A discussion on integrity

...See more In a recent post when replying to a member regarding integrity. I mentioned or discussed what integrity means to me. Integrity to me is important because you can have a “mission” so to speak or code that you uphold and embrace. I uphold integrity to a very high standard, now in my adult life. As for when I was younger, it was not an easy thing for me to do. I did not know what integrity was or what it looked like. I did not know how I even was as a person at that age. It took me to become older to realize what integrity was and consisted of. I would say that this was contributed to being able to grow and obtain life experiences. I was able to now analyze and determine what integrity means to me. I can now say that I have integrity and I will not and will allow myself to do. In the post, a fellow listener posed two questions and I answered with the following responses: “Integrity means to me not allowing external factors dictate or rule, determine how you are or change or alter you as a human being. Always remaining true to your beliefs and core values.” “We can strengthen our integrity as people and as listeners by obtaining future trainings to increase our skill and knowledge, as well as remain open and honest with yourself to uphold the integrity.”  To end my post, I feel that integrity is key and ultimately your guide for life and “blueprint” on how to navigate your life; how you conduct yourself and your values.    Tamar J.

...See more Part 2 What skills is your foundation made of and how do they apply to your life? I also believe that Critical Thinking is important, as for critical thinking helps with making informed decisions, informed decision making, and also helps with improving one’s thought process. I like to uphold this skill by utilizing in my daily life, as I like to make informed decisions, and when in situations that require this skill. I also like to utilize critical thinking when the situation is less complex, as I like to maintain increasing this skill. I also like uphold complexity awareness in my daily life being aware of situations and people around. This can be by examining and/or eliminating people around me and situations that are not conducive for me. For example, work, having a negative work environment that is not conducive for my mental health, although I obtain income and love the children there. I had to realize that it was a complex situation but that after numerous negative experiences with higher up, it was not good for my mental health. By me removing myself from this situation, I was able to apply complexity awarenessand critical thinking.    Tamar J.  For listeners, my question for you would be: 1. What key aspects from the Inner Development Goals Domains is your most important aspect in your life? 2. How does this favorite aspect help you to navigate through life?]

Being – Integrity and Authenticity and Self-awareness

...See more What skills is your foundation made of and how do they apply to your life? I would say, that for me, Integrity and Authenticity are important, as well as Self-awareness. I think that being a person with character and being true to oneself is more important than anything else. I hold that in very regard. I do this by implementing daily life actions, things that I will and will do. Maintaining who I am as a person, I uphold my values and beliefs as a human being. I also uphold authenticity and self-awareness by not complying with societal pressures and focusing on how I feel and what is going on around me. Critical thinking, complexity awareness, and sense-making are also values or actions that I uphold in my daily life as well, which ties into integrity and authenticity. Maintaining sense-making is related to self-awareness due to you being able to it pertaining to SELF. I uphold also listening to myself, gut and what makes me feel comfortable in my daily life by adhering to my self-awareness, sense-making. If I do not conform to societal pressures than I can maintain/uphold my sense-making.  So, my foundation is made of such foundations, 1) Being – Integrity and Authenticity and Self-awareness and also 2) Thinking – Critical Thinking, Complexity Awareness, and Sense-making.   Questions for fellow listeners: #1 What does your foundation look like when following the Inner Development Goals? Why? #2 How can you increase the utilization of this goal into your daily life?]
