Welcome back, crew! We've discussed leading yourself and others. Let's talk about leading ÃÂ within the community!
A car is a ÃÂ system that has different levels of components. Each component is a system in itself like engine, accelerator, gears, clutch, tires, seats, front deck, mirrors, and so on. Each of these components is also a system too. But when they are integrated into one big system, it comprises the bigger picture as a car which facilitates movement from one place to another. ÃÂ
Similarly, 7Cups is a system. A system of small systems that have their own defined set of goals but contributing towards a bigger goal (community goal).
When you are a lead of a project, you are not just leading your own project but also within the community as well. Examples: Verified Listener Program, Active Listening Tests, Listener Coaching, Quality Mentor, Listener Support Chat Rooms, and so on are individual projects that contribute to supporting a user to become a better listener to support the member they listen to and the community at large. Everyone is functioning as an integral part of the system. ÃÂ
To ensure the smooth operation of your system and the whole system, you need to collaborate with other community and project leaders to problem solve and be well synced. ÃÂ
Everything is interlinked and interconnected. You are part of the community and leading within the community. And, when everyone collectively gathers together to achieve one purpose, we are cultivating a sense of community solidarity.
Exercise:
1. ÃÂ Give an example of how you are part of this community and how are you contributing as an individual, as a team, and within the community. ÃÂ
2. Please reply to 3 of your peers in the thread!
After fulfilling the requirements of this post, please proceed to the end of Course 4!ÃÂ
This post is brought to you by the Leadership Development Program Team, find out more information about the program here.

1. Give an example of how you are part of this community
Every single person registered as a 7cups user IS by default part of this community. An ocean is a collection of billions/trillions of droplets. Similarly, all of us are part of this community in the interactions we have and the time we spend here.
2. Give an example of how you contributing as an individual
As a verified listener, I provide people with one-to-one support (in the form of listening) as objectively and non-judgmentally as I can.
3. Give an example of how are you contributing as a team
As a room supporter, I work with a team of community leaders in different positions to be there for 7 Cups users by facilitating open chats, forum discussions, and hosting events.
4. Give an example of how you are contributing within the community.
I am a sharing circle host. I do my best to support sharers by fostering a positive environment for sharing and creating a sense of community.

Give an example of how you are part of this community and how are you contributing as an individual, as a team, and within the community.
I have been taking part a lot more in discussions with the listeners either in the listen group support of when there is a listener discussion room on. I completed the Verified listener program and also offered information to others interested in taking the test themselves. I have also completed the active listening 2 course and become a sharing circle host. All these steps that I have to are to help me become a better leader, work as a team and help build the 7cups community.
1. Give an example of how you are part of this community and how are you contributing as an individual, as a team, and within the community.
I am involved with the community as an Academy Mentor, Chatroom Mentor, Community Mentor, and Quality Mentor.
As an individual, I try my best in providing others helpful tools.
As a member of a team, I work with other compassionate people.
Within the community, I provide chat support to listeners and host discussions for members.
@competentParadise6344

I support and co host discussions that spreads positivity to members while effectively listening to them
I contribute as an individual in making members feel welcomed and get them to feel like 7 cups is a comfort place for them
My team mates and I work hard to make interesting discussions and help members feel like there's someone who can relate to them, like they aren't alone
We contribute within the community by providing encouragement to ask for help. We lead by example that asking for help is totally acceptable and that we are here for them whenever they need us
Within 7 Cups I am a Teen Listener and Peer Support. I am working on getting a few other roles as well. I feel that by helping others I am helping myself. It is great to be a part of such a wonderful and inspiring team and community.
@BellatheHappyHelper
your kindness and gratitude is radiating, thanks for sharing them with us!

I would like to believe that I'm very encouraging and supportive of everyone. So being encouraging helps boost everyone's confidence in their roles and boosts the overall mood of the community! I'm in many leadership teams, I hope I'm helping others feel motivated to continue their work in the teams I'm in.
@Heather225 I am the leader of the Listener Sharing Circle teams, I am contributing to creating a safe space for listeners to share their journey. For the team, I am motivating and encouraging all of them, to make them feel supported and appreciated. For the community, I am keeping a safe space for the listeners.

I feel right from when I became a listener here, my contribution in the community as an individual began, at the core we are all listeners here for our members , after a while when I started applying for roles , I began working as a team and within the community, being in quite some roles now....my most favorite roles are that of peer support and listener verifier, both of these roles help me be a stronger part of the listener community , and help our team of amazing listeners grow and improve always .
Some one once said, when you help a listener you're indirectly helping so many members that may come in contact with the listener you supported ; which then makes it a great example of a combined effort in individual contribution striking the support as a team within the community.

I'm listening to others, replying to them and encourage them. I'm replying in check-in threads as an individual, as a team I help others hosting the threads or make their life easier with answering. Within the community I make sure that people are not alone and are heard.
