It can be scary to confront people because....
Most people are butthead
People become agressive if we confront them
Because they may not care after all, and you probably won't be able to forgive them for that.
I have a hard time confronting people because I'm scared of how they'll react and I don't want to be disliked. I don't know what they'll do and if they will snap at me.
you are scared to do it because it can cause more problems and you don't want that
because you don't know how they will take it
My crush told me he doesn't want me anymore when i confronted him....
...they might disagree with you and that will make you a hater.
You never know what kind of reaction you will get, and most of the time it's the mean and awful things people say are the ones that stick for months.
"Look at you! You don't have any reason to be depressed!"
"You don't need therapy, you just need a holiday!"
"Why didn't you do something if it has effected you to this extent??" (when they asked me why I'm suffering from major depression and anxiety)
"You should learn how to manage your stress." (said the guy who gave me anxiety attacks with last minute jobs and assignments on a daily basis)

I am so sorry that you have to hear those things. Some people can be so non understanding and even rude. They quickly change attitude when they have to face similar challenges and got to walk in similar shoes.

@SailingFox
Fox, I really hope that there will be a time for you that these comments will not hurt you that much anymore <3
@amiablePeace77 I hope so too 😢 😘❤️
@SailingFox
i can relate to a lot of those myself! Its hard to take comments from people who dont know what you are going through or who think they do.
@FoxtrotJuliette08 so true! I know the speculations made of people with mental illness comes out of ignorance but it doesnt mean it hurts any less. A friend who also suffers from the same conditions as me said they wont understand it unless they themselves are inflicted with it, and I think shes right :(
@SailingFox
Absolutely. I find it hard with my family saying things like get over it or what are you so stressed about.
It can be scary to confront people because we might be unsure if it's the right thing to do.
