Truth or lies, excuses or reasons, it's always going to hurt.

Because all I hear is words, words, words, followed by actions that never back up those words, and people are stupid.

@Magrathea95 Yes, this goes under my list of things I wish I had been told when I was a child. "Pay attention to what people do more than what they say". Choose people who do what they say they are going to do OR who's actions mirror their words.

Ultimately people are just looking out for themselves only - humans are just animals and very few rise above animal instincts.

Christianity is about rising above those animal instincts, but unfortunately these teachings are being rejected these days. With things like the law of attraction, people are being told it's ok to be completely self centered.

Their emotional reaction can vary and being someone living with PTSD I don

Friendlypanda23 July 20th, 2018

Because there are multiple variables of life where each of them adds complexity of its own on confronting people. It can be fear of getting judged or any truth that people don't want to hear and the list goes on and on. But each of them can be conquered using right approach. So my friend. identify the variable and it's requisite approach, then it's all a matter of courage. So, happy confronting then :) .

mountainfairy345 July 20th, 2018

I expect them to be hostile with me. I try to say what I think they want to hear.

Emmur July 20th, 2018

I become afraid of confronting people because most of the time it causes arguments with hurtful words and sometimes actions. My anxiety and bad self-talk also kick in which is why I try to stay quiet most of the time or approach situations carefully. Be safe everyone! <3

It is scary for me to confront people because I'm scared of being embarrassed and being made fun of.
