Welcome to our first course in the Leadership Development Program! I am very excited to get this going! Please find the course description below!

Course Description: You have personal gifts and strengths that can help you in life and also help other people. Identifying, amplifying, and deliberately building those strengths enables you to have a better personal life, professional life, and also enables you to more effectively serve others in our community. People sometimes make the mistake of focusing too much on their weaknesses. This can help, but deliberately building your strengths will get you much further in life and in your career. This course provides links to personality testing (MBTI, Big 5) where you can learn to identify your personality style and strengths. It helps you understand how to match your strengths to roles in the 7 Cups community and enables you to find a career path that will be fulfilling. Join other new leaders in individual and group learning exercises.

Activity: Please introduce yourself and let us (if comfortable) know where you are from and a recent book or movie you have enjoyed!

Please also reply to 3 of your peers in this thread with encouraging or supportive words!

Hi everyone!

I wasn't sure I could have been chosen for the community leader course, since I'm quite new here... So, I'm just too excited and happy!

Well.. My name is Stefania, I'm 20, from Italy and in a month I'll start attending the second year of the university course of psychology. In my free time I love reading, I'm a bookworm. The last book I read was called "The Antology of Spoon River" by Edgar Lee Masters. Is a book written about people living in a town described by the dead ones, as if they're phrases written oh their graves. I'm in love with literature from the 19th and 20th centuries, so I loved it a lot!!

I'm waiting forward to knowing you all as soon as possible.

Glad to be here!

Lots of love,

Stefania

I'm AffyAvo, I live in Alberta, Canada. I've been on 7 Cups for a while, I spend a fair bit of time in the disability support SC and I also try to help other members with questions they have about 7cups and I voice my opinion about changes I would like to see.

I currently have The Umbrella Academy on the go, but that's a show not a movie. Last movie was a teen dance thing, don't remember the name of it, I enjoyed it although it certainly wasn't deep. Last book I read was The Surgeon by Tess Gerritsen.

I've been involved with various projects here over time, so I look forward to see how this goes!

Hey everyone!
I'm 17 and currently living in the US. I'm so excited that I'm chosen for to be in the program!

I'm reading In Cold Blood - a classic true crime of Truman Capote! It is one of my favorite and definitely give me a lot of good insights and reflection on life.

Mhmm I can't really remember my most recent movie but it must be Eli (2019) and The Invitaion (2015). Both are horror movies and I love them both!
