Drained...

loveOcean May 25th, 2021

When you love someone who put the blames on you in every argument, made you doubt yourself more and more, trained you to say "I'm sorry".... Drained...

This really doesn't sound good. Do you feel like it's always your fault? It must be frustrating when your partner always blames you and you need to say sorry. Maybe try to tell your partner that you can't handle it anymore and that your partner should think about if not someone else is doing something wrong. I know this feeling, I doubt myself so much, that I didn't knew what reality was if anything I'm saying is even true. It helped me thinking about the scenario step by step in my head thinking to myself what I did and what I clearly didn't

Yeah... I'm losing sense of reality. Always ended up me seeing what I did or said wrong. I did think I did wrong... perhaps he's right. Perhaps I'm too sensitive, I'm too demanding and immature...

I feel the same way when I try to discuss my partner's actions with him. I am willing to admit anything I do wrong but he turns everything he does on me.

Hi @loveOcean,

not sure, I'm not an expert, and your message is rather short. But if your friend is trying to make you doubt yourself, then I go like, "hmm, I could be wrong but feels like gaslighting to me". It might help if you google on "gaslighting", and see if it resonates.

Take care.

I wouldn't call him gaslighter... he does care a lot and try a lot to be patient with me... maybe it's better to be by myself so I won't burden anyone because he's righr, I cry easily, I'm too demanding and immature for my age... but I too wish to not being at fault all the time, to feel that I'm fine, I'm good enough. Thanks for the reply
