Welcome back, crew! We've discussed leading yourself and others. Let's talk about leading ÃÂ within the community!
A car is a ÃÂ system that has different levels of components. Each component is a system in itself like engine, accelerator, gears, clutch, tires, seats, front deck, mirrors, and so on. Each of these components is also a system too. But when they are integrated into one big system, it comprises the bigger picture as a car which facilitates movement from one place to another. ÃÂ
Similarly, 7Cups is a system. A system of small systems that have their own defined set of goals but contributing towards a bigger goal (community goal).
When you are a lead of a project, you are not just leading your own project but also within the community as well. Examples: Verified Listener Program, Active Listening Tests, Listener Coaching, Quality Mentor, Listener Support Chat Rooms, and so on are individual projects that contribute to supporting a user to become a better listener to support the member they listen to and the community at large. Everyone is functioning as an integral part of the system. ÃÂ
To ensure the smooth operation of your system and the whole system, you need to collaborate with other community and project leaders to problem solve and be well synced. ÃÂ
Everything is interlinked and interconnected. You are part of the community and leading within the community. And, when everyone collectively gathers together to achieve one purpose, we are cultivating a sense of community solidarity.
Exercise:
1. ÃÂ Give an example of how you are part of this community and how are you contributing as an individual, as a team, and within the community. ÃÂ
2. Please reply to 3 of your peers in the thread!
After fulfilling the requirements of this post, please proceed to the end of Course 4!ÃÂ
This post is brought to you by the Leadership Development Program Team, find out more information about the program here.
Give an example of how you are part of this community and how are you contributing as an individual, as a team, and within the community.
I give the listeners something to listen to. I also log into the chat room called sharing circle to participate and listen to what people are saying.
Give an example of how you are part of this community.
I am part of this community by getting more involved in leadership roles, but continuing to do 1:1 chats.
How are you contributing as an individual?
As individual, I want to continue to stay in touch with the real purpose of this site and that is being a resource to support members. So I am continuing to balance taking on leadership roles along with continuing to do 1:1 chats
How are you contributing as a team?
As part of the team, if I am in a chat room and someone needs help with a chat and no one steps up to help or take the chat, I always lend my support.
How are you contributing within the community?
Within the community, I recently became a Verified Listener and trying to give my best as a verified listener
@JoeyTribbbiani
Congratulations on becoming a verified listener!! Thank you for all you do for this community! :-)
@Containedchaos
Thank you so much❤️

Exercise:
1. Give an example of how you are part of this community and how are you contributing as an individual, as a team, and within the community.
I am involved in helping people in many ways through this beautiful platform called 7 Cups which allows me to take appropriate roles that suits me according to my skills.
As an individual, I am an active, verified listener & love taking up 1-On-1 chats with new members, following up with the old ones weekly/monthly as required.
As a team, I work with Safety patrol, the 7 Cups Translation & lightship team members.
Within the community, I make sure to reply to at least 2-3 members through forum posts who are in distress. I love participating in ice-breakers and fun discussion activity over forums. I take great interest in the forum discussion & expressing my opinions.
2. Please reply to 3 of your peers in the thread!
Done
@lyricalAngel70
You are doing so much for Cups. Thank you for all you do! :-)
@Containedchaos
Thanks for your encouraging message. ❤
It made my day. How are you?
1. Give an example of how you are part of this community
I have spent a lot of time in sharing circle hosting and supporting, I became a listener over a month ago, and during these courses I have become a room supporter.
2. How are you contributing as an individual?
I try to create a supportive and encouraging environment in the chatroom while attending or hosting. I take on a few new members a week to listen and support. I have offered to help with ways to improve a new member experience and understanding of the chatroom.
3. As a team?
Work with other room supporters and mods to ensure the chatrooms are safe and welcoming. I started as a room supported recently and will start working as a team member with other room supporters.
4. Within the community?
Creating a warm, welcoming, and encouraging chatroom and model this for others. Encourage others to host and assist them with hosting to help them gain confidence so we can gain more hosts. Make needed reports for questionable and negative behavior to keep the site safe and supportive.
@Containedchaos
I agreed. You do create warm, welcoming, and encouraging chatroom on SC. That's awesome CC! 💙
@Containedchaos

⭐︎ 1. Give an example of how you are part of this community and how you are contributing as an individual, as a team, and within the community.
As an individual:
○ Continue learning from many resources on-site and off-site to correct my mistakes and improve my quality.
○ Only apply to a role that I have capability to do and excited about it.
As a team:
○ Plan and do active participation in roles I'm taking with consideration to my limitations.
○ Support peers in doing their part whenever possible. Listeners with or without roles are human with feelings too and supporting them is just as important.
Within the Community:
○ Switch to a Member account when I need personal support.
○ Being respectful, compassionate and supportive to others in whatever account I'm in.
○ Take a break from listening and roles from time to time.
⭐︎ 2. Please reply to 3 of your peers in the thread!

As a part of the team, I'm trying to provide quality support to both listeners and members. And within the community, I'm trying to provide care and encourage people.

As an individual: Continually working on learning more and doing better, hence participating in courses like the LDP to further my skills
As a team: Being part of the Anxiety Leadership team (as a Forum Supporter) and contributing to the work there and making sure that I'm involved.

As a team
- I have made sure to keep all the documents in check when my teammate isn't around
As a community
-I always make sure to check in with my leaders if I have any queries, and at the same time, I make sure to help any who ask me for assistance.

1. Give an example of how you are part of this community and how are you contributing as an individual, as a team, and within the community.
As a listener, I regularly engage in one-on-one conversations with members. I also engage heavily in group discussions, the listener support room and by posting on forums. I consider myself very active as I engage at least a few times a week to try to keep the community active, full of positivity, and to keep me engaged with the members, fellow listeners and the community at large. By participating in the Progress Path I am guided daily on how to better interact with the community. Being active in the community is vital to continue the positive culture here at 7Cups!
@warmLove3625
It's great to see you involved in so many different capacities!
