What Do I Need?
One wayll to connect with our inner needs and to warm our hearts is to ask ourselves:
- What do I need?
Another question to ask when we are relating to others is:
- What do they need?

I think both questions are very important to reflect on our well-being but also to understand what others need in the moment. Sometimes people react in ways we cannot understand because they lack something, it might just be a kind word, so asking yourself what they need can help a lot to understand them.
@soulsings Agreed and a balance between both of them is important as well <3
@soulsings
This is a good set of questions, and I would have to respond differently only because of my own issues.
I recently came across a book with those same questions, and I shared it with my Therapist.
I could not answer those two questions because I honestly did not know. Things I felt I needed were not things anybody could give me, example (inter peace, calming my anxiety.........
So I know all of us are different because of our conditions. Just me😊
@WorkingitThrough2 What you wrote here is very relatable. I was just thinking this myself when I saw this post. "What do I need?" I honestly don't know.
@mytwistedsoul I know! I know! You need a giant tiny hug ❤
@Tinywhisper11 Tiny! ☺️ You're back! Aww thank you so much!
@mytwistedsoul
@Tinywhisper11
🤨 why is it posting twice? 🙄
@mytwistedsoul 😂😂😂😂😂😂😂 internet troubles still???
It's because your so nice you post things twice😁
@Tinywhisper11 Yeah I'm not sure what's going on 😕 It was lagging and I'm getting weird error codes popping up. Technology is great until it doesn't work right 😬
@WorkingitThrough2 I agree with you that no one can give us inner peace. I did not intend that someone else would give us the things we need, but that we would start searching for a way to find it, create it or nurture it.
Please do not give up because it is not immediately visible. Keep searching.
@soulsings
Thanks for your response, you are right those are things we have to fine❤️😊
@WorkingitThrough2 they probably sell inner peace on Amazon😂😂
@soulsings what I need is some robot body parts😁
What others need. I guess the same as everyone, patients, love, friendship and a smile ❤
@Tinywhisper11 here's hoping you become the next bionic wonder woman.
@soulsings yaaaay! I'm sure I will be bionic, but not wonder woman I'm blanket woman😁
@soulsings I discovered that I spend a great deal of time worrying about what other people need, and when I think about what I need it’s if I have time after taking care of everything else. I discovered that people I think love me aren’t concerned about what I need much at all. It’s inconvenient. I have to try really hard to think about someone I love being inconvenient.
What I need: really just to feel like I matter to the people in my life. I need to feel wanted, loved, and cared for.
What others need: probably the same things. I like to help people feel important in these ways. It makes me feel better sometimes if I can give the things I desire most.
@PiecesOfWhoeverIWas thanks for this post. I feel like givers in this world are not as plentiful as takers but when I have the attitude of giving without expectations then I feel better giving than I would only worrying about myself.
There are times when I can only give so much and need to fill my tank. I do not always find someone to do that. Sometimes I have to do what is needed to restore my sense of well being..
@soulsings You’re right. I think we’re all supposed to try to take care of ourselves the best of our ability, and if we find people who can support and cheer us on then we’re really lucky. It’s ok to rely on people, but the trouble starts when we get angry when they can’t do everything we think they should.
