Hello Leadership Crew!
I am having a blast with you all. This leadership program is a lot of fun and Im glad we are doing it. I think itll help across many fronts. Shout out to @aleks2 and @quietmagic for their help looking at the first batch of results on our leadership composition. ÃÂ
Here is a summary:
Here is a summary from @quietmagic on what our collective - all of us together - strengths and weaknesses might be:
Leadership Crew Strengths:
Altruism/motivation: Having a deep passion for helping people that drives all we do and creates a feeling of purpose and meaning
Idealism: Having inspiring dreams and visions of just how unbelievably powerful and beneficial this site can be: imagining all of the good we might be able to create, all of the suffering we might be able to help heal
Kindness: Being able to create a kind, cooperative, culture that is gentle and considerate with people's feelings
Compassion: Being able to understand, connect with, and feel an urgency to resolve the needs, concerns, or problems of the people that we serve
Relationship: Feeling a yearning for deep, meaningful connections with others, creating a community where people are able to be authentic and feel a sense of belongingness
Leadership Crew Weaknesses
Practical implementation: Developing and optimizing systems, managing the fine details for concretely achieving our broad goals
Risk-taking: Being willing to take risks or make drastic changes to existing systems/practices where needed
The above analysis feels/seems right to me. This new leadership program in fact can be seen as one way that we are attempting to address a growth area by optimizing our leadership systems! And, zooming back, if there was going to be a team of people that was going to try to pull off the impossible (a free emotional support system), then I think itd be with the leadership composition described above under strengths. Itll take a lot of optimism and kindness to make this a reality!
Okay, lets transition to the next exercise and discussion.
Begin by taking the Big 5 test and answering the following questions. You can also read more on the Big 5 here ÃÂ and below.
1. What were the main things you learned about yourself?
2. What are your top 3 strengths according to this test?
3. How can the strengths you identified on both tests help you in your personal life?
4. How can the strengths you identified on both tests help you in a leadership role on 7 Cups and in your career?
After fulfilling the requirements of this post, please check out the next post here! You must take part in the brainstorming/activities given in all of these posts to successfully complete the program.

@GlenM
1. I am open-minded (38%), meaning that I am somewhat conventional. I am conscientious (9%), meaning that I probably have a messy desk. I have extraversion (48%), meaning that I am neither particularly social or reserved. I am agreeable (3%), meaning that i find it easy to criticize others. I am negative emotionally (91%), meaning that i am a generally anxious person and tend to worry about things.
2. The top 3 strengths i have are : negative emotionally, extraversionous and open minded.
3. Honestly, i am not completely sure. But I think that they will help me understand myself better and be the best version of myself, and also fix my "flaws" but for that I'll need the help of a professional.
4. As i said, they will help me understand myself better and fix my "flaws", but i think they will also help me understand other people better and relate to them more.
@GlenM
My scores:
open Mindedness 77%
Conscientiousness 63%
Extraversion 38%
Agreeableness 24%
Negative Emotionality 94%
Looking at peoples posts, I personally feel the agreeable scores are too low all across the board.
I mean, low agreeableness is ROUGH. Its not I have my own opinion, its more like If I think youre an idiot I will tell it to your face and not give a damn about social consequences because screw being nice. If youre doing well on Seven Cups, as in not being banned, not being reported, I would have to guess that youre pretty agreeable. Or at least acting that way on the site. This site skewers heavily towards being nice (which is awesome btw! We need more spaces like this on the internet!).
I wonder if theres something wrong with the design of the test?
1. What were the main things you learned about yourself?
I'm not sure I really learned anything about myself from these, I've taken personality tests before. I think I have a good idea of what I'm good at without them.
2. What are your top 3 strengths according to this test?
I'm confused by this question, I don't feel like this test lays out top 3 strengths.
3. How can the strengths you identified on both tests help you in your personal life?
Being analytical allowed me to figure out health issues that my doctors were clueless on that may have saved my life.
4. How can the strengths you identified on both tests help you in a leadership role on 7 Cups and in your career?
People can trust me to get things done when I'm well. I like to do a good job on the things I work on.

@GlenM
After taking this test, I learnt that I am very open-minded and I am open to new experiences and I am very creative curious and complex! I also learnt that I have a high negative emotionality, meaning I get easily nervious and anxious.
My first strength is that I am a well-organized individual and I am very reliable. Second, is that I have a very agreeable nature, in that I tend to be considerate of the feelings of others. Third, I am open-minded and tend to seek out new experiences.
Being open-mindedness is really important in life because it aids you to become more confident as an individual and be successful in order to maintain relationships and flourish within them (be it platonic relationships or romantic)
As a leader, one of the most important qualites to have is being organized and reliable. Individuals rely on you and therefore it is really important that you have a personality that is reliable and organized. I believe that this quality of mine can help me be successful in 7 Cups and in my career. More so, being considerate of others is a crucial aspect of 7 Cups, as you are helping vulnerable individuals and they rely on you for comfort. It is really important to be open-minded when it comes to other people's situations, be understanding, and be considerate and kind.
Open-Mindedness High scorers tend to be original, creative, curious, complex; Low scorers tend to be conventional, down to earth, narrow interests, uncreative. You prefer traditional and familiar experiences. (Your percentile: 8)
Conscientiousness High scorers tend to be reliable, well-organized, self-disciplined, careful; Low scorers tend to be disorganized, undependable, negligent. You are well-organized, and are reliable. (Your percentile: 63)
Extraversion High scorers tend to be sociable, friendly, fun loving, talkative; Low scorers tend to be introverted, reserved, inhibited, quiet. You probably enjoy spending quiet time alone. (Your percentile: 0)
Agreeableness High scorers tend to be good natured, sympathetic, forgiving, courteous; Low scorers tend to be critical, rude, harsh, callous. You find it easy to criticize others. (Your percentile: 10)
Negative Emotionality High scorers tend to be nervous, high-strung, insecure, worrying; Low scorers tend to be calm, relaxed, secure, hardy. You probably remain calm, even in tense situations.
@GlenM
Hi!
I didn t learn a lot, but my results say that I can be introverted and extraverted, according to the context. I also can use my brain and / or my heart, depending on the situation. I think that makes me a combo (?)
My Big Five results suggest that I have an open, complex mind, that I am highly organized and reliable, and that I can make use of what I need to get the job done.
In my personal life, that makes a mix (combo?). I can do and be what I need to do and be, according to the environments and situations. I can use both my mind and my heart to achieve my goals.
I will use my complex nature to get it done! I use my heart to meet the warmth, and my brain to meet the expectations. I ll use my mind to find possible solutions and ideas, and to solve problems. I am and will be reliable, taking advantage of my organized-self. I will also use my heart to spread as much love as I can. I will do my best.
Hello @GlenM
I learned a lot about myself during this test. Thank you for recommending it :)
1. What were the main things you learned about yourself?
One main thing I learned about myself was no matter how scared of new changes or new places I might be, I really enjoy having novel experiences and seeing things in new ways. (My percentile: 95) Pretty High :p
2. What are your top 3 strengths according to this test?
My top strengths according to the test are:
1. I am good-natured, courteous, and supportive. (My percentile: 97)
2. I enjoy having novel experiences and seeing things in new ways. (My percentile: 95)
3. I am outgoing, social, and energetic. (My percentile: 86)
3. How can the strengths you identified on both tests help you in your personal life?
In real life, we always do the SWOT analysis to recognize our strengths on our own but when we answer these questions we never think about before, we learn a lot about ourselves and sometimes it helps us choose the right path forward for us. And that is how I think they help us in our personal lives.
4. How can the strengths you identified on both tests help you in a leadership role on 7 Cups and in your career?
Any leadership role depends on knowing your strengths and weaknesses and developing them. These tests help us in knowing ourselves better and how we can help the community we work in better. <3
