found death, both in the past and today, they pay the price so that I could write this. It is a debt that I owe now; it is also not over, and to the best of my abilities; I will stand up and declare the rights girls & women have. Not what they should have but do have. Freedom must be won; our bodies and minds belong to us and if you take them, then you should fear your own shame. No group of people, no government, no religion or regime has the right to take what is ours. We demand to be free not only for ourselves, but for each other, this is the good fight and I believe in my heart that the suffragettes will rise again to remind the world this is what is demanded. Shame on those who dare to think to take it from us, shame on who you are if you dare to think in such a way.
* There are some out there, albeit historically to the best of my knowledge.
** N.B. You can be a suffragette regardless of your gender
