Welcome back, crew! We've discussed leading yourself and others. Let's talk about leading ÃÂ within the community!
A car is a ÃÂ system that has different levels of components. Each component is a system in itself like engine, accelerator, gears, clutch, tires, seats, front deck, mirrors, and so on. Each of these components is also a system too. But when they are integrated into one big system, it comprises the bigger picture as a car which facilitates movement from one place to another. ÃÂ
Similarly, 7Cups is a system. A system of small systems that have their own defined set of goals but contributing towards a bigger goal (community goal).
When you are a lead of a project, you are not just leading your own project but also within the community as well. Examples: Verified Listener Program, Active Listening Tests, Listener Coaching, Quality Mentor, Listener Support Chat Rooms, and so on are individual projects that contribute to supporting a user to become a better listener to support the member they listen to and the community at large. Everyone is functioning as an integral part of the system. ÃÂ
To ensure the smooth operation of your system and the whole system, you need to collaborate with other community and project leaders to problem solve and be well synced. ÃÂ
Everything is interlinked and interconnected. You are part of the community and leading within the community. And, when everyone collectively gathers together to achieve one purpose, we are cultivating a sense of community solidarity.
Exercise:
1. ÃÂ Give an example of how you are part of this community and how are you contributing as an individual, as a team, and within the community. ÃÂ
2. Please reply to 3 of your peers in the thread!
After fulfilling the requirements of this post, please proceed to the end of Course 4!ÃÂ
This post is brought to you by the Leadership Development Program Team, find out more information about the program here.
1. ÃÂ Give an example of how you are part of this community and how are you contributing as an individual, as a team, and within the community.
I am a part of this community as a verified listener but soon I will join the Listener check-in hosts role. I am contributing as an individual by trying to listen to as many people as possible so that those who are suffering and are going through hard times do not feel alone and have a listening ear to share whatever they want to share.
@Zarram77
that's good

An example of how I am part of this community is by doing a leadership role as a forum supporter. I am contributing as an individual by giving my assistance and time to those who need it, as a team, there are the mentors, ambassadors etc, we all work as a unit, I can add on to what was already posted, building on the topic and as a community, this is where we grow and learn and be supported
@KBeauty12
Just reading the comments of all of the leadership roles that people are undertaking is very inspiring. I can't wait to take on more roles myself.

As an individual, I'm a verified listener.
As a team, I'm a quality mentor.

I'm part of an initiative that helps people to feel better and strive to be better.
It is very moving for me when the members I listen to say that I have lifted their spirits. I think we all really do a great job.
@Elise849
A fellow quality mentor! Yay! ❤️
@Elise849

As an individual member, I participate in the chatrooms, and I'm both a trainee and alumni of the 7 Cups Academy. As part of the academy team, I guess you'd call it, I'm a project agent who hosts the orientation sessions and checks into the Academy Hub fairly often to see if there are any lingering questions. I'm open to feedback - just putting it out there. I'd love to hear how I can improve these sessions so that the trainees get the best start possible.
@GoldenNest2727
You are doing well to participate in so many of the listener programs. You inspire me. This is my content and also feedback.
@GoldenNest2727
Academy team is lovely, I wish you a great time there! 💜

I'm part of this community as a Quality Mentor and Listener Coach
How are you contributing as an individual, as a team, and within the community.
As an individual
- As a Listener Coach I'm contributing by guiding new and existing listeners - conducting practice mock chats, answering questions related to ongoing chats and active listening tests . The aim of my contribution is to improve their listening skills.
As a Team
- As a team of Listener Coaching I'm contributing by reaching out to listeners through doing an outreach, discussions and posting in the forums to spread awareness of our coaching team.
Within the community
- By being part of this team, I'm contributing to the community by improving listener's quality which would leave an overall positive experience in the form of quality support for members on 7cups.

I work in this community as a verified listener and room suporter for both adults and teens and by talking with various kinds of people everyday , taking up various programmes and participating in different training processes I believe I feel like one of the members in this huge heartwarming family !
As an individual I am contributing to spreading more awareness on mental health , trying to engage in more social work , reach out to people and help them open up about their issus instead of shutting all off and I am trying to work hard as a content creator on mental health due to which right now I have also taken part in the Content Development and Marketing Programme.
As a team I am partici[ating in various group support chatrooms and forums , raising various issues , normalising the common taboos on mental health and talking and spreading more awareness to help as much people as I can.
Within the community I am raising various topics for content and forum posts to gather opinions from a large number of people , creating a sense of cooperation and bonding making the atmosphere of the community feel like a family.
@PhoenixTears5972

@gentleFox20

@gentleFox20
I love your approach to sprinkle joy in every room! I think that's really important in places like 7 Cups, where really heavy topics get discussed.
