The biggest change in your life due to a new relation is.
Hi friends,
Everyone must have some good and bad expeiences in a relationship. For some the relationship may last long while for the others it might end as fast as it starts. But every relation teaches you something and brings in some change in your life which latter on becomes a memorable memory. This is the place to share such happy/sad memory. By doing so you make an effort to cherish your good memory and to throw away your bad memory. So speak up friends.
For me the biggest change happened after i had my first (and only) break-up, when i understood that I need to focus on life more than love. It was hard but i learnt the art-of-living. :P
Waiting for ma
For me the relationship which changed my life was my Friendship. I was a low performer and had to struggle a lot to even clear my classs tests. My friends guided me everytime and in due course they gave me enough support and mmoral courage so that i started to believe in my own strength and now i clear my exams so easily.They taught me the value of hardwork and perseverance :)
@tranquilForever68
The biggest change that I experienced was after the breakup between my ex boyfriend and I. I realized that I needed to be more independent and focus on myself rather than looking for someone to fulfill my happiness.
@cheerfulDay083 Thats needed. Self-love and self-care cant be given up :) I hope you are happy with how ur life is at present :)
@cheerfulDay083 - relatable indeed. In fact I am experiencing the same while being in a relationship. Some of us really tend to focus on our partner and eventually we loose our ultimate focus which is us. What you said is indeed an eye opener.
It happened after my breakup, when iunderstood that i need to value myself more than anyone else first. Self-Worth is more important than valuing others.
Tagging some amazing buddies to share their experiences and stories.

The biggest change in my life that ever happened thanks to or at least hand-in-hand with a relationship was when I was dating a girl one year younger than me. We were both in highschool and she had just come out of a pretty bad relationship eith a guy we both hated. I had loved her for years and was ecstatic to be with her. It was all kinds of rushed and rocky, but the glue holding us together was driving on Wednesdays. We'd talk about anything we had to then, in the privacy of her car. Somwtimws I'd get home well beyond when I was supposed to just because we soent so much time talking or ranting or debating or telling old stories. It's still my favorite part about having been hers. Plus If ever got really riled up about something, she always found it kinda funny, and at the time I was mad that she thought my feelings were funny, but I guess I realized I was kind of amusing when I was mad about something.
@FunnyDucky that was a sweet part of your relationshio Ducky. I appreciate you for sharing it with us.
Thank you π
@ASilentObserver thanks for the tag!
The biggest change in your life due to a new relation is:
that i learned to love my life and myself more.
@AveryLove I am glad you embraced it Avery. We are proud of who you are. π
Wonderful question!
The biggest change in my life due to a relationship was that I realised how much important it is to be ready first. My first and only relationship taught me a lot many things! I now know that love isn't exclusive to just romantic relationships. It's everything. My break up left me question so many things in life but now I understand that needing somebody isn't necessary. It's okay to not want to be in a relationship for the sake of being in one. I am focusing more on myself and I know if someday love comes across, I will be ready for it, hopefully. I don't try to rush things now.
@Moana22 Good one Moana and I agree with you. I am sure you will meet someone who will love and care for who you are.
Thank you for sharing it with us. π
@tranquilForever68 my biggest change was seeing my boyfriend of two and half years receive a three year prison sentence. he decided that three years apart would be too much of a strain on our relationship and didn't want to tarnish all the happy memories we had together so we agreed to go our separate ways. it was the most painful break up i've ever experienced though.
to add to this, i think it taught me that even the best of relationships can come to a sudden end & that sometimes we can become so wrapped up in someone else that we don't know how to feel when that person is suddenly not there anymore.
@rationalHemlock4573 I am sorry to hear iy Hemlock. I can understand how hard it was for ya. π
@ASilentObserver thank you & yes, it was hard. i don't think i would wish that situation on anyone.
My last relationship was a bittersweet one but what I loved the most was how I was in that. It helped me realize what I can be and it changed my thinking, hence changed my life. I am determined now to be that person, irrespective of being in a relationship or not.
@plumBeechwood7549 I am glad you found it Plum. Our best wishes and support with you.
Thank you for sharing it with us. π
Probably becoming more guarded now and LESS trusting and likely to take anyones word for it when they give compliments, even when theyre based on character (and not shallow compliments based only on shallow beauty) - especially very EARLY in a friendship because it takes time for them to develop. β°
I dont really like to have to close myself off to such an extreme but after so many failed friendships relationships that have burned a void inside me, it seems that to quote Sam Smith (Way too Good At Goodbye), every time I open up, it hurts. π
@niceDaisy36 β> check out this thread, its a doozy! π
@ASilentObserver β> thank you so much for bringing back this thread! ππ

Thanks Abby, for the tag.
I have had many friendships, i mean never a best friend but still so-called friends whom i thought were good as i trusted them.Yet somehow in due course of time those were a history for me as they alienated me. The biggest change in my life due to all these fallen friendship is that, i started to love and embrace myself.I stopped running for friends, yet let time decide who will be my friends so that i'll have stable friendship based on mutual trust.Back then, I used to feel bad when i moved to new schools and the previous friendships just paused.Yet am so glad that those hard times passed and now i have some good people and am grateful to them for the stable friendship.
@niceDaisy36 true Daisy and I appreciate how you embraced it.
Thank you for sharing your experience with us. π It is always nice to hear from ya.
Thank you
@ASilentObserver
Thank you for replying. Actually am using phone now while always i use computer. So am losing some notifications and then unable to get them. So somehow i guess i missed ur forum post reply notification too.
Thanks again. Take careπ
@niceDaisy36
That's the thing ... it's too tiring to be chasing after anyone, and that makes me exhausted on all levels. It's like Charlie Brown running to kick the football and Lucy yanking it away at the last second. Sometimes, those who are being fake toss compliments out there so that I'll chase them, but yank any prospect of starting a meaningful friendship away at the last second.
@AbbyHarris1976
Yes, chassing after anyone or one sided friendship is really hurting. And specily hurts when those so called friends try to play conspiracies against us. I have faced times when people whom i helped and trusted tried to pull be down. Yet am frateful for having some good friends in my life that is strengthened by mutual affection and mutual trustπ.
@AbbyHarris1976 I hear you Abby and can relate to you.
We appreciate you for who you are and glad to have you with us here.
Sending hugs π
