Today I'm grateful for...
Whenever we're plagued by overwhelming thoughts and emotions, it can be difficult to have gratitude. So, let's stop and take a second to reflect on what we're grateful for, using this prompt.
Today I'm grateful for having sustenance and the privilege to choose what I want to eat or drink.

...for not living in Haiti right now. (Or at any other time in my life)
Today I'm grateful for a blue sky and for people who make threads like this in the community to keep others connected! 🙏

I am grateful for an apartment and having a wife who has a good job to financially support us.
Also grateful for my parents and extended family and friends who can get together for fun lunches and dinners at Chinese restaurants and other ethnic style cuisine.
I am grateful for my education and all the jobs I have (had).
Grateful for being able to do architectural art.
Grateful for a government-funded, good medical system. Although it would be nice if there were government health plans for vision as well as dental.
Grateful for having had the opportunity to get my private glider pilot's license (although it has expired a long time ago due to me coming down with a health issue that prohibits me from flying solo.)
Glad for my (extensive) education.
Thank you for Abba Father God, Jesus and Holy Spirit.
Amen.

I feel grateful for God giving me so many blessings and opportunities in life and supporting me in times I was so afriaid. When a girl I studied with died she was thanking God that she had cancer of the lungs because she said she felt closer to God through the cancer. She said it opened many opportunities to her because her family allowed her to do things she would not be able to do otherwise. When I heard that she died I was sad by realised that we do not always notice the blessings we have daily in our lives and the things that we are think are negative and can be blessings. I now see life itself as a big blessing and opportunity that we often do not think about. The air we breath, fulfilling our goals...and all the abilities that we have and can develop. So I guess I have a daily gratitude for God, being created and having these opportunities
@quietlistener2023 My condolences to you on your friend's passing. It's rare to see someone with a condition like cancer maintain a positive and grateful mindset. However, it's inspiring to know that she thought and felt that way. I'm happy to know that the experience made you came to that realisation. It's made me reflect on my life and open my mind towards God's blessings as well. So thank you so much for sharing!🤍

Thank you so much for your condolences. Yes actually I think that out of all the people in life at the moment this girl remains my greatest teacher and inspiration without having said as much as others perhaps. For this reason when she died I felt sad that she could not complete her goal to become a religious teacher. However, I thought that by passing on her example and what she taught myself and others I am helping her to fulfil her goal and she can be the teacher she wanted to be without actually being here. She left a good example and I hope this example can help others such as yourself. Thank you for your support
@hopefulDew435 welcome
I am grateful to have been born & raised in a modern nation (the US) where science is researched, developed & taught, & where we can learn the truth because of that. Things could be way worse: we could all be fumbling in the mental darkness of some creation myth, or in a country with an official clergy or party where expression of independent thoughts (& any religion other than the gov't-mandated one) are prohibited. Such a terrible state of affairs is still true in several countries today--outside the West.
