Befriending our powerful emotions

It is important to know why befriending our feelings that is everyday feelings, anxiety, depression, fear and grief. It is common to feel a bit anxious or scared before we do things it can be a presentation at work or a feeling of proud after winning something like a competition in school event. 

We begin to feel our heart beat faster, being jittery where we can not sit or stand still these our emotions. Some emotions can make us upset a loss of a loved one or pet or child, loss of a job promotion. We hold ourselves to show the outer core of being okay when inside we are really not okay. 

We try to find a path that help us move forward in expressing our feelings. It is how we ask for others to help us or we turn to Mindfulness to help us cope with feelings. Feelings simply mean we are alive and human beings not to be judged or criticized for how we feel. 

Living life fully means having an open heart. We use all our senses: touch, smell, hear and taste. When feelings are noticed people will tend to become calmer.

it's not the end of the world we will get over it? 

it's a feeling of being human

We need as a community to show love not only to ourselves but to others in the mindfulness community. We need to show support and not be afraid to ask for support.

Emotions are powerful, thank you for making them the topic of today's post.

How do you feel when your emotions are running wild? how do you calm yourself down.

Today I feel calm and content. When my emotions are running wild, I like to talk to myself as a good friend who wants to help me to explore the roots of my emotions. Deep breathing exercises help me a lot but also going for a walk to calm down. When things are really rough and hard to accept, I try to find a little thing I can do to regain contentment. I might not be able to solve the situation, but I did something what gives me the feeling that I am moving forward and are not stuck.

Emotions are a lot for some to understand and emotions can go beyond just being depressed or let down. It can be happiness, anger etc. I am glad you liked the post I want to try helping others be more positive then feel left out or judged.

@pamharley003. I do breathing meditations and repeat affirmations. Sometimes I read over my gratitude journal.

I feel anxious. I watch series to feel calmer haha .

It feels like im panicking, i do deep breathing!

How do you feel when your emotions are running wild? how do you calm yourself down. When emotions are running wild it feels chaotic. A walk in nature helps calm things down sometimes.

Your welcome for liking the post I want to build this community with topics that will make us see more into something like emotions post did. There were good answers from those who replied and that makes me happy
