Hello Leadership Crew!
I am having a blast with you all. This leadership program is a lot of fun and Im glad we are doing it. I think itll help across many fronts. Shout out to @aleks2 and @quietmagic for their help looking at the first batch of results on our leadership composition. ÃÂ
Here is a summary:
Here is a summary from @quietmagic on what our collective - all of us together - strengths and weaknesses might be:
Leadership Crew Strengths:
Altruism/motivation: Having a deep passion for helping people that drives all we do and creates a feeling of purpose and meaning
Idealism: Having inspiring dreams and visions of just how unbelievably powerful and beneficial this site can be: imagining all of the good we might be able to create, all of the suffering we might be able to help heal
Kindness: Being able to create a kind, cooperative, culture that is gentle and considerate with people's feelings
Compassion: Being able to understand, connect with, and feel an urgency to resolve the needs, concerns, or problems of the people that we serve
Relationship: Feeling a yearning for deep, meaningful connections with others, creating a community where people are able to be authentic and feel a sense of belongingness
Leadership Crew Weaknesses
Practical implementation: Developing and optimizing systems, managing the fine details for concretely achieving our broad goals
Risk-taking: Being willing to take risks or make drastic changes to existing systems/practices where needed
The above analysis feels/seems right to me. This new leadership program in fact can be seen as one way that we are attempting to address a growth area by optimizing our leadership systems! And, zooming back, if there was going to be a team of people that was going to try to pull off the impossible (a free emotional support system), then I think itd be with the leadership composition described above under strengths. Itll take a lot of optimism and kindness to make this a reality!
Okay, lets transition to the next exercise and discussion.
Begin by taking the Big 5 test and answering the following questions. You can also read more on the Big 5 here ÃÂ and below.
1. What were the main things you learned about yourself?
2. What are your top 3 strengths according to this test?
3. How can the strengths you identified on both tests help you in your personal life?
4. How can the strengths you identified on both tests help you in a leadership role on 7 Cups and in your career?
After fulfilling the requirements of this post, please check out the next post here! You must take part in the brainstorming/activities given in all of these posts to successfully complete the program.
This post is brought to you by the Leadership Development Program Team, find out more information about the program here.
Thanks for this amazing test~
1. What were the main things you learned about yourself?
The main things that I learned about myself are that I am very calm, my emotions are pretty stable and I am not aggressive or irritable. Also, I have a messy desk because of my personality
2. What are your top 3 strengths according to this test?
I am original, creative, curious and complex. I am relatively open to new experiences;
I am introverted, reserved, inhibited and quiet.
I tend to be calm, relaxed, secure and hardy. Even in tense situations.
3. How can the strengths you identified on both tests help you in your personal life?
The results tell me to stay curious, creative, and imaginative. It tells me to stay who I am because I am the most special one, and for my personal life, I will achieve success if I stay who I am and be who I am.
4. How can the strengths you identified on both tests help you in a leadership role on 7 Cups and in your career?
As the result showed, I am introverted, when talking on 7 Cups, it makes me feel much more relaxed, and I am not very aggressive, the member can trust on me.
Also, I am so stable and hardy. Whatever the situation is, I can always feel secure. That provides both myself and the member with a maximum sense of security because it's hard for me to feel uncomfortable in the chat and ask the member to switch a listener.
In my career, I may not be capable of the social situation, but I have many ideas, and I am willing to try out new things, find an easier way to solve problems.
My Results Compared to Partner (only one result was slightly different for me)
1. What were the main things you learned about yourself?
I've taken these tests before, so I got results that I expected. It did make me more aware of my tendencies compared to those of my partner.
2. What are your top 3 strengths according to this test?
I guess that I'm extraverted, agreeable, and conscientious.
3. How can the strengths you identified on both tests help you in your personal life?
I can build confidence in myself to be more proactive and effective because I care about others and do my best to consider others. I can have faith in trying my best.
4. How can the strengths you identified on both tests help you in a leadership role on 7 Cups and in your career?
As noted in the previous question, I can use my strengths to figure out what action is best for everyone and take action to make that happen.
An insightful test!
The things that I learned about myself- Im neither organised nor disorganised. I get anxious quite quickly and worry often (very true lol) I like to spend time alone
My biggest strengths- I tend to be empathetic and consider the feelings of others.
This would help me both in my career and also in 7 cups as it enables me to empathetic and take into consideration the feelings and opinions of my colleagues and those I'm involved with.
Thank you so much for this test :)
@GlenM
Here are my results:
Open-Mindedness
You are relatively open to new experiences. (Your percentile: 73)
Conscientiousness
You probably have a messy desk! (Your percentile: 3)
Extraversion
You tend to shy away from social situations. (Your percentile: 30)
Agreeableness
You tend to consider the feelings of others. (Your percentile: 73)
Negative Emotionality
You are a generally anxious person and tend to worry about things. (Your percentile: 91)
1. What were the main things you learned about yourself?
I didn't really learnt a lot about me as I kind of knew about all these traits but the percentile on the negative emotionality definitely surprised me. I wasn't expecting it to be 91 percentile. Probably it might be because I'm more nervous and anxious these days which might have affected the test results. Other than that, I already knew that I'm very much welcoming to try knew things, I'm messy and that I recently became more introverted. From the past two and a half years, my extraversion is slowly and surely reducing which is alright with me. As for the, 73 percent on the agreeableness, I knew about that as well.
2. What are your top 3 strengths according to this test?
According to the test, my AGREEABLENESS, OPEN MINDEDNESS are my top strengths. I don't know which other trait could be identified as a strength other than those two. Probably introversion.
3. How can the strengths you identified on both tests help you in your personal life?
My Introversion helps me to relax and have more time to myself away from the drama of the society which is definitely helpful to focus on my own self. Also, my open mindedness helps me be unjudgemental towards others and agreeableness makes me feel very strongly which could be both a strength and a weekness.
4. How can the strengths you identified on both tests help you in a leadership role on 7 Cups and in your career?
My strength of being open minded can help me accept ideas and suggestions openly from everyone and my agreeableness lets me look at things from other people's point of view which can be a very helpful trait as a leader.
1. What were the main things you learned about yourself?
I learned that I enjoy novel experiences, that I am very well-organized and that I don't get particularly nervous.
2. What are your top 3 strengths according to this test?
Open-mindedness, conscientiousness, and agreeableness.
3. How can the strengths you identified on both tests help you in your personal life?
Based on the strengths, I can talk to a wide variety of people across different situational contexts and learn a lot from those other people.
4. How can the strengths you identified on both tests help you in a leadership role on 7 Cups and in your career?
They are helpful in providing members a sense of calm, agreeableness, and non-judgemental attitude while I engage in professional chats with them.
@SynSavory
We have the same personality just about! I too am agreeable, open-minded and very social. Although, I am more on the emotional side rather than calm and relaxed.
@SynSavory
Your answers suggest that you possess important skills which would allow you to contribute immensely to 7 Cups. It feels so good that my peers at 7 Cups possess really good skillsets. I hope to learn from you. I wish you the best in your journey!
@SynSavory
loved what you learnt about yourself! Great qualities to have!
@SynSavory
Sound like you have learnt quite a few things about yourself, how great self knowledge is, isn`t it?!
My Results:
Closed-MindedOpen to New Experiences (97th percentile)
DisorganizedConscientious (6th perentile)
IntrovertedExtraverted (5th percentile)
DisagreeableAgreeable (94th percentile)
Calm / RelaxedNervous / High-Strung (57th percentile)
1. What were the main things you learned about yourself?
I learned that I am open-minded, creative and imaginative. I am also good-natured, and forgiving. I tend to be pretty disorganized, and I prefer to go by the flow, and not stick to a plan. I also tend to be quiet and reserved, preferring to listen instead of talk, and speaking only when necessary. I also learned that although I can be emotional at times, I dont let it hinder daily functioning.
2. What are your top 3 strengths according to this test?
My top three strengths are: open-minded, agreeableness, and ability to stay calm and relaxed when necessary.
3. How can the strengths you identified on both tests help you in your personal life?
The strengths I identified in both tests allow me to be kind, supportive, and forgiving towards everyone I come across. I can also be creative and come up with original ideas outside the box.
4. How can the strengths you identified on both tests help you in a leadership role on 7 Cups and in your career?
In my opinion, one of the most important qualities a leader should have is compassion. Luckily, being an INFP and scoring 94th percentile on agreeableness on the big five test, I have an abundance of it. Other strengths of mine that I believe will be helpful for leadership and in my career are: open-mindedness, creativity, passion, curiosity and willingness to learn.
@miraculousheart9815
I am glad that you learned that even though you can get emotional, you don't let it hinder your daily functioning. People, including myself, tend to let our emotions get the best of us. For me, I tend to get too deep into the things I am doing or the people in my life and forget to take a step back so that I can slow down for a second. It is definitely hard to not let your emotions get the best of you.
@CognitiveACE
True, it is hard to not let emotions get the best of you! It took me quite some time and practice to get here though, and even then, I slip up sometimes.
It is really important to slow down sometimes, and just take a deep breath :)
@miraculousheart9815
Your score on OpenMindedness and agreeableness is indeed miraculous. I believe that 7 Cups would immensely benefit with your skillsets. I hope to learn from you! I wish you the best in your journey in your life and here on 7 Cups!
@shiningSound31
Thank you! That was really sweet
@miraculousheart9815
Love how your scores are clearly high or low! Mine are so confusing. I guess that's what I learnt from my tests, that I'm confused, haha.
Anyway, glad to read how you plan to use your strengths as a future 7cups leader! All the best 😊👍
@peacefulWarrior10
Maybe that means you have a little bit of everything? Like, you are both extroverted and introverted, depending on the situation, or both organized and disorganized.
And thank you!
@miraculousheart9815
Yeah, like best of both worlds 😄
@miraculousheart9815
Your qualities of open-mindness and agreeableness are so impressive
@sunflower2480
Ahh thank you!!
@NorahListens I definitely agree with how your strengths play out on the qualities of a leader! We are similar with those qualities.
1. What were the main things you learned about yourself?

I feel, my strengths will help me support and guide myself and other people in my life efficiently. I will be extremely reliable and not let down anyone under any circumstances.
4. How can the strengths you identified on both tests help you in a leadership role on 7 Cups and in your career?
With the help of my strengths, I would be a reliable leader which will help people to look up to me. I will be selfless and be supportive at all times. I will be tolerant enough to listen patiently to everyone's thoughts and opinions and guide them.
@generousDiamond35
Reliability is a very important factor to be a leader. So glad to read that's your strength! All the best 🙂👍
@peacefulWarrior10
Thank you so much!!
@GlenM
1. What were the main things you learned about yourself?
The results reaffirm what I have been aware of, but it also highlighted the things I have been trying to work on.
2. What are your top 3 strengths according to this test?
Extraversion, agreeableness and open mindedness
extraversion (though balanced at 60%) was interesting result as I was INFP with 16 personalities (meyers briggs). I think the variation though just affirms what I was thinking before, being really in the middle. It highlights the ambiguity of consistent measure and that different sources take or exclude different things into consideration or weight things differently. Over time I have noted I generally am in the middle with elements of both experiences.
3. How can the strengths you identified on both tests help you in your personal life?
They already do make a difference as they havent changed how I interact with people, which is generally positive even in tough conversations.
4. How can the strengths you identified on both tests help you in a leadership role on 7 Cups and in your career?
They can allow me to funnel information and situations to interact/ act from my strengths.
@GlenM
For Openness, I am creative and curious about the world around me, while being open to new experiences. I scored at the 78th percentile.
For Conscientiousness, My score tells me I am sort of a messy person. I fall in the 8th percentile. For Extraversion, I discovered that I am both social and reserved depending on the situation and people I am with. scored at the 47th percentile. For Agreeableness, I am neither too forgiving nor irrtable. I fall in the 48th percentile.
For Neuroticism, I discovered I tend to be somewhat anxious and nervous about difficult situations. I scored at the 66th percentile.
1. What were the main things you learned about yourself?
After taking this test, I do believe I have learnt a few new traits of myself, which have helped me better understand my ow personality as well as the strengths and weaknesses I have as a person. I was somewhat surprised by result for Agreeableness as I always thought I was more of a forgiving person but this helps me work more to become a better person. I was satisfied with my scores for Extraversion as I agree that I am more outgoing and social around people I am comfortable with and rather reserved around new people. My score Neuroticism made me realize that being anxious and nervous about things is a part of my personality and there's nothing wrong with being a little worried about the outcome of some situations.
2. What are your top 3 strengths according to this test?
After doing the test, I understand that my top 3 traits are; Agreeableness for which I scored in the middle percentile which I believe shows that I am a quite forgiving person but not so much, as allowing people to work over me or use me. Another one was, Openness which was pretty high, I have high curiosity, creativity and I am always open to new experiences and ideas. Lastly, I think having sort of high score in Neuroticism might be one of my strong suites as I pay attention to details and worry about things/tasks until I complete them or get them right which could be very helpful.
3. How can the strengths you identified on both tests help you in your personal life?
Completing both the tests were extremely helpful for me for both my personal and professional self, as I identified certain strengthes from both that enable me to be a stong and caring person. I will use the result from both the tests to make myself more level-headed, kind individual that believes in motivating others to be their best self while working hard in my own roles as well.
4. How can the strengths you identified on both tests help you in a leadership role on 7 Cups and in your career?
Being part of the 7 Cups community has given me a lot of strength and helped me become a better person overall. Through the tests, I discovered certain traits/skills I posses which would help me interact better with members on 7 cups and as a leader, I might now be netter equipped to help others bring out the best in them while helping them in areas of difficulty. I would definitely encourage others to take these tests and understand more about themselves and hpw they ca improve. From the career side, I would really like to apply what I have learnt through these tests about myself while helping others as a therapist and work on giving my best effort in all the work I do to help make a difference in the world.
@BookChunky
It sounds like these tests gave you some good insight. I would also like to use my skills to become a therapist in the future!
@InvaderStitch and @BookChunky
I also wish to become a therapist, working on this
1. What were the main things you learned about yourself?
I learned that I enjoy having novel experiences and seeing things in new ways.
2. What are your top 3 strengths according to this test?
Curious, reliable, good-natured.
3. How can the strengths you identified on both tests help you in your personal life?
I am good-natured, meaning I go with the flow and am very agreeable. It's easier to be good-natured rather than question everything and everyone with suspicion.
4. How can the strengths you identified on both tests help you in a leadership role on 7 Cups and in your career?
By being curious, I know how to ask good open ended questions in order to help me get to know people better. I'm reliable, which means I will be on time for things and will always be a listening ear.
@freshMint9376
Hi! Being curious, reliable, and good-natured are awesome traits. I also am good-natured, although curious is something I am not really. I agree that it can be easier to be good-nature's and go with the flow!
@freshMint9376
Curiousity is such a great strength to have. It's one that I pride myself in also.
