3 Key Things!
Please post here 3 key things you have done to help move 7 Cups forward. I will be doing this on a daily basis. Feel free to do it daily, weekly, or monthly. Right now we've got thousands of people doing a lot of work on the site, but we don't have a clear way of being able to support one another. The goal of this thread is to help all of us see all the good work that is going on. Please ask any questions or share thoughts!
1. Validated a member's concerns and feelings about a not so supportive listener
2. Sought out emotional support in one of the chatrooms
3. Embraced being a member and a part of the community. You don't need to be in a listener role to contribute to the 7 cups community.
@PerrythePlatypus
I absolutely agree! You don't need to be on your listener account or have one to be a supportive presence. The work members do is just as important. Thank you for caring for our members
1. I was a good listener
2. I was honest about hurt feelings with my partner
3. I joined 7 cups

Hello. My latest 3+ things to support our Community since last posting. This is like a journal entry for me
- I created a summary of GROWTH PATH resources for new Members based on GlenM's link in his recent posting as I mentioned in my reply above.
- I private messaged 4 new Members who I noticed have problems I cover but I was unable to chat with at the time and they got picked up by other Listeners.
- I got a reply from one and will be setting up a chat based on their suggested time and day.
- I updated and refined my profile with GROWTH PATH and 7Cups Resources information for Member reference.
- I made several forum postings suggesting new chat buttons in addition to the button, per feedback requested..
- I re-read the new forum rules and will be very very careful about what I post in forums from now on.
- I'm refining a personal "process control chart" spread sheet that I might share if it seems appropriate. It's a rolling 2 week chart that is color coded so it creates great visibility when I'm going out of control in key things I need to do to ensure good self-care.
- I'm refining a personal daily time slot spread sheet that is color coded and I use to stay mindful of what I'm doing throughout the day. I set my intention/goal and then list the result. That way I see feedback. I color code it to match the Covey/Eisenhower Time Management Matrix quadrants so I can see if I'm doing things I should be doing or things I should be avoiding. I'll share if it seems appropriate.
@7motivation
Thanks for reaching out to our members that are in need! *high fives*
@7motivation i am sooo interested in both of your spreadsheets! Can I see them?
I distracted from my own brain with headphones and a chore I threw myself into.
@sensibleSkies8757
Sometimes distractions are needed. Every once in a while we need a temporary break
3 key things
1. Read and replied to forum posts
2. Helped in the LSR (wasn't there for so long, really just more of greeter and cheerleader, everyone was taken care of). Responded to pm's
3. Researched a neurological disorder in an effort to better help a member. Researched a couple of links that are given in the LSR in an effort to help listeners, to help their members. They are related to off site. Feeling confident that I understand fully and I too will have the confidence now to lay down these links in the LSR or use them as tools to help members of my own.
@SparkyGizmo nice work Sparky. Thank you
Yesterday:
1) Check-in call with Tazzie
2) Community Call
3) Call with Heather
